UFC Ultimate Fighter (TUF) Finale line up and fight card finalized for Dec. 5

Tuf10_finale_medium_medium

After months of speculation and weekly teases, the UFC has finalized the line up and fight card for The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 10 Finale, set to take place at "The Pearl" from the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Saturday, December 5, 2009.

Former IFL champion Roy Nelson and undefeated Greg Jackson disciple Brendan Schaub were the last two standing out of a field of 16 hungry heavyweights on the Spike TV reality show and will face off for a chance to earn a "six-figure contract" and TUF bragging rights this Saturday night.

Of course, the ratings bonanza surrounding the much ballyhooed inclusion of former YouTube sensation and Elite XC star Kimbo Slice was enough to get him a spot on the televised card against the furious fists of Houston Alexander.

Former contestants Marcus Jones, Darrill Schoonover and Justin Wren will also be in action, joining Matt Mitrione, Justin Wren and Jon Madsen in a second attempt at UFC stardom.

Last but certainly not least will be a light heavyweight war featuring Jon "Bones" Jones as he inches his way closer to title contention against Matt "The Hammer" Hamill.

Here’s the complete TUF 10 Finale fight card:

Star-divide

Main event:

205 lbs.: Matt "The Hammer" Hamill (7-2) vs. Jon "Bones" Jones (9-0)

Main card (Televised):

265 lbs.: Roy "Big Country" Nelson (14-4) vs. Brendan Schaub (4-0)
215 lbs.: Kevin "Kimbo Slice" Ferguson (3-1) vs. Houston "The Assassin" Alexander (8-4-1)
155 lbs.: Frankie "The Answer" Edgar (10-1) vs. Matt Veach (11-0)
265 lbs.: Marcus "The Darkness" Jones (4-1) vs. Matt Mitrione (0-0)

Under card (May not be broadcast):205 lbs.: Brian Stann vs. Rodney Wallace

265 lbs.: James "The Machine" McSweeney (3-4) vs. Darrill Schoonover (10-0)
265 lbs.: Jon Madsen (1-0) vs. Justin Wren (6-1)
170 lbs.: Dennis "Superman" Hallman (41-12-2) vs. John "Doomsday" Howard(12-4)
155 lbs.: Mark Bocek (7-2) vs. Joe "The Southside Strangler" Brammer (7-0-1)
185 lbs.: Brian "All American" Stann (7-2) vs. Rodney "Shonuff The Master" Wallace (9-0)

All fights officially confirmed by UFC.com

agreed on some

jones by whatever he wants
houston by ko/tko because his fists will be just a bit quicker off the mark
marcus by rage and limb tearing
and Nelson by sub or decision

veach vs edgar, edgar should take this with ease but veach is a relative unknown (to me anyway) and although he has a good looking record he hasn’t ever really fought anybody as good as edgar

but I can't imagine that you could out grapple him in any way

even if you were an eigth dan black belt in judo and jits (i don’t know for sure if they have "dan"s in judo or jits) and an all american wrestler, he would just be too strong, even if you got him in a full on knee/armbar he would just straighten out. I know the whole strength vs technique thing but… he’s not just a strong guy, he’s THE STRONGEST guy. maybe a choke but his neck is probably like a tree trunk. you’d have to be a really quick, really accurate striker to win I think.
