Jesse

I appreciate for the props, but was it really necessary to put it in big red at the bottom of the picture?

I took that pic on the UFC forum and I didn’t change the title, but maybe it would be better to put “Strikeforce quick pic”….just a thought.

Shields, the better man

I’m glad the better man won the fight. For whatever reason mayhem could not adapt his game to compete successfully in “Mixed” martial arts. And Shields is tiny for a middleweight!

by JRE on Nov 18, 2009 4:26 PM EST reply actions

I don’t think there’s any argument that Shields didn’t win that fight.
He certainly did, however, he won via point scoring, and ‘fighting not to lose’, and that doesn’t win you any fans. Especially when you’re a smug bitch like Shields.

Mayhem gained a lot of fans and Shields lost a lot (myself included).
The only damage sustained by Mayhem was from an infection ;X

Shogun lost a close decision! Everyone get crazy!

haha

This is the only mark Shields left on him. I knew he was trying to suck his neck while he was lying on him. That’s one nasty looking hickey.

by jay. on Nov 18, 2009 7:46 PM EST up reply actions

Spot on mate, Shields is the man yet gets no respect for winning a belt at a higher weight class. I bet he’d still get bashed even if he beat Jacare.

by David W-S on Nov 18, 2009 8:11 PM EST up reply actions

Sheilds is not the man!

He is a good grappler / wrestler.. Thats it!

If he could beat a world class grappler like jacare then i think he deff would get some respect. Personally i think jacare takes that fight by being the bigger man and better than shields just about everywhere.

by ItsNormlToSmokePot on Nov 18, 2009 8:32 PM EST reply actions

Winning titles in 2 different weight classes makes him the man in my opinion, regardless of him not being a great striker. I want to see how he deals with Jacare, surely a win over him would earn Jake the respect that he deserves.
