that has some solid fights on the card.
gouveia vs. belcher should be on the main card.
always glad to see hendricks fight.

BUT the best part is – bj penn will gas and loose a unanimous decision to sanchez

The Gouveia fight is the 2nd best one on the card. Any word on prelims on Spike?

by BNF on Nov 29, 2009 2:14 PM EST via mobile up reply actions

No kidding

Willy G-Belcher is one the undercard, while anyone who pays for this event is going to be subjected to both Fitch AND Huggie Bear.

I'm kind of a big deal.

There not showing prelims on spike for this card due to the video game awards on spike at 8 ET.

I was always a BJ hater

But I’m also not clouded by my hate.
Realistically:

He went 4 rounds with Ken-Flo and looked fresh.

He went 4 rounds with GSP, he didn’t looked gassed, he look like he got stomped on, but not gassed.

BJ hasn’t had gassing issues in awhile.
In recent memory at LW ‘gassing’ hasn’t been an issue for him.

I hate Diego Sanchez more than BJ so I’m rooting for BJ and I think he will take this.

Shogun lost a close decision! Everyone get crazy!

haha

I hate BJ more than I hate Sanchez, so I want Sanchez to win.

I can't stand BJ or Sanchez.

I hope it goes 5 rounds and that they both beat the sh!t out of each other.

Agree with all you said

except I ’m a BJ fan, but Sanchez is a guy I root for as well…..its crazy how long BJ has been around with at least a top 5 lb for lb listing by many experts…and only 14 wins….

It is crazy...

But much like Brock he walked right into the center of the lions den. BJ has consistently fought the best of the best and has never had an issue with going up in weight. Love him or hate him, he is one of the most game opponents and is a legit threat to anyone in any weight class, accepts just about any challenge. You can say that about very few fighters and I think that is what solidfies his P4P status in such a short career. I know he runs his mouth a bit, but as far a just being a pure fighter, he is one of the few that was able to get by on just natural talent, till recently. Now that he has implemented a health regimine he has looked like a beast and has not gassed since his last fight against Hughes.

Sanchez is such a dick

Bj is going to give Diego a masterclass. They are both relatively well rounded but Diego will get schooled on the ground. the only advantage Diego possibly has is better kicks than BJ. But Bj is an excellent boxer, watch for the counter punches and maybe even some takedowns.

Diego will be foaming at the mouth during his walk in, and he’ll also be foaming at the mouth when he is in the ambulance after the fight.

WAR BJ!!

ps. I don’t really want anybody to get that badly hurt. I just think BJ is a different class from Sanchez. and I think Sanchez is full of shit!

In the name of the Fedor, the Anderson and the GSP, Amen.

BJ

didn’t look like that for the Florian fight.

by JRE on Nov 29, 2009 1:13 PM EST reply actions

I cant wait for this fight!!!!!!!

Diego is going to give BJ all he can handle, this will be a way better fight than when Kenflo did nothing. BJ better be in shape, Diego will be and he can keep up a fairly intense pace for a long time, he just doesnt seem to get tired and I think that might be the differance in this one. That said, BJ is a beast and to beat him you really have to bring your A game and not make any mistakes. This will be a tough fight for BJ.

ahhhh

This will be a painful fight for Diego the yes man.

Who’s gonna be in Memphis with me?

This is going to be an incredible weekend. Weigh-ins, hang with some fighters, trip down to Tunica, fights Saturday, and kick it on Beale St afterwards. Nice!

James

I can’t wait to see this event. It’s the first good event in a while. The manchester one was a joke, Griffin VS Ortiz was OK, but we need some title cards so watching Bj Penn dispute his belt should be good!

The other fights are good also, I mean having Mir, florian, and the others on this card is amazing, but I’m looking forward to seeing DaMarques Johnson from TUF!

Oh and to those who are looking to watch it online, SportPPV.com will have it live for free. I watch every event on there and I asked the administrator earlier in email and he told me they’re going to have this one in HD for free.

So www.sportppv.com if you want to watch it for free. If you’re going to pay, www.fightsppv.com has it reduced 20% off, I’m going to watch it on sportppv.com cus I don’t have money to waste, but I might split membership to watch it officially on fightsppv if my friend will help pay.
