But not good enough to be running his mouth the way he has since the First Brock fight. He beat a super green Brock, a shell of Nog, and well thats about it since the accident. But Mr. Mir acts as if he’s the best thing to ever happen to the sport. The ego on this guy streches into next week. He might beat Kongo because he has no ground game, but trust me Mir won’t be making waves in the division ever again.

He’s not terrible but isn’t that great either, his biggest wins are suspect and had more to do with the inexperience of Brock and the horrible condition of Big Nog than the skill of Mir. Rogers would beat him in my opinion, he has the better striking and if Fedor can’t submit you or keep you on your back then no HW can.

many just like to say their favorite is the one who’s winning, kinda like when you are 4 years old. to even take Mir’s first win over Brock into any argument is not a good sign of smartness.
Brock may be the title holder, but there are def more talented HW’s out there. If the UFC was somehow close to being a sport Brock would never have fought for the title as fast as he did, especially considering he had a loss in his first UFC fight. and to justify Brock fighting for the title they had to give Mir an interim title fight which he should have never had either!

Me not liking fighters has nothing to do with how good or bad they are, but the UFC tries to hype Mir as some sort of a star he is not, everybody doesn’t get that. He’s average with some good names on his record, nothing less nothing more.

Talent in the HW's
The 2 most talented overall HW’s today are without a doubt Fedor and Big Nog. Does Talent=The Best? You may not like Brock(I don’t) but he is an amazing talent. His wins do come from brawn, but he was thrown straight into the Lions Den. He pummeled Mir and got caught in a sub and since he has beat Mir, Hearring and Couture. All super experienced and 2 of the 3 are probably more talented then he was at the time. Your right the UFC is not a sport, it is an organization- MMA is the sport. MLB is not the sport, baseball is. Brock is a super talented wrestler(possible the best if not it is real close with him and Cain), has developed a decent striking game, and has learned to defend the subs. Is he the chess style fighter that a Nog, Fedor, or Couture are? No, not yet but in time and with each fight he looks more and more amazing. Brocks talent is catching up with his brawn and strength. It won’t be long before he is near unstopable-once his skill level catches up to his stength level. You may not like the timing of Brock getting the belt but who deserved it more than him at the time?
Mir may have been the most succesful HW when Brock fought Mir for the Belt-with wins over Nog(for the Interim), Hardonk, and Brock.
Nog-Beat Herring and Sylvia(Interim belt) then lost to Mir.
Couture-Losses every other Match he beat Sylvia for belt then defended against Gonzaga then lost the Belt to Brock.
Werdum lost his fight to the new comer in Dos Santos.
Brock lost to Mir, then beat Herring then rematched Mir for the title.
So really there was nobody in the UFC HW that was able to put together more then 2 wins against the top part of the division. Dos Santos and Cain are just getting to the big part of the division. There are certain guys were feeding them to the wolves is ok, cuz even if they loose they will be ok(Brock). Then there are fighters you want to make sure develop because a loss could hurt them dos Santos and Cain(young fighter with big potential) so no need to toss the into a lossing situation right away. While Brock may not have been deserving of a title fight, there was not many that were.

Kongo is a moron with no ground game, decent but far from quality striking and a stupid pose. Mir is overrated and arrogant, he beat Brock in his second fight when he got sloppy, then was smashed in the rematch, and beat Big Nog when he was in no condition to fight and would get smashed in a rematch against a 100% Nog. Hopefully it’ll end in a double KO, or the winner gets smashed by JDS in their next fight.

That sounds like a good fight to me.
I read all the posts and there seems to be a split. I think it would be a good fight, and could go either way. If Brett Rogers hit Mir, he would crumble like the piece of crap he is. And if it went to the ground, Brett might be able to get up quickly. If he didn’t get up really fast Murrr would tap him quicker than he did Brock the first go around. So I would have to take Rogers by KO if they ever fought. Maybe that’s bias, but screw it. Murr sucks and I hate him so be it.

what is fuuny about the picture is the guy you have next to fedor is i think an actor who played the leader of
spectre on the james bond series. mostly russians belonged to that organization too. the russians were the villian’s. at least i think that is the guy. im not sure? close resemblance if not.

There is no way of proving anything unless they fight eachother and the HW division has had this weight from the start. Lets just enjoy the fights Rogers has talent and dtrength and is one of the best new HW in the world. All this who would win between Brock and Fedor is getting brutal because talk = nothing so lets just enjoy the fights that we are going to see and the #1 HW is disputed…so what?

if Mir tries to stand with Kongo I think it’ll be a brutal KO. If it goes to the ground Mir will take it.
I am a “Mir Hater” and hope he loses in devastating fashion, but I acknowledge that he is skillful and dangerous.

Mir may talk trash but he is a bright man, a asshole yeah maybe but he can make a decent living without fighting. When he says he has stand up that can beat Kongos I don’t know if he is setting up Kongo or if he believes it? Since off the bottle Mir may be an ass but his fighting looks to be were some expected it long ago and thats amongst the best.

They are obviously delusional, disrespectful idiots. If Rogers is top 10, then MMA heavyweights suck as a whole. Rogers is too cocky to have never done anything, but outweigh all of opponents (cans) by 30 pounds.
and “Rematch”..lol, not likely. He was lucky to get ONE shot at the greatest heavyweight in the world.
