Quoteworthy:

"Dede Pederneiras takes care of the part of studying the adversary. He makes the strategy and boxing, wrestling and ground game is up to me. I also train Muay Thai to get into wherever the fight goes. I will be well trained to represent my country. The fans can wait my best. I will go towards Brown. Whoever I’m fighting I’m looking for him to please the public and the event. I have respect for my opponent, he is a great fighter and deserves to be the champion, but whereas WEC gave me the opportunity, I will fight as best as possible."

Number one WEC featherweight contender, Jose Aldo, believes his agressiveness will make the difference against Mike Brown this Wednesday night in the WEC 44 main event. Aldo – who has scored five (technical) knockout victories in a row believes his agressiveness will make the difference against American Top Team athlete.  What say you Maniacs .... will Aldo really be able to catch Brown’s belt?

Tough call

I have a feeling that Aldo is going to be too aggressive and get caught, but at the same time I feel that Brown won’t do as well against an opponent that is very very aggressive. Thats why its a tough call for me. Im going to go with Brown tho, since he is going to be much stronger, imo, and that he is smarter. His wrestling is good and his conditioning is good as well. He will take the fight to the mat if needed and I dont see Aldo stopping him from that. I see the fight going into the later rounds with Brown winning in 4 or 5 via stoppage to a gassed and bruised up Aldo.

As soon as Brown goes for a takedown…he’s going eat a devastating knee from Aldo. Aldo is lightning quick and he has a bigger arsenal at his disposal. I’ve never seen Aldo on his back but he’s got a black belt in jitz and I’ve read that he’s pretty slick on the ground. I like MTB but I think Aldo is going to overwhelm him and catch him multiple times.

GOTTA BE BROWN

cant wait for this fight… aldo is lights-out but brown is a true professional and champion and i think he’s gonna handle aldo on the ground. my guess is this one will not see the championship rounds one way or another.

I admire Brown as a fighter and person. Had the chance to talk to him once and he’s a gentleman. Aldo is amazing standing despite having his origin in jiu-jitsu. Tough call, I agree. Brown doesn’t commit mistakes and Jose is versatile. We’ll have another great WEC.

Sick Fight...

Stink looks like we are split again. I am taking Aldo in this one. I think Brown already has his eye on the UFC at 155, and any lack of concentration against a guy like Aldo will spell big trouble.

split again~

i do agree somewhat.. i could see brown underestimating this fight or any 145 fight.. the mans a beast at 145..

u are right it could happen, but im thinking brown’s taking this fight very serious[as he should].. aldo is no joke!~ and one flurry from him could find brown in a world of trouble.. regardless how ‘in shape’ or prepared mike comes, this will be no easy task..

i can’t wait..

to add on that~

i really think brown needs to stay at 145 for a couple more fights before jumping the 10..

or at least not jump right in the deep end of 155.. he needs to take baby steps into the lw competition..
