I hear that wearing that scarf is part of Randys new training program. Honestly everywhere I see pre-vera spots – he’s always rocking a scarf.

I guess it’s allowed his last name is…

Should be a great card but I feel the main event was just the a purely business decision to have a big name like Randy sell tickets and the Brits have been exposed to Vera before. I just do not see either of these guys winning as having an effect on the division. Everyone will just say Vera beat an old out of prime Couture and if Randy wins everyone will say yeah he can beat Vera but no top level guys in the LHW division. Stylistically it is an interesting match-up though. I guess the irrelevant to the division match-up could also be said about the UFC 106 main event as well. lol

UFC 105 : No Reason to Watch

Seriously, is anyone interested in seeing Couture v Vera??!!

by KS on Nov 12, 2009 10:43 AM EST reply actions   0 recs

I am….Randy is a legend and at his age it is something to watch and you never know what will happen in a fight that will make it to the high-light reel…that being said, I don’t miss any MMA events, I don’t know what the point is by stating ur not interested in a free night of fights….

I’m damn interested, in basically all of these fights, but especially the 3 main ones.

Were you more excited for Hatsu Hioki vs. Michihiro Omigawa?

Quit hating, it’s a waste of energy.

Renzo Gracie vs Matt Hughes at UFC 109

nice. little revenge maybe but i doubt it. when hughes is stronger than an opponent he is tough to beat.

KS,

No. No one wants to watch a FREE card with 3 fights so close to call that Vegas has 5 out of 6 of them listed as favorites. & only hardy listed as an underdog, & marginal at that.

Sorry Dana couldn’t put Brock on every card for you.

Plz plz plz don’t watch. I sincerely hope you lose what lil knowledge/interest you have in the sport and leave.

D-bag Worby: If you think I care for Lesnar, you’re a few cards short of a full deck, or haven’t been paying attention. Please try a Google search for ‘sarcasm’, you might learn something.
The point was, I don’t understand why Silva ever set this match up. I can’t imagine anyone actually being interested in it.

KS – perfect example of sarcasm is the comment you just replied to

I guess google can’t teach you everything

If you watch for it Michael Bisping was visibly upset after Kang didn’t want to shake hands.

This should be a good fight.

Will Vera show too much respect for Couture…

Is Swick’s impressive win streak going to continue or will he be upset…

As far as big names go, this isn’t a great card, but in reality, sometimes those end up being the best events.

I’m really looking forward to this one now that it’s only two days away.

Then again I am a huge MMA nerd.

Vera’s nervous. And he will be hesitant.

Dog’s bollocks haha that was priceless. For those of you that don’t know, bollocks means balls/testicles and the phrase is a compliment though it sounds like an insult.

Kang looked really focused, Bisping could be in big trouble. If he is as aggressive as he claims he’ll be then Kang’s going to win by KO, I’m liking his chances more and more as fight night approaches.

Had to love the runner’s up trophy, at least Swick can take a joke imagine of Hardy tried that with Oirish Davis. That’s the fight I’m looking forward to the most, though I have a feeling that joke is getting to end up making Hardy look really silly as I don’t see him beating Swick.

Randy is the man, can’t wait to see him fight. Can’t stand Vera but he’s growing on me. The winner doesn’t deserve a title shot by any means but it should still be a good fight and should lead to a big fight against either the Rashad-Thiago winner or the Lil Nog-Cane winner.

I think Couture should have to fight Rogerio Nogueira before he even thinks about a title shot!

Pft… that guy’s not the most electrifying of speakers is he?
