Class act.

THAT is a proffessional. I don’t know why Dana acts the way he does about the Fedor thing. He handles it terribly, just slinging insults around. Then the next minute (if you chose to believe Dana) he was offering him the most lucrative contract in the history of MMA. Now he’s back to slinging insults around and the he wonders why Fedor doesn’t want to work with him.

I think if anything Fedor coming to the UFC would be Dana’s worst nightmare, because if Fedor did beat Brock, Shane Cain etc. which I believe he is capable of doing, then Dana would look like the hugest idiot ever, plus it would legitamize MMA outside of the UFC and it would no longer be held in such high regard by the casual fans.

Can anyone tell me what was said in this interview? tHanks boys!

by john G on Nov 12, 2009 2:16 PM EST up reply actions

Dana look like an idiot? No, never!

by brendan on Nov 12, 2009 2:35 PM EST up reply actions

Fedor looks depressed all the time.

by jay on Nov 12, 2009 6:49 PM EST up reply actions

Fedor is also the epitome of a warrior.

He is also the best HVYWT in the world.

No doubt.

by OJR on Nov 12, 2009 12:16 PM EST up reply actions

Yup…bashing AA was really classy. He could have said so many other things without kicking a ‘downed’ fighter.

by MM_Eh on Nov 12, 2009 3:20 PM EST up reply actions

he didnt bash AA. he simply said that rodgers had his way with AA in 20 seconds. If anything he was trying to bring up how legit Brett Rogers was in comparable terms to UFC fighters.

by Javster on Nov 12, 2009 3:29 PM EST up reply actions

He could have just said that Rogers beat a top 10HW instead of saying he disposed of him in 20sec. It’s not what he said (obviously Rogers beat AA) it’s what he emphasized (20sec…had his way with him).

by MM_Eh on Nov 12, 2009 4:21 PM EST up reply actions

Also, when GSP gives an interview like this people say he’s boring, or a company-man…but Fedor does it he’s classy. I like both them both, but there are some serious double-standards around here.

by MM_Eh on Nov 12, 2009 4:27 PM EST up reply actions

yeah but you seem to ignore the ufc double standards and try to point out his, witch i did not see as bashing aa at all.

by roy on Nov 12, 2009 5:12 PM EST up reply actions

Why would I bring up the UFC’s double-standards when I was referring to the double-standards of posters and not organizations. Not every comment has to be about the M1 Global/Strikeforce vs. The UFC. I think that assumption in itself says a great deal.

by MM_Eh on Nov 12, 2009 5:17 PM EST up reply actions

what does it say

by roy on Nov 12, 2009 6:48 PM EST up reply actions

It says that a person can’t like or dislike fighters without being called a UFC-nuthugger or anti-UFC. Comments can’t even be made anymore without people thinking it has to do with the organization and not the fighters.

by MM_Eh on Nov 12, 2009 8:29 PM EST up reply actions

MM_Eh-I like GSP for very similar reasons that I like Fedor. I’ve never called his style, or his interviews, boring. I’ve always thought GSP was a class act that shows other fighters the utmost respect. I’m a huge Fedor fan, but I’m also a big fan of GSP for similar reasons.

by Diceman on Nov 12, 2009 8:37 PM EST up reply actions

I like how his attitude is basically that Dana’s comments don’t even warrant a response. “Just speculation” is pretty much all he said about Dana’s insults.

by Diceman on Nov 12, 2009 11:34 AM EST reply actions

Yea Dana needs to calm down by keep putting Fedor down, makes no sense. I would repect him more if he said the fans want to Fedor in the UFC becuase there are so many great fights for him here….good come back about AA vs Rogers

by Robert(1) on Nov 12, 2009 11:39 AM EST reply actions

Fedor just seems like the better person. Dana is like a bitter child with these insults. Same ’ol story.

It would be funny if we found out that Fedor’s translators always say the best, kindest things, but in reality he was saying worse things than Dana with the childish insults and rants. I would laugh.

by L E E on Nov 12, 2009 11:44 AM EST reply actions

lol….that would be funny.

Fedor – “Tell Dana that if he talks about me again, I’ll come to Vegas and bang his wife, again”

Translator – “I don’t listen to the insults Dana says, I respect all men equally, under God”

by OJR is King (formerly introvert) on Nov 12, 2009 12:01 PM EST up reply actions

That is funny stuff right there.

by MMAFan1981 on Nov 12, 2009 4:03 PM EST up reply actions

By the look on his face, bang his wife and sister and mom and maybe dana

by wags on Nov 12, 2009 6:38 PM EST up reply actions

“Dana White is a fucking stupid american asshole. Fuck him and that B-level organisation.”

Is what he really said ;-).

Fedor is a real class act though. He always has a sensible, balanced answer for everything.

by SixT-4 on Nov 12, 2009 11:58 AM EST reply actions

Fedor’s attitude, to me is just great. Takes all the heat (wheter is self-inflicted or not) and keeps himself in check.
I’ve watched Fedor for years now and I (like most of the mma world even the likes of Couture) am impressed with the mans style. I’ll explain;

Even if the guy glances a punch it still knocks you around the and in most cases, knocks you down. His training is perfect. Everyone is mystified on and about his training. Its simple. He doesnt train for one person alone because in doing that you limit yourself for only the expected, Fedor trains the same every time for ALL aspects of fights whether is ground or stand up.

His agression is impressive and second to none. Its his control over his mind that is the most impressive. Do I think he’s unbeatable? No cetainly not. He can and before hes done will be beat. All credit due, hes rather lightweight for fights against 265 pound power houses and as we all saw, when he cant keep you wrapped for a submission, he simply knocks you out.

Im not a fan boy or anything, I just like what I’ve seen and Fedor is a total package. I am pissed however that he picks opponents to fight that have 20 less fights than him, BUT we’ve seen him take out a lot tougher guys with good records.

He can and will be a part of UFC one day, if not it will be a shame. I predict that before his time is done he WILL want to be apart of the most competition to set his legacy in full bloom, not only for himself but for his fans.

flame if you want, this is just a fraction of my opinions.

I love the looks of disapproval when she mentions Dana White’s name lol.

by tiger_style on Nov 12, 2009 12:19 PM EST reply actions

a fighter’s record has nothing to do with the fighters skill. look at brock 5 fights thats it cain, and shane have 10 like roger. but everyone says he hand picks fights. if someone said u can fight werdum or a big 6’4 265 brick $hithouse, im picking werdum. get off fedor he’s good, and he just got off your mom dana white.

by bellio on Nov 12, 2009 12:26 PM EST reply actions

I think Fedor is entertaining as hell,as badly as I want Miller and Rogers to win. I was cheering for Roger and Miller to make some money. I like Fedor but I still HATE Shields. Boring as hell

by SluggerCitySoldier(Shogun got ROBBED) on Nov 12, 2009 1:08 PM EST reply actions

Dana Whitless has the greatest motor mouth in MMA. Trouble is rings are shot and all that comes out foul smelling crap. I think he a little confused over who needs their head smashed. Dana, step up, get into the cage and put your head where your motor mouth is. Several people people have publically challenged you, but still just more motor mouth crap. Dana, get an overhaul or get out of MMA.

by charlyw on Nov 12, 2009 1:55 PM EST reply actions

The end was priceless, I bet M-1 aren’t impressed that Sherdog ended the video early while their CEO was advertising upcoming M-1 events. They couldn’t have timed it any better.

by David W-S on Nov 12, 2009 2:43 PM EST reply actions

LOL at blaming a 4 month old cut he got from his brother. Why not just admit that the tire man caught him with a good shot?

Hope he didn’t catch the hep from his brother……..

by SHORT_BUS on Nov 12, 2009 3:53 PM EST reply actions

That made me laugh as well, Fedor always seems to blame Aleks when things go wrong.

by David W-S on Nov 12, 2009 4:39 PM EST up reply actions

this was not anything new, i had already heard about the cut before the barnett fight.

by roy on Nov 12, 2009 5:13 PM EST up reply actions

Keep insulting him Dana thats how you’ll get fedor.
