UFC 108 pre-fight press conference airs today (Dec. 30) LIVE on MMAmania.com at 4pm ET

UFC 108 is set to take place this Saturday (Jan. 2) from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. In preparation for this weekend's MMA extravaganza, the UFC will hold a pre-fight press conference featuring the major players from the event including Rashad Evans, Thiago Silva, Paul Daley, Dustin Hazelett and of course, UFC President Dana White.
The press conference will air LIVE right here on MMAmania.com at 4 p.m. ET.
"Evans vs. Silva" has been marred by injuries for months, forcing the likes of champions Anderson Silva and Brock Lesnar, as well as big names such as Vitor Belfort, Shane Carwin, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, Cain Velasquez, Rory Markham, Tyson Griffin, Sean Sherk, Carlos Condit and Gabriel Gonzaga, off the card.
Now UFC 108 will feature a reworked main event between former smooth-moving light heavyweight champion "Sugar" Rashad Evans and the hard-hitting Thiago Silva. British brawler Paul Daley is slated to battle Brazilian jiu-jitsu phenom Dustin Hazelett in the co-featured fight of the night.

Im a bit surprized
at how many people this week have said that Yvel will destroy JR. Personally I think it will be the exact opposite. Would love to see Gilbert get a little of his own medicine, maybe even a couple after he is out, you know how it goes right Gil, just go until the ref stops it regardless of how unconcious the other guy is. Cant stand this guy, he makes it easy to root against him.

I thought I was the only one everyone seem to forget that jds stand up is good and it can only get better from here on in training with the likes of the nog brothers anderson and lyoto. With the likes of these guy behind him he will have a big and bright future in the ufc.

People were writing off JDS against Cro Cop and have been making excuses ever since, JDS is going to prove the doubters wrong once again he’s a superb boxer and trains with some of the best fighters in the world, he’s only going to get better. He’s a lock in this one, JDS’ handspeed and power will be far Yvel to deal with and he also has superior grappling which he could use at anytime to end this one. No doubt people will be looking for more excuses when JDS gets another big win, he is the future of the HW division.

Excuses or Bandwagon
Well there are only two ways it can go from here dave boy if jds wins on Saturday people will make excuses or they will hop on the bandwagon and says he’s one of the best and most exciting fighters (which he is). Just like they did with Shogun when everyone says he was washed up and didn’t have it anymore then all of a sudden we have thousands of fan coming out the closet saying he one of the best fighter ever.

Yvel KOs his opponent
I want to see this headline. Yvel will be the one who shows doe Santos that he is not all that. If dos Santos can get past Yvel, then he just might be all that, but he will not be able to get past Yvel’s arsenal.
