HDNet to broadcast MFC 23: 'Unstoppable' from the River Cree Resort and Casino on Dec. 4

DALLAS (December 1, 2009) HDNet will feature LIVE coverage of "HDNet Fights Presents: Maximum Fighting Championship 23 - Unstoppable" from the River Cree Resort and Casino - just outside of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada - on Friday December 4 at 10 p.m. ET.

The main event of the evening is considered by many to be one of the more intriguing match-ups of the month and features UFC veterans and jiu-jitsu specialists Dean "The Boogeyman" Lister (11-6) meeting Thales Leites (14-3). Both men are looking to establish themselves as contenders for the currently vacant MFC Middleweight title.

Lister posted a 4-2 mark in the UFC, while Leites went 5-1 in the UFC before losing a decision after five grueling rounds with Anderson Silva.

Also on the LIVE broadcast, Ryan Jimmo (11-1) takes on Emanuel Newton (12-5-1), Dwayne Lewis (9-4) squares off with Marvin "The Beastman" Eastman (16-11), and Joe Christopher (9-2) meets Jesse Juarez (11-5).
