Kind of funny

When your epic highlight reel is just the same shots over and over again because you’ve only had 5 fights.

by frosnt1 on Nov 19, 2009 10:34 PM EST reply actions

yes

Well on that fact alone it IS pretty impressive that he has a highlight reel, is a HW champ, and has stirred up this much attention after only 5 fights!!

Hopefully this big guy comes back stronger than ever!

Fedor doesn't care one way or the other

But there’s a trash talking baldy named Barney who wishes he weren’t coming back.

by jay. on Nov 20, 2009 9:40 AM EST up reply actions

Yeah Fedor doesnt care because they are never going to fight

by Jimbobb on Nov 20, 2009 9:54 AM EST up reply actions

Not while there are still places to hide

As long as Fedor has a place to hide from Brock we will never see them fight. SF might go belly up in a year or two, maybe than his mafia goons will allow him to test himself again.

STRIKEFORCE isnt going anywhere

Brock isn’t scared of FEDOR.

FEDOR isn’t scared of Brock.

Their both extremely talented & it just so happens you like one or the other. I like FEDOR n h8 Brock, but I understand many feel the other way.

Tho those people are idiots ;)

I'm kind of a big deal.

by P-Dub on Nov 20, 2009 10:48 AM EST up reply actions

I know you were one of the people saying the same things about Affliction

SF is a PPV company. Most if not all fans are strapped for cash in this economy. Hardly anyone is going to be paying for the SF PPV’s. I said it long before Affliction went out of business and I’ll say it again. North America is not populated enough to carry another successful MMA organization. They will be out of business within 3 years. Probably closer to 2 years.

by jay. on Nov 20, 2009 10:55 AM EST up reply actions

How awesome would that be?

I mean, who wouldn’t want SF to fold? Then we wouldn’t get as many free UFC events, OR free fights on primetime TV. You would still be making stupid claims about Fedor ducking competition, and everyone would be much better off. Gosh, SF folding sounds like the best case scenario for MMA fans for sure.

If Brock can get back to training and being 100 percent again, noone will beat him, FEDOR included.

weight 305!? he better get back in the gym quick or his muscle will turn to post medapause grandma tits fast!

by SouthCaliStunNa on Nov 19, 2009 11:38 PM EST up reply actions

ok so by being huge makes him unstopable? false…and to bring fedor into this is just stupid. and to not say anything about carwin is just plain stupid. idk watching his so called highlights it amazes me lol. i mean really he can barely fight standing up. he could barley hold randy down who is a good 60 lighter then him mir laid on the ground and showed no signs of strugle to move. i bet carwin beats him i bet rogers would even beat him.

by elric bro on Nov 20, 2009 12:27 AM EST reply actions

Some peoples ignorant hate for Lesnar amazes me sometimes... WOW

No, being extremely athletic and naturally talented in combat sports makes him damn near unstoppable.

Stand up? Knocking Randy down with a glancing blow, damn near smashing herring out of the ring with a power shot.. not impressive?

Mir COULDN’T move dude, the self proclaimed JJ master and ‘true martial artists’ could not move and got his face slammed into hamburger in that second match…

Can you say HATER?

by jesuslovesyoumma on Nov 20, 2009 12:38 AM EST reply actions

by Phenomenal Angel on Nov 20, 2009 3:22 AM EST up reply actions

hate FEDOR tho riiight?

Why is it wrong for these guys to h8 Brock and his 4-1 record but u guys are justified in bringing FEDOR into this convo for no reason other than to say his 31-1 record isn’t impressive.

I guess this is Brock fan’s fault. Another thread that was all about Brock but now you’ve changed it into an argument that has no ending.

Congrats

by daniel worby on Nov 20, 2009 8:39 AM EST via mobile up reply actions

I can say hater.

Because I hate Brock.

HATERS UNITE!!! OUR PLAN HAS WORKED!!!

haha. just kidding. ;-)

by Synyster_08 on Nov 20, 2009 8:57 AM EST up reply actions

umm im pretty sure mir could have moved because if you saw it no signs of struggle i mean he did raise his hand and show a thumbs up really?

and did you not see the randy fight. im pretty sure randy fight it wasnt a glancing blow i would say a glancing blow was something like the forrest silva fight by the walking backwards jablol.

and have you even seen brocks stand up its ugly thats why he just tries to lay on people comeon if he could stand up he would have with mir but he knew mir was better at that and wouldnt move on the ground.

by elric bro on Nov 20, 2009 10:35 AM EST up reply actions

Brock's a bad man

Whatever dude, say what you want but NO ONE has accomplished what he has and beat the level of fighters he has with as little fighting experience as he had. Pretty freakin impressive to me. Who cares if you don’t like him.

LOL You guys see him wrestling before he used steriods hella small, anyways wtf is the point of this vid?

If you dont like drugs then dont do them.....give them to me!

by Khaos_Warrior on Nov 20, 2009 2:30 AM EST reply actions

Really?

Because he looked pretty big to me. The man is in his 30s and that was film from college.

Ttheres no way an athlete who consistently weight trains could gain muscle mass over a period of 10 years, must be roids rolls eyes … /sarcasm

by jesuslovesyoumma on Nov 20, 2009 7:46 AM EST up reply actions

He might not be on them now

But if you look at his body from the WWE and now it’s night and day. I really believe he’s taken steriods at some point and don’t give me that “he never failed a drug test” crap because it’s not hard to cycle off in time for a set test date.

by frosnt1 on Nov 20, 2009 8:28 AM EST up reply actions

Bang On fronst1

Proof is in the pudding, he’s WAY smaller now than when he first showed up at the UFC. No outside influence there, right Brock huggers??

by UFC Champ on Nov 20, 2009 9:53 AM EST up reply actions

didn't dispute that fact

Who cares if he juiced for the WWE. It isn’t real, in case you were still wondering. It isn’t a sport and he wasn’t doing the steroids to gain an athletic advantage. Doing Steroids and pretending to fight doesn’t mean anything to me.

by jay. on Nov 20, 2009 10:01 AM EST up reply actions

hey jay

I seriously don’t want to argue. My only thing is if he did indeed use roids in wwe (which I don’t care if he did or not), like I’m not taking away from what else he’s accomplished. Its just did that have any effect on speeding up the process of this sickness he contracted? And is it in any way to blame for the possibility of shortening his career?
These are intended as topics of discussion that I would like to hear opinions on, not just argue & be calling each other idiots.

Again I have no proof, I just think its an interesting topic of possibility.

by daniel worby on Nov 20, 2009 10:29 AM EST via mobile up reply actions

Daniel

I’m not sure what it is you want to know. I am one of Brock’s biggest nuthuggers and I think he did do steroids while in the WWE. I won’t ever argue that point. What I am saying is exactly what Mossy here said. Who cares who did steroids in the WWE, it isn’t a real competition. I think his usage may have something to do with his current condition, again, none of my business. Brock started in the WWE long after I stopped watching it. The only thing I care about is Brock now, he isn’t on the juice anymore, as is evident by his picture catalog.

by jay. on Nov 20, 2009 10:52 AM EST up reply actions

WWE has more to do with bodybuilding than fighting

WWE is choreographed so technique and skill are not very important because the other guy is helping you to do a move which means they don’t train for much for this unlike MMA where a guy like Brock (relatively new to MMA) will spend most of his time training for technique. The point I’m trying to make is that what the WWE want are guys who look like bodybuilders, so their guys train like bodybuilder i.e. for appearance. His MMA training is completely different and does not give the same results in terms of appearance which is why he looks different and not because he has stopped taking steroids he was supposedly taking. And also remeber that he fights about 40lbs lighter than when he was in the WWE, huge difference.

by Mossy on Nov 20, 2009 10:39 AM EST up reply actions   1 recs

Size doesn't matter

Have any of y’all lifted weights before? Im not saying he did or didn’t use PEDs but his size and body composition are not relevant. Yes he was bigger in WWE but he was lifting and eating to be in a body builder form (for some reason rednecks like looking a buff dudes in their underwear) . Now its about performance, being shredded does not make you a good athlete, I mean BJ Penn is a fat light weight, ha. And of course he is bigger than he was in college, where he still wrestled at 265’s. Now the man passed a ton of drug test give him a break, even if he ever did use them, thats even more impressive. And stop bashing on his skills, he once was at the pinnicle of a wrestling (the real stuff), you don’t bash Fedor for coming from Sambo, and you shouldn’t.

by qwalker55 on Nov 20, 2009 12:48 PM EST up reply actions

Not sure...

That the NCAA is the pinnacle of wrestling, but his amateur skills were definitely legit. Anyone arguing that using steroids doesn’t help you perform athletically has issues. Anyone claiming that having more muscle and less fat is NOT an advantage is also delusional. Using a freak like BJ Penn to prove a point about how body composition doesn’t matter is silly. You think if BJ looked like GSP he would’ve gotten manhandled the way he did? Didn’t think so.

Not the end all, be all...

but they’re called Performance ENHANCING Drugs for a reason. Taking a few examples of guys who excel at their sport and trying to turn that into an argument for why having less muscle and more fat improves the average fighter doesn’t make sense. And it’s “physique”.

B.S.

You’re a retard. As a matter of fact he was heavier in college than he is now. They didn’t have a 265 weight limit.

Hate on Brock

Fact is his only loss was a rookie mistake. He was destroying Mir in the first fight. Guy is freakin tough. quickest 300 pounder out there.

There is no doubt

Brock has the tools and mentality to compete with anyone in MMA today. A lot of MMA fans would have him as a fauvorite to win against anyone.

by Puck Head on Nov 20, 2009 1:12 PM EST up reply actions

That Dynamite MMA event is still funny to me where they had the extremely long pathway from the entrance to the ring.
