Fabricio Werdum: I imagine my next Strikeforce fight will be against Andrei Arlovski
Props: Tatame.com
Quoteworthy:
"I must fight in February or March, and I imagine that it could be against (Andrei) Arlovski. I lost to him by 2-1, it was an ugly fight, nobody liked, but I never choose opponents, I can fight anyone, but then I wanna fight Fedor."
--Strikeforce heavyweight contender Fabricio Werdum talks about a possible rematch with Andrei Arlovski in his next fight for the San Jose-based promotion in Spring 2010. "Vai Cavalo" went three rounds with "The Pitbull" back at UFC 70 in a widely-panned bout that Arlovski won via ugly slap-attack. Werdum is still hoping to face Fedor Emelianenko in the near future, but it sounds like Strikeforce might have other plans for "The Last Emperor." Perhaps a rude welcome for the returning Alistair Overeem?

not excited about his opponent
but would be glad to see AA back finally
'How's taste my pee pee pee?'
Werdum is the best choice for AA
Fedor and Rogers have already destroyed him, Bigfoot has the power to do the same, Werdum isn’t likely to overwhelm his questionable chin.
Agreed!
I completely agree, though I think AA would pick apart Bigfoot, I would call Arlovski’s chin questionable. I get sick of people saying stuff about a glass jaw when hes been knocked out recently by Fedor and Hippo. I still like Arlovski, and it will be cool to see how he fights since joining his new camp!

King Hippo dat is...Hehehe!
Werdum would be the “perfect” match up for AA. Nice to hear that Strikeforce has AA’s intro fight tailor-made for him. I mean, he will have the superior advantage in striking ‘coz it’s not like Werdum has heavy hands does he?

This is exactly how it should be
Werdum fighting AA, and Fedor welcoming Alistair back. Great match making SF!

Oh was that a SF event too?
Because I wasn’t talking about the UFC. Werdum shouldn’t be fighting Fedor, and if that is achieved by rematches, so be it.

One thing that sucks for this fight is that Werdum get lucky by getting AA when he’s coming back from a loss. Last fight against Werdum, AA was very tentative and I hope that won’t do the same mistake again. Can’t wait to see if AA will bitch slap Werdum this time.
"Next fighter who retreats im deducting a point"
I Hope AA’s time at Jacksons fine tuned his game. We didnt get to see much of him in his last performance.
Bring back the long hair and fangs I want a vintage Pitbull KO
dude.....i am
Weldum is average at best
What i don’t get is UFC receives alot of hate for certain match ups, but as soon as SF put together a boring UFC rematch and you all are nut hugging.
I love UFC and SF and happy both exist but i had to comment on this. UFC been around for many years doing a great/1st class job we can’t yet say there are two elite promotions in the US. Fedor doesn’t make SF elite yet. SF is like the Championship compared to UFC i.e Premier league. Not saying its can’t or won’t be just saying we have to give credit where its due.
Is it just hating UFC or is it deeper then this, lets all remember why sites like this exist. If it wasn’t for the UFC you lot also wouldn’t have somethign to hate on.

I'm only happy that Werdum isn't getting a shot at Fedor with his cheesy win over Big Foot.
He doesn’t deserve it, I would have been happy with just about any other opponent.

I'm excited
I’m very excited to see Andrei Arlovski back in the fighting game. It has been a while, and I’m sure he’s ready to prove to the world that he is still one of the best fighters in the world. I hope Arlovski can win by a dominating performance.
To respond to the last part of the post...
Honestly. Just strip Alistar of the belt. He doesn’t deserve to fight Fedor. He shouldn’t have kept the belt for this long. If he wants to fight Fedor he will have to earn it. Fedor is the true champ and everyone knows it. Everyone wants to fight him not Alistar.
