Completely unrelated. Anyone see the new SouthPark? The whole Fag situation, anyone think the Dana White controversy started that episode?

It’s two minutes of random people high-fiving fighters on their way into or out of the backstage area.
by PW on Nov 9, 2009 3:48 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Not that Dana has beef with bikers just that when he called Loretta Hunt a fag, the gay community and others gotta really offended. Then Dana had to say sorry and that he wasn’t tryin to offend the gay community, just mocking Hunt. The whole episode just reminded me of that. Maybe that’s where they got thur inspiration haha

Why is that video Epic? There was nothing to it. That definitely wasn’t Tyson or Andy.

is that mike tyson hugging fedor at the end of the video?

I don’t think so. didn’t see any tattoos on his face.

could be michael clark duncan. he’s from chicago i think and a huge fan of mma. although he looks a little small in that suit.

nah its not tyson i dont think, you hear him congratulate Fedor and he doesnt sound like a pre pubescent teen

Turns out it’s some guy from a magazine named Rodney Hunt (according to Steve Cofield). Cofield says it was unprofessional and says this about the guys behavior at the event:
Of course, there’s also being unprofessional in the other direction. The Strikeforce event in Chicago featured one “writer” from an MMA magazine drinking several beers on press row until he was scolded by the P.R. staff and another “television” reporter, who was seen hugging several fighters after victories. That includes embracing Fedor Emelianenko backstage on this video (1:40 mark).
I had thought it was George Foreman. LOL!!!

If it werent for all the goddamn blood nobody would critize Fedor after that fight.
People who give Rogers the first round should really watch it again and ignore the blood.

by roy on Nov 9, 2009 1:36 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
I thought that Rogers was about 2 or 3 punches away from having fedor in big, big trouble when he was getting hit on the ground. When Fedor went for the arm bar to get out of that position and rogers ended up on top facing the other way, Fedor DID look a little stunned!
I seriously thought there for a second that Fedor was going to lose!
Dayum Fedor is SO good at taking advantages of his opponents openings/mistakes!

Lesnar in Fedor’s guard = Death
We saw what Grim could do and he isn’t even great at GnP
by JeremyJackscan on Nov 9, 2009 1:53 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Are you joking me? That was some amazing t-ing of we watched. If anyone isn’t good at gnp it would be Lesnar. He is just an overly large man who lays on you and keeps trying to throw hammer fists. Mir can’t take punches to the face, it really throws him off and he’s no expert on the ground except in the way of submissions. IMO Brock would find himself very quickly in submission hold after submission hold. This fight only did more to solidify my belief that Fedor would trump anyone in the UFC. btw I believe Fedor would stand with Brock because Brock is terrible at striking, he can only bull rush you.
by Cogito Ergo Sum on Nov 9, 2009 2:34 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Brock would have a massive reach advantage over Fedor, and despite his lack of great technique, devastating power as well. And if Brock wants the fight on the ground it will be on the ground. Not Fedor or anyone else can stop his takedown.
by PW on Nov 9, 2009 2:39 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
brock has no gnp? have you never seen the faces of brock’s opponents after each fight?? he has never had a ufc fight where his opponents face didnt look like hamburger mush…he completely disfigures his opponents faces….
mir cant take punches to the face? did you see the punches he was taking to the face in that 2nd fight? did you see how he looked after that fight? who the hell could take those punches? herring STILL hasnt fought since having his eyeball knocked into the 5th row…brock was on top of randy for about 8 seconds throwing hammer fists and look what it did to randy’s face…
brock sucks at striking??? EVERY SINGLE PERSON THAT BROCK HAS FOUGHT IN THE UFC HAS BEEEN KNOCKED DOWN BY A SINGLE STRIKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
every freaking one of them!!!!!!!!!!!
the first fight with mir…dropped with one punch
herring sent to a summersault…
randy buckled with a punch to the side of the ear…
brock cant strike??
then explain to me why EVERY SINGLE FREAKING OPPONENT HE HAS FOUGHT IN THE UFC HAS BEEN DROPPED BY ONE SINGLE PUNCH????????//

Man, do you even know the definition of ground and pound?
by Syd on Nov 9, 2009 4:34 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
lol. Lesnar would destroy Fedor on the ground. Talk about a guy who can power through any submission.
Everyone said Fedor would own Rodgers on the ground but NO! Rodgers was better on the ground. Powering through subs.
Lesnar would just absolutely destroy Fedor on the ground.
I bet Vegas will favor Lesnar after seeing Fedor beat up pretty well by a larger guy.
Remember that Rodgers was a 6 to 1 underdog!

I agree there are two disputed #1 HW in the world right now my money would be on Brock as well I think Carwin would have a great chance too?
by Puck Head on Nov 9, 2009 5:33 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
This is a stupid debate. I am by far the biggest Fedor cocksucker alive, yes this is the real me! But even I know that there are plenty of fighters that stand a chance against him. He isnt invincible, no one is! Fact of the matter is that there are very few Heavyweights alive, that could fight Fedor and not be in an outright mismatch. Those fighters are Brock and Barnett. PERIOD! Fedor would beat the piss out of Carwin!
The only fighters that arent completely outmatched against Fedor are Barnett and Brock, and Josh isnt in the UFC. Thats why I dont understand why everyone is so pissed that he hasnt signed with the UFC. What are we missing out on by Fedor not being in the UFC? Fedor vs. Brock! Thats it! 1 single fight! Matched up against Fedor, there is no difference between all the UFC’s other heavyweights and Werdum,Silva,Overeem,Lashy,Arlovski, Grim and any HW that he could encounter in SF. Against Fedor, whats the difference between Nog and Werdum? Very little, both get dominated, difference is that Nog makes it to a decision. Against Fedor, whats the difference between Overeem and Dos Santos? or Bigfoot and Gonzaga? Not much at all! How prestigious is the UFC HW title when Frank Mir had it a year ago, and he shared it with a guy thats only been inside of a cage 5 times in his entire life?
Take the Brock fight off the table and the only difference between Fedor vs. a UFC Heavyweight and Fedor vs. a strikeforce Heavyweight is the $45 the UFC would charge you as opposed to the free card on CBS!
So stop crying that Fedor isnt in the UFC! Maybe Dana should have had some respect for people, treated them with respect regardless of if he got his way or not instead of acting like a trashy dictator and we wouldnt be having this problem!
Dont get me wrong, I am a big fan of Brock Lesnar and I would want to see Fedor KO him or submit him as much as anyone because thats exactly what would happen, but after Brock, the only other fight which isnt a total mismatch for Fedor would e Barnett, Everyone else diesnt stand a chance
by john G on Nov 9, 2009 8:50 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Wow. 1st fedor fan to give Brock at least some respect.
Feels nice.
I give Brock/Fedor 50/50 odds. Pick ’em
by JeremyJackscan on Nov 10, 2009 12:23 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Agreed it’s a match we all want to see. 1 huge advantage I see in Fedor’s favor is Lesnars inability to take punishment. I really do believe a little bit of pain will throw him off his game. If Fedor can survive a Lesnar smothering I think the fight is already won. with that quick tap to an unsecured kneebar and obvious disorientation from a knee, both provided by Mir, Brock in my eyes has proven he truly does not enjoy pain or the prospect of it where as Fedor has been faced with adversity repeatedly and never given up. That, to me, seems to be the most important factor in that match up.
by ItsCalledMMAnotUFC on Nov 10, 2009 12:36 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
john g you know Fedor is going to be on PPV with Strikeforce as well? Fedor is a legend of the sport no doubt about it but he has done nothing to prove he is still the best in todays MMA Rogers is the best fighter he fought since NOG and Cro Cop though as Rogers is the first new generation MMA fighter that is on the rise that he has faced and it was a match that finally had some value to his rating. The difference betwenn NOG and Werdum is huge john I doubt Werdum would have much a chance against him or Couture for that matter even now as well as Mir, Carwin or Cain don’t get me wrong he’s good fighter but he is not a strong HW the reason he had so many problems with Big Foot is because his strength is low guys his size like cain have much greater strength and athletisism wich is why the UFC let Werdum go. I’m a little excited about Lashley only problem is he appears not to have much of a stand up game and that might not be a factor as Barnett has had a sub par stand up and has done very well for himself. If AA focuses on MMA he can be a threat hopefully his boxing dreams or over because they really hurt his MMA game he needs to train on his stand up defence big time haveing a glass chin is one thing taking clean shots from the Grim and Fedor is another and I believe if AA is focused and learns how to avoid and defend strikes better he can be a threat anywere. But right now take away Fedor and Brock pick the 5 best in each organization and I believe the UFC HW would win all five at the very least four out of the five.
by Beaver on Nov 10, 2009 12:48 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
who are we kidding here, fedor is the smartest FIGHTER alive, with by far the most heart. Im sure he watched tape of coture giving up 60 lbs, and pretty much outwrestling lesnar, even having lesnar against the ropes, and threatening to pick him up and get on top. Facts are the only way brock beat randy is by that grazing punch, if not for that i believe randy would have worn him out and was on his way to victory, he sure as wasnt taking randy down anymore. to think after seeing some 50 yr old man outwrestle lesnar, to not think fedor would make short work of him is ridiculous. fedor throws, accurate bombs, has quickness of a MW, and hand speed also. Its silly to think brock is going to beat him
by dtoto on Nov 10, 2009 8:49 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
No it’s not it’s silly to say either one would win for sure.
by Puck Head on Nov 10, 2009 8:54 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
WHAT SEPARATES FEDOR from any fighter alive is his heart, sure many fighters have put him in bad spots or made him bleed, but fedor allways finds a weakness, and when the time is right he puts them away. ITS SILLY all these arguments that fedor was getting close to being stopped cause of ground and pound, his facial wxpressions dont even change when fighting, you could break both his legs and arms in a fight and he will still keep coming and find a way to win. HE IS ON ANOTHER LEVEL WHEN IT COMES TO having heart, and that is the most important quality a fighter can have. He also has as much punching power than any HW, yet has the handspeed of a MW, along with the quickness, his transititon game is the best, and can dictate where the fight will take place, along with that 5 time world sambo champ, great wrestling, is it any wonder he is on anther level than anyone else.

by El Mexicutioner, Formerly The Mexicutioner on Nov 9, 2009 1:01 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
The first round was very close. The only thing Grim has was the first jab that caused all the blood, and the part where he was on top and landed 3-5 good shots in which I though Fedor might be in trouble. Fedor then countered with a armbar attempt. Everything else in the round was Fedor, but the GNP from Grim had to count for ALOT. Again, its the only 2 things, but it made it close.

I think Rogers face probably looked more healthy than Fedor’s the next day. Fedor seems to summon a power into his punch that reminds me of Thor and his hammer, straight from the heavens.
by Einstein on Nov 9, 2009 2:22 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
lol Einstein that power comes straight from his hips, watch the way he swings, he winds up in the hips and just thrusts from there which suprises a lot of fights cause they don’t see him wind his fist. Very skilled and agreed, much god like.

i think its funny when people argue who won a round of a fight when the fight ends with a KO. really, whats the point?
“oh man, Rogers was dominating him oh man whoohoo. If it wasnt for that knockout punch Fedor delivered, then Rodgers would be dominating”
and YES, Rogers is a sore loser. Talked so much crap before the fight, gets KTFO, and yet, continues to talk crap? really Brett? And then he says " oh yeah he wants to rematch me, ill take that fight in a second" EEh WRONG!!! Fedor doesnt want to rematch you, he doesn NEED to rematch you! He simply answered a questioned that was asked that really didnt need to be asked cuz it had no merit! you are in Fedors rear view and he doesnt need to look back! You had your shot, you lost, and need to win about 3 or 4 fights before you have a shot at Fedor again. Move on Breett, cuz im sure Fedor has.

“i think its funny when people argue who won a round of a fight when the fight ends with a KO. really, whats the point?”
The point is this…People were saying Fedor was never in any trouble of losing the fight, if Rogers would have won one more round and went to a decision he would have lost. Also it shows that Fedor is slipping for losing a round to someone like Rogers.
by jay on Nov 9, 2009 6:10 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
When you almost lose games or fights eventually YOU DO LOSE!
Ask the Patriots from 2 years ago, after a perfect season and losing the super bowl. Close games turn into loses eventually.
It does matter HOW you win.
Basically it shows that Fedor can be beat, and if he gets destroyed on the ground next time by a huge guy, no one will be saying, “wow, I could never see Fedor getting KO’ed on the ground” because Rodgers nearly finished him.
It does matter HOW you win.

Brock would put up a really good fight against Fedor but I still see Fedor winning. I mean yeah Brock dominated Herring on the ground and he dominated Mir in the second fight on the ground but imo Fedors ground game is alot better than both Mir and Herring. Don’t forget Brock had to grab the fence against Randy to not be taken down and I believe Fedor is stronger than Randy and in a clinch either man can take each other down. As for the stand up Fedor hands are faster than Mir and Couture and he could end the fight at anytime regardless of reach advantages I believe both Lesnar and Rogers have a 81 reach and look how and it didn’t help Rogers out that much against Fedor. We could all go back and forth all day long but the fight will never happen unfortunately.

How can you say Rogers won the first round. he got taken to ground twice he got one jab that busted an already busted nose rolled into mount by accident. and it wasn’t an armbar he got out of it was a kimora from the bottom Fedor would kick Brock ass as big as he is you would think he could knock some one out with one punch Rogers could AA could Tim could and they were all put down by Fedor and the list goes on
