UFC 106 weigh in results LIVE from Las Vegas for 'Ortiz vs Griffin 2'
The official weigh-in event for UFC 106: "Ortiz vs. Griffin 2" just wrapped from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
All 20 fighters set to compete on the card, including scale-challenged Anthony Johnson, hit their marks without incident. No real fireworks to speak of; however, things got a little tense between main event participants Tito Ortiz and Forrest Griffin during their staredown.
It also got a bit heated when Johnson, who will face the toughest test of his career tomorrow night, went eye-to-eye with perennial welterweight powerhouse, Josh Koscheck. Phil Baroni -- who is making his return to the Octagon for the first time in several years -- did his best to get anything out of Amir Sadollah, but was unsuccessful.
Here are the complete UFC 106 weigh in results:
Main event:
205 lbs.: Tito Ortiz (204) vs. Forrest Griffin (205)
Main card (Televised):

It’s going to be a fun night of fights so don’t miss it. And remember to check us out for all the pre, during and post-fight UFC 106 coverage you can handle.

C'mon Forest!
Would love to see Forest pull off a win here. He needs a good showing to get his confidence back. Tito’s gonna have a bigger head after this one (if that’s possible). Either he’ll win and his ego will balloon to the next level(again, if that’s possible), or Forest will lump him up good.

Not a Main Event
And if Tito loses, no biggie, he just came off back surgery. Ring Rust. Uh huh. Tito hasn’t been relevant in years.

I like the sounds of that.
But I got Tito winning as well. Any other fights on Saturday that you wouldn’t mind betting on. Here’s some of my picks, maybe you got a different winner in one of them.
Luiz Cane
Tito
Kos
Amir
Ben Saunders
Those 5, I would take a bet against.

I think I understand what to do. If it doesn’t work I will have to get you to explain it on Sunday or Monday. But ya, it is a deal. I got Luiz Cane to win. We can do the pics and sig thing. The sig set up is easy right? I’m not a computer guy really.

I like this idea
but I have no feeling on any of these fights….but for next time
Kongo kills Mir
Penn over Sanchez if anybody is interested

Awesome idea
Shame that I don’t have any strong feelins either way. I’ll do any picture bet for Jacare, Kenny, Rashad, JDS and Daley winning their next fights, most of the other big fights are too close to call or I don’t care who wins as I’m not a fan of either fighter. I’ll also be open to any picture bets for Andy and Machida winning and Baroni and Kimbo losing any fight, no matter the opponent.

Hating the new format
I don’t like this new format at all. I don’t come to the site as much as I used to. Anyway Tito (washed up) vs. Forest (overrated) is not main event worthy but I got Tito for a W.

Warning fellow posters: No point in betting with Adam G.
He’s a known welcher. Lost his GSP/Penn 2 bet and refused to honor it.

i honored my bet with gord, sorry everyone wants to bet against me in penn fights and think they all have a bet with me just cause gord couldnt come up with a name far a week or so, just cause he needed help doesnt mean i had 40 bets with everyone that helped him tard. SO yea, i honored my bet with another person that has been on here near 4 years like myself, not a 6 month newbee like yourself kid.

Guess we can add liar to your growing list of attributes.
You didn’t honor your bet and you know it. You have zero honor (probably why they booted you from the army), and are as lacking in substance as your posts. Watching you cry like a bitch after GSP bounced BJ’s coconut head off the mat was one of the funniest things ever on this site.Just a whiny llittle punk. No wonder BJ’s your favorite.

AND . . .
You probably dont even know who Gord is or anything about the gsp/penn rivalry around here for years, that bet was made so long before the fight was ever even scheduled dude, you werent even around. All you’re refering to is some guy that kept asking me to change my name like we had bet, you saw that and thats your research huh tard, its ok, we all jump to conclusions about things we have no business jumping to conclusions to. In fact i offered that guy a five fight penn bet to change my name permanently for him and that bet is current and running, also, something you have no idea about huh, wow, weird. . . tard.

Keep backtracking, welcher.
It’s almost friday night. Time for you to stop typing BJ! BJ! BJ! here, and start yelling it at passing motorists. Gotta make a buck somehow when you’re an illiterate high school dropout, eh polesmoker?

Ode to Adam
There’s this kid who’s a welcher
and a part-time felcher
It’s sad that his posts they’re so lame
His skills are pathetic
He just doesn’t get it
A child could defeat him at this game
He insists he’s not gay
Then makes posts every day
That all profess love for a dude
When BJ ignored him
He got a job whoring
And now he is just getting schooled
So keep it up punk
And just keep posting junk
‘cause it’s easy to see you’re afraid
your fiancee’s a hag
Better buy her a bag
Maybe once WalMart gives you a raise

No, that guy demanded you change your name likie you agreed to, and YOU suggested instead that you make a NEW ridiculous bet based on Penn winning five straight fights. We all know Penn probably won’t even fight 5 more times, and if he does that bet will go on for three years, and by then nobody will give a crap. Pathetic.

Adam you said you went to Iraq
A week after the BJ/GSP fight you said you were shipping out to Iraq. Than you disappeared for 4 months. When you finally posted again (right before the BJ/Diego fight) you said you went. What happened?
JJ…LOL.

I like the challenge, but I can’t pick this fight man. Who knows were Tito’s game is at right now. And Forrest just got pwned his last time out, not sure what to make of things.

Preliminary bouts
Anyone know if the preliminary bouts are going to be live on Spike? btw I hate this new format and I think its what killed fiveounces. There are noticably less posts made due to the complications of having to sign in ect. This is still the best site for MMA news but no longer is it as fun to post in :(.

lmao @ Mac danzig's prediction on this fight
Mac Danzig: Seven years ago, I was coming off a decision loss in the WEC that was held in Connecticut. As if a five-hour plane ride back home after a disappointing loss wasn’t miserable enough, Tito Ortiz was sitting directly in front of me. He had been wearing his UFC belt everywhere the entire weekend of the fight and was still wearing it in the airport and now on the plane ride home, too. He had to turn it backwards to comfortably sit on the plane. He proceeded to tilt his seat back as far as it could possibly go. This left nothing in my forward vision except for a giant yellow head, not to mention the fact that his seat was basically in my lap, which was more than mildly uncomfortable. Over the course of the next five hours, I tried my best to sleep, but every time I opened my eyes, there was a huge sphere of yellow hairs with dark roots coming in no less than 12 inches from my face. I was bordered on the right by a window and on the left by Colin Oyama. Luckily for me, I was able to suppress this memory for quite some time, but after seeing that giant yellow head bounce around the ring a few times afterward, I’d get flashbacks. Rumor had it that just a few weeks earlier, Lee Murray soccer-kicked a giant yellow beach ball in a British pub. Forrest by TKO in round three.
You kept making all the stops?
Well people kept ringing the bell !!!!!!

Funny actually picturing Danzig tell that story in his monotone.

Forrest by TKO in round three
Is that what you pick? Or Danzig picks him?

Anthony Johnson
Should be an exciting and unpredictable night of fights. Props to the fighters and people over at Zuffa for turning this train wreck of an event into something.
