He was definitely a fan.

man did he shit talk kongo

Last night on the countdown. I don’t know why it surprised me (since he’s biggest shit talker in mma), but it still did.

I laughed however, when wolfslair said “If this fight goes to the ground, than that’s just the start”.

I supposed I’m glad he’s finally doing some ground work, but is wolfslair the place to do it?

Anyways, I still like Kongo, and I hope he surprises me, cause I’m losing the faith, and Mir isn’t getting any smaller. Looked great last night.

by daniel worby on Dec 9, 2009 8:55 AM EST via mobile up reply actions

Don't worry

Kongo is going to beat him for sure. Mir is mentally weak and will look for a way out once Kongo is putting it on him! I can honestly say that Mir has no chance of submitting Kongo from the bottom which is where he’s gonna have to work from. I do have to admit that Frank was fresh like uh back in the day, lolz.

by RoBerto. on Dec 9, 2009 9:27 AM EST up reply actions

Holy Sh%t, are you for real?

RoB, I can totally understand being a Frank hater. You shouldn’t post in the middle of doing crafts, painting the house or cooking – whatever you’re doing. You must be on glue, paint fumes or sniffing Pam for a post like that.
Mir has a hundred and one chances to submit Cheik, go check out the Cain fight again and it’s easy to see Kongo is prime meat for anthing Frank wants to do. Frank isn’t mentally weak in my book either, he’s just that dumb to think he can and will walk over every oponent. If he actually believes it, it’s confidence – however wrong and dillusional it may be. Maybe put down the magic markers before adding comments next time?

by Edmonton25 on Dec 9, 2009 12:32 PM EST up reply actions

In the middle of doing what?

Haha.no, you are wrong man. You’ll see. Kongo is going to win with ease, Frank can’t wrestle for sh!t and has nothing to offer from the bottom. Kongo is as experienced and strong as Brock from the top so no problem.

Ya i got that, what i meant was.

There is no way in hell Kongo has the top-control Brock does. Kongo’s wrestling isnt better then Mirs, how could it be better then Brocks? Who has obviously proven he can wrestle and wrestle well.

Wolfslair are a terrible camp

Rough House is the place to go for anyone serious about training MMA in the UK. I haven’t been impressed by anyone from Wolfslair other than Rampage and he’s notorious for wasting his talent at poor camps and not training seriously.

I’m still amazed that more people don’t utilise Roger Gracie’s academy in London, they could learn some sick jits from there. Mixed martial artists need to follow GSP’s lead and train with the very best in each discipline, no point just having basic skills in all areas or only being good at one thing if you want to be a champion. Imagine how good a fighter someone would be if they trained boxing with Freddie Roach, wrestling with the olympians and BJJ with Roger Gracie as well as training at a top camp like Jackson Submissions that would be a scary good fighter.

"I’ll continue to watch their events and I hope they’ll (Zuffa) tune in to my fights in Strikeforce. After all, I’m a true fan of our fantastic sport and would love only to see MMA continue to grow."
Dan Henderson, classy.

"The reality is that I pushed him into signing that deal... I wanted him to s**t or get off the pot."
Dana White, classless.

by David W-S on Dec 9, 2009 10:04 AM EST up reply actions

Lol true but you get the idea, I want to see these guys utilise camps from other sports to become more complete mixed martial artists instead of relying solely on MMA training.

Right!

You’ll never become a great boxer or standup fighter only training in MMA camps.

wolfslair

Well, that’s what I was getting at when referencing wolfslair. Its hard for me to not think that if Chieck is the perfect size and build to take Brock, if it weren’t for his lack of development in other skills of mma. I like him, and it disappoints me that he’s not progressed further than he has to this point.

you guys are lost, common jay speak like a true Canadian!!

there are SEVEN seasons, 2 feature films, and 2 short films. The 1st short film is the Christmas special and the second one it titled “Say Goodnight to the Bad Guys”. The two feature films were actually released in theatres.

Regardless GREAT SHOW only seinfeld can rival it on a line by line basis. Different humour though so its hard to compare.

That being said, “leave him alone, he’s pulling his goalie!”

Trailer park boys in theatres...lol

Canada must love that show. You have to be stoned watching it, but i suppose that goes without saying to a Canadian smoker who watches TPB!!

It revolves around a trailer park in Nova Scotia. The same way my father grew up. That is why I started watching it.

Not far off

They are cult celebs. Meaning the people who know them love them. They do small shows and appearances here and there. I don’t think they are rich celebs or anything but they definitely have a small loyal following.

Glad to be free from Intro's tyranny.

by jay. on Dec 9, 2009 1:45 PM EST up reply actions

yea thats a legitimate excuse coming from a true Canadian!! hahah

but honestly i woulnd’t say they have a small loyal following, it’s actually huge. I saw both movies the first day they came out and the theatres were PACKED with people. Even the hype before they came out was pretty crazy. Mostly age 18-30 demo though

by Blunt n' Beer on Dec 9, 2009 10:02 PM EST up reply actions

Most of the people I know have seen the show

But I wouldn’t say they are “fans” of the show. Maybe it is more popular than I know. Good for them. Good group of guys. Did you ever see that Jonovision show that J-Roc used to have? I think it was on Much Music or something.

Glad to be free from Intro's tyranny.

by jay. on Dec 9, 2009 11:51 PM EST up reply actions

hahah yea i did, that show was a stark contrast to the J-Roc we have on TPB.

he’s actually coming out with a new show in which he comes off in a similar homosexual fashion as he did on jonvision. It’s very degrading to the name of J-Roc, to be perfectly honest with you lol. I see the previews all the time it looks weak.
