Let the Tito haters begin! Notice that the haters will begin bashing, but at the same time watch his vid.

That’s where you’re wrong. People will mostly assume that he said his back was fine, coleman is a sissy, chucky rematch, best he’s ever felt, machida sucks, his striking is on par with silva’s and will repeat ufc 101 on forrest. Now people -compile a list of the top excuses that will be made by “a guy who doesn’t belong in the UFC.”

by NameNotRequired on Nov 11, 2009 12:26 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

I do have to admit that I enjoyed a few of Tito’s fights. I loved the 2 Chuck fights, the Randy fight, and the Machida fight. I even liked one of the Shamrock fights- the one with Frank Shamrock.

Tito was sporting a black eye at the end of the video, shouldn’t have told Paulie from Team Quest that he was his property…

by DAVE A on Nov 11, 2009 3:35 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

Socal: you couldnt be more wrong! I havent watched a single tito video since he signed with the UFC…why? Because he is the definition of IRRELEVANT and the only thing that comes out of his mouth is the same diarrhea that he has been saying for years!

I am no Tito hater, I just dont get fooled by hype and marketing. So I refuse to give all this attention to a b-level at best fighter! Not only wont I watch a singe Tito video, I WILL NOT WATCH the Tito/Forrest fight! I refuse to watch that crap!

Only Tito fights that were any good, were the ones he lost in! The chuck fights, Randy spanking him was cool, and Mmachida making Tito look like an amateur was my fav fight of 2008

its amazing how a little WWE style trash talk tricks fans into thinking he is a decent fighter! Average at best!

Jacob “average at best” Ortiz

NNR: The excuses are sickening. He has them lined up weeks before the fight! How can anyone be a fan of a piece of crap like Tito, especially when he isnt even a good fighter? If you like the trash talk so much, go watch the WWE! I like Trash talk, but only if the guy running his mouth has any chance of actually backing it up!…TITO doesnt!

To say your not a Tito hater couldn’t be more false

by McArthur on Nov 11, 2009 10:35 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

and John, with respect why is it you carve Forest at every turn yet lay off him and decide to continually attack Tito…and what excuses are you referring too? I’ve heard nothing but over-confidence from Tito…How is what he’s saying any different from what BJ says?

by McArthur on Nov 11, 2009 10:38 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

I am far from a Tito fan, but I already put money on him to beat Forrest at +135. I like the odds. Forrest is very beat up mentally after that emabarasment against Anderson.

Yes, Tito has always been overrated, BUT so has Forrest Griffin. I’m willing to believe that Tito’s back was all F’d up and he wasn’t 100% the past couple years if comes out and doesnt fatigue against Forrest and puts on a GnP clinic.

If Forrest can stop the takedowns, he jabs away to a decision win. If Tito gets his takedowns, he either finishes Forrest with GnP or rides out a decision.

Personally, out of the two fighters, I think FOrrest Griffin is the fighter that is DONE.

by ViolentMike on Nov 11, 2009 11:14 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

Lay off Forrest? I hate that over rated Bum! Thats why my above post clearly states that:
“I WILL NOT WATCH the Tito/Forrest fight! I refuse to watch that crap!”…

Tito vs. Forrest is B level at best vs. B-level at best!

I would actually prefer to see a rematch between Rashad and Bisping which before Tito/forrest was the crappiest main event in recent UFC ppv history. Tito/forrest at this point is the WORST!

VM: I agree that I actually like Tito in this fight, but thats just because I also think that Forrest has been MENTALLY MAIMED by Anderson Silva. I didnt look at the odds yet, but if Tito is +135, I will throw a small amount of cash on him. Tito could win by tKO or decision. Forrest can only win be decision, so in my eyes, Tito is a better bet, especially as an underdog…but that doesnt change the fact that its a TERRIBLE MAIN EVENT!

by john G on Nov 11, 2009 11:52 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

the fact is that EVERYONE and their brother already know how you feel about it…no need to continuously bash then claim that you don’t care only to repeat yourself day after day

by McArthur on Nov 11, 2009 12:23 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

I think that John is trying to say that he hates Forrest Griffen and that he thinks that this fight is a waste of time and money.

I, on the other hand, hate Tito and think that this fight is a waste of time and money and something that I surely will not watch.

by deadgrassinyard on Nov 11, 2009 1:40 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

well if they wouldnt make Tito/Forrest threads everyday I woudnt talk about how terrible they are…and if I still do, so the fock what?> get over it,,, I sit here and read countless meaningless posts all day and I dont complain, and you give me crap about mine?

Stop defending B-level fighters! have fun paying $45 for that crap!

by john G on Nov 11, 2009 7:25 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

johnny boy, it’s a free site, type whatever you want. This is going to be a close fight between two duds. I couldn’t care less about Forrest/Tito. I could see either one of them winning, but no outcome excites me. This will be another round of UFC main event crappers. With 4 of the 5 title holders either sick or injured it is getting hard for the UFC to put a nice event together.

by jay on Nov 11, 2009 7:55 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

Cant wait 4 TITO to bring BACK the PUNISHMENT to the UFC and send FORREST running and crying back to mommy.

by TaPouT on Nov 11, 2009 12:59 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

I couldn’t make it all the way through. Why the hell is he still training in Big Bear? With the same people? If it’s broke, don’t fix it?

by naturalshadow on Nov 11, 2009 1:27 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

Tito looked SLOW when he was doing striking in that vid. I hated the bit when he said “maybe that’s why I’m so popular” talking about fighting with his heart… blah blah blah.

NOBODY fights with as much heart as Forrest, unfortunately, Forrest doesn’t have any real power in is hands but he does have a decent subs game and his sprawls and take down defence are actually REALLY good and he’ll still give Tito hell and if he can be a bit more explosive than previously, both with his wrestling and his hands, then he may even finish it. Not that I’m writing Tito out of it, but I’m pretty sure (correct me if I’m wrong) that Forrest has a decent reach advantage, meaning it may be difficult for Tito to box with him as he claims he wants to. but if it goes to a decision then I think it could go either way. A Forrest sub would be awesome though.

by Spinning Fat Kick on Nov 11, 2009 11:13 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

What an awesome training compound Tito has at Big Bear. I didn’t know that he trains with Cyborg. Whether you love him or hate him, it will be fun to see Tito fight Forrest again. Many re-matches seem boring to me, but I am looking forward to this one.

by DrPepper on Nov 11, 2009 1:34 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

iam getting more and more excited for this fight. i think we need the HB bad boy back in the game to shake things up. This fight will sell a lot more ppvs then people think. Hes still a draw no matter what.

by jr on Nov 11, 2009 12:36 AM EST reply actions   0 recs

I’ve got Tito in this one. Tito’s the better wrestler and Forrest is mentally broken!

by Nick on Nov 11, 2009 1:05 AM EST reply actions   0 recs

I’m hoping for some kind of double KO myself.

by Chalkbot on Nov 11, 2009 4:02 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

The question will be Tito’s hands. He’s always needed to have better hands to accomodate his style. Cause let’s face it, he’ll have a hard time taking some people down and when that happens he needs to be able to stand and trade. Possibly KOing somebody with a shot. I like the fact he’s working with Roach.
Long time Tito fan here!

by xxBAxx816 on Nov 11, 2009 1:35 AM EST reply actions   0 recs

Knockout power seems like something you either have, or don’t have. Improved striking will help, but I wouldn’t count on a bunch of KO’s.

by naturalshadow on Nov 11, 2009 2:56 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

its not really KO power he needs…he needs to be able to score more points in the striking department so that his opponents feel the need to keep their hands up…once their hands are up in defense, his TD’s will be easier to get

by McArthur on Nov 11, 2009 10:57 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

Improving your striking can only help your chances of KOing somebody.

by Beej on Nov 11, 2009 1:17 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

LOL…arthur…i was gonna bring that up too. He sounded like a dumb ass. It’s really easy to pick on these interviews but…it’s not like they are scripted…its all random so actually they are pretty good. I’m a big Tito fan…tough to argue with whoever said he needs to bring in different people…there wasn’t anyone in that group that was better than tito…to get better…practice with more talent. Why not have Oscar stick around and work some hands…who better to teach…how much better would his stand up guys be than Tito’s…ummmm….A LOT.

That said…….Forrest is a good match up for Tito if he can get after him. Forrest wont survive a first round now…like the first round he survived when he was fighting to be on top in there first fight. Now Forrest is kind of a punk. Tito….early 2nd round TKO.

To whoever said he shouldn’t be in the UFC. It’s a business….Tito sales tickets and ppvs…thats the bottom line. Don’t make stupid comments.

Since you know the quality of fighters that are there in his camp. Was that you video taping?

by xxBAxx816 on Nov 11, 2009 12:23 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

They showed the guys in his camp, that’s how he knows how good they are. And you are right Luke. Nothing has changed in Tito’s training.

TITO ’’MEGACEFALUS’’ ORTIZ! he will put a beating on woods!

by punch from the bottom on Nov 11, 2009 7:10 AM EST reply actions   0 recs

I gotta give it to Tito though he does make some good vlogs compared to alot of other fighters.
And he’s funny without realizing it himself;

“That guy is my property” (points to the only black guy in the room) :D

by Lester The Pimp on Nov 11, 2009 7:56 AM EST reply actions   0 recs

This fight all depends on if Tito can take Forrest down. If he can’t, then it’s going to be a very close fight because neither one of these guys can ko anybody with their punches standing up. Is Tito’s back really 100% and does he have his cardio back? Guess we’ll see. If so, Forrest please don’t run out of the octogon crying again!

by brandon childers on Nov 11, 2009 8:57 AM EST reply actions   0 recs

Tito is back and i am a die hard fan of him ..i love how he wants to fight and not run like alot of fighters today i just hope that he gets back to the tito of old and GNP, if he does than the ufc lightweights better be prepared to fight when they are facing him. WAR TITO!!!!!!!!

Yeah….One dimensional fighting….Woohoo!

While your at it, pray that there is Shamrock/Ortiz 4,5,6 and 7 too.

by DubNub on Nov 11, 2009 10:02 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

90% of fighters in MMA are one dimensional. People just choose to overlook that when discussing their favourite fighters.

Hell….there’s been 4 days worth of arguing over Fedor and Brock….I don’t think I have to tell which one of these guys is one dimensional…but he still has his groupies.

Yea I think if he was fighting the ufc lightweighs then he even might beable to beat a few… Lol

by eagzy on Nov 11, 2009 12:28 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

I always said that Tito needs to either step away from Big Bear for a while to train with some fighters that can beat hin up in the gym, or bring someone in to his camp.

I know he said that he was going to train boxing with Freddie Roach, which is slways a good thing, but I didn’t see anyone in that video that would out wrestle Tito…and that’s what he needs to do to improve…wrestle with someone better than him.

I hope he wins this fight, but it looks like he’s still training wrestling with guys inferior to him, which is cause for concern.

by OJR is King (formerly introvert) on Nov 11, 2009 10:10 AM EST reply actions   0 recs

I agree. It was like watching a video from 2 years ago.

by DubNub on Nov 11, 2009 10:40 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

…I wonder if Cris Cyborg gave him that mouse on his eye?

Now that would be funny.

With that said….Tito by GnP 1st round.
