Drunk Diego Sanchez hits the 2009 World MMA Awards (Video)

PrintDiego Sanchez accepts the award for "Fight of the Year" (2:40 mark) at the World MMA Awards but may have started celebrating a bit too early if his acceptance speech is any indication of his booze intake.
This appearance of course begs the question: Has Sanchez usurped the slur crown from Chuck Liddell and his comatose appearance on Good Morning Texas?

chuck was straight up incoherent..like not even english..pure mumble..he was partying all night with zero sleep then stuck on a plane to dallas for this interview..still drunk and coked up.

Split decision the wrong way
That fight was won by Guida. Sure, he got abused the first round but he clearly won rounds 2 and 3. At least one judge got it right.
Did you just drink Diego under the table?
Because that’s the only way you could actually think Huggie won that fight. First round should have been 10-8 Diego. He knocked Huggie down repeatedly and hit him with everything except a steel chair from under the ring. Round 2 — Huggie gets the takedown, then Diego threw up countless sub attempts and busted up Huggie’s head even more with elbows from the bottom, while Guida just held on. If you think Huggie won that round just because he was on top then you have no business watching MMA, although you would qualify to work as a judge. Round 3 could debatably go to Huggie. Still, that’s 29-27 Diego, no doubt about it. Class dismissed.

Or better yet, do the world a favour and off yourself. Ok, that is a bit harsh so I apologize. And you talk about brutal performances – I’d say that your fav Shogun had one hell of an embarrasing fight against Coleman….that by far was one of the saddest fights that I have seen.

Diego should be banned from drinking
He’s one of those guys that can’t handle their booze, he was just as bad on TUF when they were all taken out clubbing by Dana. What a mess, he doesn’t seem to be able to drink without making a fool out of himself.
