Check out his thoughts on possibly facing Mike Whitehead at Strikeforce: "Evolution" on Dec. 19 as well...

TOo much is made of King MO. He is a very promising prospect, but like he said…he has only been fighting a year, and has faced almost as bad of competition as Kimbo.
Happy he signed with strikeforce but he has to start fighting credible opponents. Whitehead is trash, but he is a good start for mo!

and this muppet thinks he can exploit King Fedor’s weaknesses – as if you say shit like that – he’s shit until proven otherwise.

The guy is 5-0. I suppose he should be fighting someone with 20 or 30 fights under their belt?
My God….why can’t any fighter outside the UFC get some experience before everyone jumps on the “he’s fightin’ cans” train?
I prefer it when a young fighters are groomed for a few years…it’s the sensible thing to do, IMO.
Whitehead is no joke, especially considering Lawal is only 5 fights into his career. How many other fighters could be matched up with someone like Whitehead, while only 5 fights into their careers? Not many.

The problem with King Mo is that he’s being overhyped when he hasn’t done anything yet. He could go on to be a great 205lb fighter but shouldn’t be mentioned in the same sentence as quality LHWs or Fedor. He has a lot of talent but even for a prospect a win over Mark Kerr these days is pointless, that fight was nothing more than an easy payday for Mo. Whitehead is a much more relevant and challenging opponent. It’s too early to say how good or bad he is, I want to see how he looks in SF before saying anything either way.

That’s my point Introvert. It’s ridiculous all these fanboys getting up and arms coz he stood up to that idiot rampage when he tried to clown him. Now everyone is calling for him to fight fedor. Also up until now he’s has smashed one very good competition that debuting fighter should be proud of (except for Kerr). Just because people can’t name these guys and haven’t seen them fight in the UFC, they automatically assume they’re tomato cans.

he’s colorful which is where the hype comes from. if he wasn’t so flamboyant, he wouldn’t have the hype. but it works for him and is likely paying the bills so good on him.
in my opinion, king mo is “rampage lite”.

Way more charisma in a non ignorant way. If you hear him in his interviews with Jordan breen at sherdog, he’s extremely knowledgeable about the fight game and all combat sports from MT to boxing to MMA to grappling. His technical insight is what’s really surprising for such a young fighter.

He’s just a thug with the same stupid jibberish ebonics like Rampage.
He made a fool of himself on Inside MMA.

I dislike this man. I wonder how far off a bout with Mousasi is…

“…only been fightin’ for a year, dawg.” He forgot to say he has only beaten shit opponents and thinks he is a lot better than he is.
I’m no Rampage fan, but he was right when he told Mo he has no track record. I would live to see Rampage wreck this knucklehead.
All you Lawal nut swingers can embarrass yourself and flame on.

I like this dude. He can throw down (in a fairly well-rounded manner, with superb wrestling) AND he seems to have a GENUINE sense of humor (As opposed to Rampage and Forrest [and i love the UFC]).

He sounds like a thug, and it’s really annoying. He might have some MMA knowledge and skills, but his persona and lack of well thought out English makes him easy to dislike. How you like dem words dawg?
