Serra is probably 1 of the most underated fighters out there….i think the hughes fight was way closer than it ended up being…..lets see i love BJ Penn, but lets be real…he shouldve lost to matt serra back in the elimination tourney…but the favored was bein favored…(the Uno fight too{the second one @ Onslaught} Shamrock kept sayin, u gotta beat the Champ…and it was for the championship…Penn was never the champ yet..) so who knows where that couldve gone in terms of career n hype wise..I think Serra couldve taken Uno for the championship rather than gas like penn did…and who knows what the future couldve held…but then he got another opportunity taking Full advantage and pullin off the biggest upset in …mma history,, 10 to 1 odds…then his next fight back was St. Pierre (a rematch) n obviously Serra has no say on it…but willing…n got outclassed, but give credit…Pierre lost, fought Koscheck, then Hughes then Serra again…and Serra won Pierre…….n did a show……then Pierre again…doesnt add up….n i know this is for any n every sport these days…(mind u Rogan doesnt help with his biases)…but to comeback into a bigger weightclass, win the UF of former ufc contenders n then beat the champ…his glory was shortly sweet n no praise…i hated hearing rogan say things like, “yea Serra is in desperate need of a win” during like the hughes fight… n i sit there contemplating…like ..no, why? his last fight was against someone he dominated better and faster the first time they met…so on my count their even…so id give him 3 tries at least..so all in all im glad they gave him another fight…Im old skool, n i like Trigg, but he was tryin to say something that could not be said. His “fight back” showed me or anyone else nothing…except dont stand with kos. He shouldve known better than that…Now he does n this fight i think will go the distance…but i see Serra takin it…Sorry Trigg..but if u win Good Job!
Hmmm…so thats that..had to get that off my chest somewhere…
Im goin for Coleman, even tho i love Couture…Coleman has been showing More heart than anyone else in a long time…i think he wouldve taken the Shogun fight by split decision….n he proved hes still as tough as nails against a game Bonnar. Dont think hes at all as wise n crafty as Couture…but sometimes heart gets past that as well. but Coleman can finish Couture; Couture cannot finish Coleman. But Couture has been on the defensive "i gotta win somehow "side lately….loser gets Tito(…who was also robbed, like him or not..he won those 1st 2 rounds…if ur extremely generous n im not that generous, u couldve given forrest a 10-8 in the 3rd, but that couldve been safe to say on their first match first rd 10-8 Tito… Draw at best for Forrest…but no, of course not..gotta keep ur poster boy post-able), i did wanna see coleman n tito tho…n of course a rematch with couture would be fun to watch as well once the cardio n conditioning is up to par which will be by his next fight (much like Shogun)..
n i was goin for Vitor upset over anderson, but i hear silva may not be ready….so Marquart v Vitor looks to be the replacement…n that 1 i got Vitor via KO…
I cant even gauge on Big Nog, cuz his last fight was the one that finally impressed me in the ufc.. If the Nog that showed up in the Couture fight shows up….Im gonna give it to Big Nog, very closely….but its gotta be the exact or better…cuz Cain is the future Man!

Not Bad

Hmm, not bad of a card. Even the undercard has a few good ones.

With Maia/Miller being moved to main card

Think we’ll see Rolles vs Mostapha or B Stann vs P Davis?

Serra has lost 6 times, but lets recap..

he’s lost to Hughes (hughes fought like a bitch to win, much like Rashad did with Thiago), St.pierre (Serra also has a win over him: the only one whose been able to destroy him), Shonie Carter (which he woulda won, n got caught, but avenged it), Din Thomas (split decision, another close 1), and Decisioned Karo Parisyan (back when Karo was gonna be the next big thing…that never happened.)

Nover/Emerson

these ass-bags have the Nover – Emerson fight scheduled to go off @ 185…WTF?! the only way those 2 fight @ 185 is if the UFC has started a sumo basho.
