According to Tatame, Alexander "Xande" Riberio, ju jitsu world champion and one of the best grapplers on the planet has his eye on the UFC, and will eventually test himself inside the Octagon, but not until h6e g5ains some mma experience 1st.

Unless you want to fail, you dont just go from a ju jitsu mat, to the Octagon overnight. It takes time. Ju Jitsu is only one of many aspects of mma. Being world champion in 1 phase of the fight is just not enough these days in the premier mma organizations, especially the UFC. Xande knows that and wants to continune gaining experience in Sengoku (where he is coming off of 2 TKO wins), before making the leap to the UFC. 

According to Xande, “I have a contract with Sengoku and I want to stay there to have more experience. As much experience, better. If they do a GP, I’ll have an opportunity to fight for a belt”, explains the fighter. “If it’s the natural order of things [go to the UFC], but I want to obey my contract on Sengoku, maybe fight a GP, and then to fight in America, where’s my base, where I have my students”.

Xande and Saulo are Diego Sanch6ez's top trainers, so Xande has a very good relationship with Dana and the Fertita's which is why I am very happy that he isnt rushing right into a UFC Octagon. There is nothing worse than promising talent being destroyed by rushing his career. However I am also happy that the UFC is a dream of his and that he will eventually transition to the Octagon

Xande says: With Diego’s training we’re always on the event and we had this conversation, it’s normal. Any fighter has the aim to fight UFC”.

Xande is up there in the grappling world with the likes of: Jacre, Maia, and Werdum. In an organization filled with wrestlers like the UFC, a jits wizard like him is a very valuable commodity.
