WEC 44 gate tops $130,000 with 1,845 attendance on Nov. 18
WEC 44: "Brown vs. Aldo" from "The Pearl" at the Palms in Las Vegas, Nevada, attracted 1,845 total attendees for a live gate of $131,000, according to official figures from the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) released today.
However, 713 of those in attendance received complimentary tickets, while the remaining crowd (1,132) purchased seats to the event. The remaining 297 tickets went unsold.
WEC 44 featured a main card headlined by a featherweight title fight between Mike Brown and Jose Aldo with the promotion's 145-pound title on the line. Aldo put on a striking clinic to capture the crown in impressive fashion with a second round technical knockout finish.
WEC 44 pulled more than 3,000 less than the amount of attendees who watched WEC 43 from the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas, on Oct. 10. Make no mistake that the promotion will look for a better turnout next month when it returns to "The Pearl" with WEC 45: "Cerrone vs. Ratcliff" on Dec. 19.

man that ALDO is a tough k.id
props to him for being such a force at a young age, this kid is a something to watch out for in the future.
That is crazy.
I wish I lived in Vegas. I would be at every WEC event. I can’t believe that Forrest/Ortiz did millions and they couldn’t sell out this card. That makes me a little sad.
