MMAmania announces UFC 104 Dethrone Royalty Cain Velasquez contest winners

ufc104shirtcontest

MMAmania.com is proud to announce the grand prize winner of our UFC 104 Dethrone Royalty-sponsored contest give-a-way, Alex Martin.

Alex came the closest out of the thousands upon thousands of entries that we had to sift through these last few weeks (thanks for the support and participation everyone), predicting that Cain Velasquez would finish Ben Rothwell via technical knockout at 1:38 of round two in their heavyweight showdown at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Calif., on Oct. 24.

The official time of the stoppage, which "Big" disputed when it happened, was :58.

Nice work, Alex. He walks away with a signed Velasquez walkout tee from Dethrone Royalty, as well as a box of other free swag.

But he isn't alone.

Several other MMAmania readers were close enough to earn prizes. So we'll send them shirts (unsigned), too.

Here they are:

  • Anders Kristian Overgaard: Cain defeats Rothwell via TKO in round 2 at 1:39
  • Nick Hudson: Cain Velasquez wins via technical knockout at 2:02 in the 2nd round
  • Matthew: Cain defeats Rothwell via TKO in round 2 at 2:05

Alex, Anders, Nick and Matthew -- be on the lookout from the MMAmania.com team. We want to get your stuff in the mail as soon as possible.

Thanks again for everyone who participated. And thanks to Dethrone Royalty for making this all possible. If you want to see more Dethrone Royalty gear click here.
