WEC Quick Quote: Even Cowboys get the jewels
"I couldn’t figure it out either because I spar with guys his size. Leonard’s same size, 5’9”. I can hit Leonard just fine. I think it’s just the way he was coming in and like rolling. They were totally unintentional. I wasn’t going for his nuts. If I was I would’ve really ripped them in there. But I couldn’t figure out what was going so then I started doing the jump knees. That was the only thing. Greg’s like, ‘Don’t knee anymore, okay?’ Yeah, good call."
Even Donald Cerrone isn't exactly sure what was going on with the bounty of errant knees that plagued the groin of Ed Ratcliff. "Cowboy" sat down with Pro MMA Radio this past Monday to discuss his victory over Ed Ratcliff at WEC 45 last Saturday night (Dec. 19). The fight ended in victory for Cerrone, but not before several illegal knees led to Herb Dean penalizing "Cowboy" on two separate occasions. Cerrone claims to be baffled about the misplaced shots. Any thoughts, Maniacs?

i'll buy what mir was saying during the fight
that ratcliff was closing the distance same time as knees were coming up. i don’t consider cerrone a dirty fighter. but taunting a fighter you just kneed 3 times (intentional or not) is just unnecessary.
+1
The taunting was ridiculous. Maybe he doesn’t want to engage with you because his balls won’t let him.

I found it very convenient of Mir to make absolutely no mention of how the knee shots were affecting Ratcliff’. He hates when people question his win over Nog and you could tell he holding back any comments cus then he’d be a dumbass hypocrite. All kinds of fouls from Donald and they praise the hell out of him but 9mm didn’t get any props.
It happens
I dont think it was intentional. It probably hurt… alot… but I dont feel it had an real effect on the out come of the fight

I just didn’t like how cerrone was getting all hype up and ready to start going toe to toe he was showing off in the beiging of the fight not til after 3 low blows and 9mm started to slow he wanted to get all excited I do think that 3 knees to the nuts will slow you down and effect the way a person keeps his momentem in a fight…and mir is way to one sided kind oo seemed he was predeteminded that cerrone was going to win in no way did he express the knees kinda blamed it on ratcliff but it was a decent fight overall…

Let's try this...
Let’s have a rematch and this time before the fight starts let’s give ratcliff three opportunities to concuss the cowboys satchel and then let’s start the fight. I like the cowboy, but in this rematch I might take ratcliff.
