Report: Matt Serra vs Frank Trigg set for UFC 109 on Feb. 6

According to FightNetwork.com:
UFC welterweight Matt Serra spoke to The Fight Network on Friday morning and confirmed that he has signed on to fight Frank Trigg at the UFC 109 card on February 6th 2010 in Las Vegas, Nevada.... Serra also stated he would very happy to fight in the future at a catch weight of 160 or 165 pounds if the UFC were interested in promoting more catch weight bouts.

Right Matt, the UFC is going to invent a new weight class to circumvent your lack of willpower in cutting weight to where you belong. Just retire.

That make twice that you use that word incorrectly, so here the definition of Oxymoron.

I don’t know, it could be interesting to see and Matt’s too old these days to make the cut. If BJ is serious about fighting at WW again a CW with Serra (if he beats Trigg) would be a good fight.

I only get to go to two ufcs per year and this is one of them. God, this is disgusting. I’ve seen every ufc and have never seen a lineup this ugly
Gracie/Hughes isn’t happening at this one.
And they haven’t booked a main event yet. Maybe an interim HW title fight is in the works. Belfort is supposed to be fighting on this one as well.

Interesting fight
Sure they are no longer title contenders but good fight. I think Trigg will pull this 1 off by decision.
This is probably Trigg's last fight, win or lose. They're giving him a chance to go out on a winning note. Doubt he will though.

This reminds me of old school Star Trek...
Trigg vs. Serra = Good Spock vs. Evil Spock… just that one of them is missing a goatee.
Serra's inactivity
Why does Serra only fight once a year? Its getting out of hand, he fights even less than fedor and I thought that wasn’t possible. That being said Serra should tool Trigg rather easily, sub second round.
Serra's rise to the top
Serra has done what people only dream of, i dont have to spell it out. The only reason people dont like him is cuz they are more than likely sucking gsp’s balls.
