Watching this just makes me lament how much it sucks to have wrestling in MMA. Striking requires the most skill, is the most graceful and fun to watch of the disciplines

You obviously hate anything not MMA, therefore there is no way in hell you stayed up last night to watch this K-1 event……so why would anyone take anything you say about K-1 seriously when you don’t watch it?
You guys make me laugh….you’re whole argument about any combat sport is that MMA is multi-dimensional, and that K-1, boxing, etc…are all one-dimensional sports, therefore boring and sub-par. Well, the fact that you only watch one sport, and not the other ones, make you a one-dimensional fan….therefore you are boring and sub-par.

And think MMA is better and more exciting. I also side with Overeem when he says MMA fighters are more talented and tougher than any K1 fighter. There is no better sport in the world than MMA.

I was pissed that he lost too! Definitely event of the year, MMA isn't even close.
but my man Badr had a great tournament and he sent out Overeem which felt like the final and it probably almost did for him too. You can see how scared Semmy gets when they exchange punches, he can not take getting hit in the face and it messes up his game, lucky for him he tagged Hari who lost concentration with his guard for a second.

I thought badr was gonna catch schilt with a punch and knock him out a couple of times. that jab from schilt was the begining of the end though.
Badr kicked Semmy's ass not too long ago...I was shocked at the result of this fight

What’s so great about watching kickboxing? These guys would all lose to the top MMA or Boxing guys. It’s a sport that people get involved in when they aren’t good enough to compete in a sport with a future in it. What do these guys get paid for this?

MMA fighters are great all around fighters, but they are like the triathletes of combat sports. You could take the best triathlete in the world and argue that he’s the best all around at running, cycling, and swimming….and you’d make a strong case. But when racing Usian Bolt on the track, swimming with Michael Phelps in the pool, or racing Lance Armstrong on a bike…..they’d get their asses kicked.

What difference does it make?
It makes a huge difference since his question was “What do these guys get paid for this?” He didn’t ask “what did schilt make?”
You used Schilt as your example since he made the big payday as the winner in the #1 event of the year for K1. But why not actually show the realistic earnings? They definitely put on more than one fight a year so why only use one amount?

I thought it was entertaining. I’m not going to try and compare the two, but someone above said that striking takes more skill than wrestling. I have to disagree on that. Both take a lifetime of training to master. Just like in striking, you have to be able to anticipate and bait someone in wrestling. No offense, I was entertained, but Schilt did’t win this based on overall striking skill. He’s one of the most unathletic and uncoordinated dudes out there (on par with Big Timmeh). All in all a good show though.
