UFC Quick Quote: Cole Miller would rather have fun than get knocked out

Miller-gurgel_01_medium

"I hope this fight is as fun as it has the potential to be. (Lauzon) is a very aggressive fighter and I'm an aggressive fighter too I like to preach attack, attack, attack and he's the same way. I'm always seeing him on the offense. I have the experience but he's been the more active fighter. He's coming off eight wins in a row and I think it should be a great fight. Hopefully I don't get knocked out in the first three minutes."

UFC lightweight Cole Miller talks to Sherdog.com about his upcoming scrap against Dan Lauzon at UFC Fight Night 20 scheduled for Jan. 11 in Fairfax. "Magrino" was stopped by rising star Efrain Escudero at UFC 103: "Franklin vs. Belfort" back on Sept. 19 and hopes to avoid back-to-back losses for the first time in his career. Can he "Upgrade" his standing in the 155-pound division? Or will the former WCF star turn him into vaporware?

i hope to see cole take another ass whoopin. still not ready to support him after the junie browning fight. i think he showed less class than browning after the fight. i mean everybody wants to beat junies ass, but how do you take a fool like him seriously and let him get in your head that bad?

I agree but..

I chaulk it up to some fighters just being too young and rich to handle the pressure…when they win, they occationally lose control of themselves

you’re right. i should cut him a little slack. i mean after all when you fight junie browning there is always the possibility that you may loose. i’m sure that was in coles mind. that would wake you up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat. nobody wants to be the guy who looses to that dirtbag. hopefully cole is stronger mentally and can shake that bs off in the future.

Should be a fun fight

Cole’s a good LW with some excellent submissions and a long reach but Lauzon’s no joke and Dan has had to work really hard to regain his spot in the UFC. I’ve got Lauzon by UD but this should be a very close and competetive fight.

"Anderson Silva is the best fighter on the planet...any Anderson Silva fight that is on, people should be buying that PPV, not because he’s my fighter but you know what, he to me is like the Muhammad Ali of MMA...the UFC has been around since 1993, nobody (else) has 10 consecutive wins in the UFC. Anderson has had 10 fights in the UFC, only 1 has ever gone to a decision."

Problem with the Lauzon boys is they don't like to strike

Maybe they can but they always try to go to the ground immediately and for that I have trouble rooting for them. So i would have to pick Cole cus his ground has to be better and he has the advantage on the feet as well. Maybe after this a rematch with Joe?

problem is also that they look like typical computer geeks.

Joe Lauzon has to be one of the ugliest MMA fighters, incredibly enough he gets marketed and put in main events and stuff like he was some sort of a star.

jag gör de me auktoritet.

Cole shouldnt have a KO on his mind, he has great potential. i like his ground game and his attitude in a fight. i hope stress wont take him out.
