TUF 10's Darrill Schoonover recalled to active duty
Props: CurtisandKyle.com (via MMA FanHouse)
Quoteworthy:
"At first I was kind of pissed ... I was like, ‘I’ve already served my country for four years and been out for almost two years.’ I’m getting my fighting started and getting the ball rolling on that. I was kind of mad, but the very next day, I just accepted it. I’ll do what I gotta do, and then I’ll come back and work on my fighting."
Bittersweet. It is defined as defined (Dictionary.com) as "producing or expressing a mixture of pain and pleasure." That is the easiest way to describe Darrill Schoonover’s -- also affectionately referred to as "Titties" by opposing coach Quinton "Rampage" Jackson on the show -- feelings after he was recently recalled into the Army. He talked to Shambala Sports Radio and talked about the move. It is understood that he will be required to complete a stint of 400 days. Not all of which will be deployed, but he is anticipating that he is heading to Afghanistan for some if not most of that time. Luckily, Schoonover will be able to fight at the TUF 10 Finale if he makes it to the championship round of the 16-man tournament. He will head to the Army shortly after.

Tough titties.

True, titties deserve a bit of respect. He got some balls, I give him that. That won’t stop me from laughing of his titties though.

I kind of hope Titties gets that Big Chicken Dinner for shoving a live grenade up Rampage’s ass and leaving him to figure out how to remove it without pulling the pin.
I'm kind of a big deal.

Nothing but respect!
Regardless of how you feel about why or where we are at war, you can respect a guy (all of them) that has to put his life on hold to serve his country….again.
I hope we see him back in the Octagon.

I'll be cheering for you now Schoonover now!
It’s one thing to strap on the gloves and go to war in the ring it’s another to put your life on the line for the freedom of others including Rampage and his family. Win or lose Schoonover is a hero of mine I wish him and his family the best and hope he returns home safe.

Wow
I cant believe this guy is a fighter. He looks like a fat, big breasted, nerd. he needs to either loose weight, or gain weight (look like roy nelson), or get some testosterone because he walks around the show looking like a gumpy reject from highschool.

*lose*
Not loose. Unless he’s gonna loosen his weight?
Kinda sucks for darril. He’s a decent fighter. & he took a lot of unwarranted crap on this season due to him being a team mate opposite a 5 year old coach.
Hope all is well
Best of luck

I wonder
what he does in the Army. Afghanistan is probably on my near future as well. Once this college ROTC and BOLC II training gets done, its Army life for the next 10 yrs! Hooah

He should if possible...
doe the Army Combatives Competition….They had mma comps for 2 years now I think. They are awesome if you ever get to see them. Military pride and mma in fight makes for some interesting fights. HDNET had them on 2 weeks ago.

I’ve been trying to get my ROTC unit to get involved with that, but they say they dont have enough “qualified instructors”. Whenever I get my commission, I will DEFINITELY get involved. It will be nice for these NCOs and enlisted folk to get the opportunity to beat up an LT.
