In any other scenario i would say yes. But Mir will not lose to lesanr. Lesnar lost somewhere near 50 pounds due to his illness and mir has gained 30 pounds of muscle. Mir will be in better condition for their fight and he will win.

these are all things that will effect Brock’s come back, it would be an awful shame if such a great athlete didn’t recover fully, but there is a chance that he may never be the same fighter again.
Plus even if he does recover physically, he basically had a near fatal disease and emergeny surgery and along with Franks Psychotic urge to destroy him, that’s all going to f*ck with his head. Dude has a family and a good life, he may be less willing to take risks.

And this information you have on Brock comes from where? Frank didn’t know because the UFC is keeping everything under wraps at Brock’s request. Unless you are part of Brock’s entourage, and no way you get in there ahead of me, you would have no way of knowing. And if you were in his entourage you wouldn’t pick Brock to lose. These are two evenly ranked opponents both at the top of their game I would have to give the edge to the experienced Mir but the heavy handed Carwin can end anyones night with one strike. Carwin has yet to show weakness and will be tested by one of the best all around fighters on the planet. The problem with rating Carwin is that he has a lot of unkown skill such as his ground game but you can’t really call it a weakness nor a strength and bringing him to the ground is no easy task. As far as facing Brock we will talk about that when the time is right, right now it might make more sense that the winner faces the winner of NOG and Cain and lets not forget about Santos who is fighting at 108 against Yvel I think that fight could be fight of the night potential!

did you see the gonzaga fight? he was rocked and bleeding and landed, what I consider to be a very lucky punch and that punch was the most impressive moment of his entire 11 fight career,(10 against nobodies and one against Gonzaga)
Plus this whole “unkown skill” thing that you talk about you could say that about literally anybody, I could have better TDs than GSP, you just haven’t seen ‘em, but I probably don’t! Carwin could have amazing subs defense and Jits, but he probably doesn’t, I should think that if he did we would have heard about it by now or he would have used it by now. Frank is by a million miles the best guy that Shane has ever faced, same can’t be said the other way around, Carwin is pretty much untested in all aspects of the game, he has powerful punches and good wrestling, other than that, I’d say he is slow and grossly over rated.
Frank will see that big right hand coming a mile away and will outstrike Shane with better footwork and angles, I wouldn’t be surprized if Frank hurts him badly on the feet. Then when Shane runs out of ideas, Shane will shoot for a takedown and probably end up in Franks gaurd and get submitted.
having said all that, Shane could land one of those mega punches and kill Frank, but I think Frank is quicker than him more technical on the feet than him and a real danger at fighting off of his back. Carwin has a punchers chance at best.
I don’t even think Carwin deserves to be anywhere near a title shot. He has achieved very little in the UFC. 3 wins. one of which was against a guy that is barely a hw, one against a guy whom was 4-0 in local events and also smaller than him. and one which he was losing until he pulled that mega punch out of his arse. Carwin is GROSSLY over rated, he has done nothing to warrant all of the hype. He will get exposed against Mir.

I dont know that Mir is the best guy Carwin has faced! R u convinced that Mir can beat Gonzaga? Im not so sure about that! I think Gonzaga is better than Mir at ANYTHING, except, speaking English!! lol
I havent anointed Carwin yet, like most of you have, but Im not sold yet on Mir either! I will say that if Mir can beat Carwin, I wont ever bad mouth him again…..but that doesnt mean that I will like him!

Nothing, that’s what. He’s been living off the Cro Cop fight for years now. He is not that good. He is a sub-standard gatekeeper. What other notable win does he have? Justin McCully? Carmelo Marrero? Branden Lee Hinkle? He got finished by Captain Paycheck of all people. The only good thing to say about GG is that his fights are always finished, one way or another.

THe only thing I honestly think Mir is better then Gonzaga at is the mental aspect of the fight game.
If we disect all the other aspects of mma, I just happen to think Gonzaga is better then Mir.

many great fighters have takin a shot that doesn’t mean they have a weakness just look at Fedor against Rogers did Rogers show a weakness are throw a strike at the right time? There is no denying Carwins heavy hands but you are right Mir might be able to have no problem avoiding them but with Carwin all it takes is one shot. He might not of faced the greatest fighters in the world SPk but they were fighters and some with more thaqn twenty fights under their belt. Mir will be his biggest challenge for sure and will probally lose but I think it will be a close fight. Mir would tool Gonzoga he would beat him in every phase john G.

I think it’s because the Lesnar fans have been more vocal. Mir lost, after all, so it’s pretty normal to be abit “careful” when expressing your fandom to Mir.
