just watched the press conference
and noticed the JDS vs Yvel fight didnt get much coverage, and no one asked either fighter a question, but i think its gonna be fotn or kotn.
and even tho i dont care for rashad much he came across well, not his usual cocky self. all in all looking forward to sat night
Every night i would pray to God for a new bike, then i realized God does not work that way, so i stole one and asked him to forgive me
Maybe something to do with Hazelett being 6 inches taller

Rashad and Thiago both look homeless.
Brock currently is the best. I will not deny that. -- Daniel Worby
Lol…Rashad just got back from ’Nam. Leave him alone.

Looks like a decent set of fights
I’m more excited about McLovin/Daley (Cincinnati native interested in Dustins step up in comp) and Gilbert/Junior.
The main event just lacks meaning to me. Both fighters were raped by Machida, but top tier otherwise. I’d like for Thiago to repeat the Jardine fight (which I made good money off of, whoever made him the underdog in that one was nuts). If he does that, he’ll kill steam off the Rashad/Jackson fight, and I guess even with a murder of Rashad, I don’t have much interest in Thiago/Dragon 2, yet. If Rashad wins, it helps his name out a lot, and sets up the Jackson fight even more-so, but still leaves me a little disinterested.
I saw the lines on Dustin/Daley, and I’m shocked. If I were better off, I’d be throwing a stack on Daley. Hazellet is a beast on the ground, but I don’t see him more dangerous overall than Kampmann. If he takes a big shot, it’s over instantly. Daley is dangerous.
Yvel and Junior is a great fight. Of all the heavyweight prospects, Junior has been given the most dangerous fights I think. I think he’ll come out on top, but this is the first fight in the UFC against a proven superior striker. I’d say his best bet would be takedowns and gnp.

There are huge implications for the main event. Rashad wins and he sets up a huge showdown with Rampage if and when Rampage decides to return a week before his movie premier. If Rampage doesnt come back a win still pushes Rashad into a huge showdown possibilty vs a returning from injury Lil Nog or even Randy Couture should he beat Coleman. Both fights are going to help Rashad get a 2nd chance to fight for the title especially if Machida loses to Rua in May. Rashad needs to go back to his roots of wrestling and positional fighting. He arguably lost the first two rounds vs Forrest, lost the 1st round to chuck and was still so so before the giant shot. He isnt a boxer as much as people want to think he is.
For Thiago a win validates his claim for top of the 205 Ladder. I would love to see Thiago vs Bader if Bader beats Jardine. Thiago has shown us flashes of his potential just alot of people look back on the Machida fight in which Machida makes him look like a C List fighter. He just fell into the Machida Web.

ummm ok
i agree with ANS on this, i can see you logic in always be in shape, but being in shape and being fight ready are two different things, also in the ufc where you can be cut on a moments notice for 2 back to back losses then 3 months is more than enough time to come up with a new game plan.
Also im looking forward to this card, yeah its a bummer that its not as good as what it could be, but this card is f**King awesome, you got rashad and thiago, one aggressive push the fight kinda guy and counter striker. The classic grappler vs striker ( plus daley is from uk so always good seeing guys from here fight) and an all WAR in JDS vs Yvel. also got Kampman jim and cole miller and lauzon on the undercard.. well if the card is so bad just dont watch and dont bother taking part in the following conversations in the next few days

well put aintnosunshine...
i agree. and that youtaped dont kno what hes talking about. your statement is how it is… i train in mma and jits on its own. so i know a thing or two about this myself.
One time I took a fight on 11 days notice and nearly suffered exhaustion trying to cut the weight and it wasnt that much weight it was just being unprepared. People that dont compete arent at fault for not knowing, I just wish all MMA fans would experience weight cutting one time. And thats coming from someone who doesnt cut nearly as much weight as other people do. For Example Rumble Johnson.

yeah i do admit my diet sucks
i do just eat crap and dont really bother counting calories, junk food all the way basically, i just have a really high motabolism its at 128%, so putting on fat is hard, but i can put muscle on rather easily

Just dont let that catch up to you later in life. I am 21 and when i started competing I was heavy about 168 used to cut to 155. One day I woke up and decided to stop eating fast food and drinking cokes which were two vices of mine. In 2 weeks I dropped naturally 11 pounds and put back on some healthy weight and it shows in my frame which supports more natural weight and muscle.

Good point.
I cut out eating before bed and eating garbage throughout the day and within 3 months lost 2 stone naturally, all the time training in between too of course but nothing in my training changed or anything like that to increase the sudden weight loss. Just junk food and shit like that and the weight falls off naturally. I’m a much healthier person because of it. It just goes to show you how much shit people must consume (calorie wise) and not even know the consequences of it health wise.
I"m no Ned Flanders punk!!
…and Rashad should be fighting at 185 or the Rich Frankin-Wanderlei-Belfort 195 division.

Thiago won the staredown...
… now comes the real deal!
JDS vs Yvel is a good fight and I’m sad they haven’t caught any eyes.
