Kimbo really does sound clueless regarding his drop to 215 pounds:

Check out what Alexander has to say on Saturday night's showdown after the jump.

Kimbo

Wow… he sounds grumpy.

It sounds like Houston recognizes that his chin isn’t invincible.

Yes Kimbo,

We know what you are saying, now stop saying “you know what I’m saying.”

i bet he misses weight

doesn’t sound confident about the weight at all!!

Now Kimbo knows how Roy Nelson felt when he got home and realized he’d mistakenly purchased `low fat mayo.

The valiant never taste of death but once."

Houston is impressive.

Houston seems like a class act. I’m a fan.

Yeah. he is.

Houston has always been a class act, I like him aswell. But i kinda think he’s had his shot in The UFC and that it would be better if Kimbo won the fight for me.
LOL, that Kimbo doesn’t seem to have anyone really helping him out with the weight cut, that should’ve been the main priority as it is his first time cutting weight in 20 years.

What is cutting water???

I feel REALLY bad for Kimbo….IF he has just been starving himslef the past week to get down to 215. He doesnt know what cutting is???? That means he will only put a few pounds back for fight time and will definitely be AFFECTED and weaker.

I guess no one told Kimbo about cutting. 15-20 lbs od water over a couple days is NOT so bad……but what Kimbo is doing is not good

by fightfan on Dec 3, 2009 11:53 PM EST reply actions

Who knows what kimbo is doing.

Kimbo should have been going on a chicken, brown rice, brocolli, fruit diet for 4 weeks… cut water weight hard for last 3 days…. then IV after weighins…. I don’t think Kimbo has what it takes mentally to be an MMA Fighter… I think I know why Bos Rutten n’ him split… if Kimbo’s talking about going back up to heavies after this. He sounds like a JV wrestler complaining during his 1st weight cut and doing it all wrong.

Unbelievable

I can’t believe he didn’t consult with anyone regarding cutting weight. He even said in another piece that he didn’t even ask team members any advice in relation to the weight cut…he just did it himself. Wow!!!!!! How can u be a professional UFC fighter and not even get proper advice?? He will probably look lethargic during the fight and lose bad and blame it on the weight cut…a totally great stand-up battle will be wasted.

Old enough to know better, young enough to enjoy it...

tut tut tut

Kimbo you should of listened to Dan Quinn! stevia + water = split H20 and the weight just drips of you man.

WANDY RIP

After watching these vids...

I don’t know who i want to win. As a neutral fan, both these guys seem like nice blokes and another loss would be devastating for both their careers. Kimbo looked like someone who is just hoping to win, hoping to make weight and hoping everything will fall into place for him. On the other hand Houston looked professional, sounded mentally prepared and could answer simple questions that you’d expect someone who is taking his fighting career seriously to do, unlike Kimbo. Until this vid blog, I had some hope invested in Kimbo, probably blinded by the Hype and wishful thinking but i have to say now that my eyes have been clearly opened. Unless he was told to play dumb and act like he learned nothing on the ground game except “one or two” things, then I think he needs a serious reality check if he’s going to pursue this mma career imo!!

Maybe KIMBO should of been on Rashad's Team to start off with...

I bet then he could of trained to his full potential and we would of seen another side to Kimbo’s fight game, ah well, we’ll never know now anyway, but Evans was by far the better coach and on that basis i have made that statement.

For those that don't know

Kimbo isn’t a mixed martial artist. He has even said this himself.

true.....BUT

agreeing to fight at 215 doesnt mean STARVING yourself for a week. He is literally losing muscle and mass

He should be losing 15 lbs of water..and nothing else. It was sad listening to him say “what ios cutting water” . He said is already down to 215……? that meansis could probabl make it to 215 by losing the water weightthe day b4.

I think he will be in horrible condition come fihnt time. I beleive he simply starved himslef to “lose” weight and make 215

by fightfan on Dec 4, 2009 7:35 AM EST up reply actions

But wtf was he doing for the last few months??

And even when Bas had him under his wing we all knew he could hold his own in the stand up. Why hasn’t he been trying to learn the other aspects of the sport, eg making weight, proper diet etc!! He just looked like a deer in the headlights in that interview imo and it’s been a fairly long time since his first time in a cage, and between that time and now, even with Dana involved in his promotion, he still hasn’t even got the basic intelligence to know how to make weight!! Maybe he’s to proud to ask, maybe he believes in himself a little to much or maybe he is just milking it for all it’s worth and is going to ride this gravy train all the way to the bank, seeing how long he bluff can it!! Either way, I couldn’t care to be honest, just looking forward to the TUF Finale to see what actually happens, maybe he’ll shock everyone and put on a good performance but after that interview i doubt it.
