Rashad Evans' goals for 2010: Beat Thiago Silva, Rampage Jackson and Lyoto Machida

Quoteworthy:
"The thing is just not getting caught up in games at all. Just imposing my will and doing the things that I need to do. I think as long as I do that, I will find the opening that I’m looking for. As long as I’m reacting to what he is doing, I’m always going to find myself on the defensive end and therefore not being able to find my rhythm. If I go out there looking to establish my rhythm and do what I need to do, I’ll get him reacting and I can dictate the pace of the fight. Ultimately getting back to Machida is where I want to go. I definitely got at least another fight or two to go before I get to him. I would also definitely like to close things up with Rampage since we got into it like that. It’s something that the fans want to see and I definitely want to give the fans what they want."
Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Rashad Evans contemplates his future inside the Octagon after locking horns with Thiago Silva at UFC 108 this Saturday at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. "Suga" has some unfinished business with "Rampage" Jackson, who taunted him throughout the TUF 10 series only to bail on him at UFC 107 and go Hollywood. If he can get past Silva and ultimately a returning Jackson, is there a chance he'll have better luck against "The Dragon?"

Hahaha
Yeah right. lol He got handled by Machida like it was nobody’s business. He looked like an amateur to say the least. Do you really think he will pull out a miracle? I think he has a good chance against Thiago and Page, but I just can’t see it with Lyoto.

ok Buster!
I have a better shot at banging 3 UFC Octagon girls then Rashad going 3’-0 against Silva,Machida, Rampage! H^e could go 0’-3, but he is capable of beating silva, but he can forget the other 2
LOL Johnny
At least Rashad has some goals…Page doesn’t even care about the belt anymore…just making money and running his mouth and his “acting career”. I know Rashad is going to end the hype on Thiago and Page won’t train properly any more now that his goals have changed. I think Rashad learned a lot from fighting Machida despite his terriblr camp. No shame in losing to a fighter the caliber of Machida. I foresee Rashad going back to his roots in this fight and looking for more takedowns then a one punch KO

i think he'll go 2/3 too
but no go on machida
I actually think 0-2. He will never get to machida. He will lose saturday. lose to rampage. and fight someone else.

does he still get rampage next if he loses to silva?
They should let him fight rampage next either way. I think I read something about rampage fighting right before his movie comes out.

Well
I can see him beating Silva and Rampage. I don’t think he’ll get the chance to beat Machida simply because Shogun will be the champ. lol.
Even if
Shogun becomes the champ, he can fight Machida. That is a match up that people want to see. I loved watching Shad get handled like that. I would pay to see it again for sure.

I actually felt similary sad for rashad the same way I did for Forrest vs Anderson

Same
That was before i liked Rashad at all, i still felt a little bad for him. He sorta grew on me these past few months, wouldnt wanna see it happen again. Id love to see page get the Machida treatment though.
Going to church doesnt make you any more Christian than standing in a garage makes you a car.
Forrest getting smashed by Andy was my MMA highlight of 2009
Machida smashing Rashad was probabaly my second favourite moment. I like Rashad but seeing Machida perform like that after all of the needless bashing of his skills and fights was greatness and that ended up being one of the most entertaining KOs of all time.
"Anderson Silva is the best fighter on the planet...any Anderson Silva fight that is on, people should be buying that PPV, not because he’s my fighter but you know what, he to me is like the Muhammad Ali of MMA...the UFC has been around since 1993, nobody (else) has 10 consecutive wins in the UFC. Anderson has had 10 fights in the UFC, only 1 has ever gone to a decision."

Easy
FOr Rashad to say what he wants to do. But I got Tiago in this one by standing KO. Tiago is working his hands with a better coach than Rashad has.. BOXING ALWAYS WINS when the ground games are close. Punches Punches punches
hmm
Rashad is going to get owned by Thiago. I feel sorry for Rashad. He has no confidence. He is always on the verge of crying. His boxing is totally overrated. His “speed” and “head movement”, again. He needs to wrestle if he is going to win, and he’s not, on either account. Fighting Machida again? Sounds like he’s sleepin’ on Shogun!
The only person that will beat the Dragon is..
A giant 205 lb GSP

Rashad will beat both Thiago and Rampage by decision but doesn't have a chance at beating Machida
