Programming alert: Brett Rogers to appear on ESPN2 today (Nov. 4)

Undefeated Strikeforce heavyweight Brett Rogers will make live appearances from Bristol, Connecticut today (Nov. 4) on ESPN2 programs "First Take" at 10 am ET and then again on "SportsNation" at 4 pm ET.
"The Grim" will headline the Strikeforce/CBS live prime time event "Fedor vs. Rogers" this Saturday (Nov. 7) from the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, Illinois at 10 pm ET against famed heavyweight attraction Fedor Emelianenko.
"There’s loopholes in everybody’s game, and in his game, the way I see it, he can sometimes get a little sloppy. He is a patient guy, but when he feels that he has to give, he kind of rushes it a little bit. Just on that, I can kinda set him up for a knockout just by faking an injury or something, just jump in and out his offense a little more than not. Hit and move. Hit and move. Fedor, he’s definitely done and proved to the world that he’s capable of doing whatever he needs to to get the job done. That right there –- that’s the type of fighter that I’m looking forward to fighting because it’s all about testing your might and he’s definitely got it to test."

Brett has been real busy lately with all this promo work for the show this weekend. Guess he is going to have a excuse if he does lose.

Wow this is a true joke…the guy with one of the sloppiest stand up game calling Fedor sloppy. “he kind of rushes it a little bit”, ain’t that what he does himself? I’m sure that the possum strategy of Coleman will work efficiently against Fedor. Good game plan Grim ;)

He’s just putting a fake strategy out there to double cross Fedor. He’s actually going to fake faking an injury when he’s really injured, but Fedor will think he’s faking a fake injury and give Rogers time to recover. See? Makes perfect sense now.

Any of you guys watch Sportsnation? Gotta say it’s one of the best programs on the ESPN network. They don’t take themselves way too seriously there. It’s a fun show. Different then all the other sports shows that are out there. If you guys got DVR, I highly suggest recording it. That’s awesome that they are having an mma fighter on. Wish it coulda been a more decorated fighter. But it’s a start.

I highly doubt that fedor watches or listens to any of the pre-fight press outings of Rogers

Does he really need an excuse? This fight won’t go past 1 minute.

Just watched him on First Take, and he came off fairly well. Definitely good publicity for the fights Saturday. Anyone that thinks Fedor losing would sink Strikeforce is nuts, Rogers drawing power will be more than Fedor’s could’ve been with a win.

I’ve been thinking lately about all the pressure Fedor must be getting through his M-1 masters. They’re really backed into a corner and have got to keep Fedor’s winning streak alive at all costs. Because Fedor’s so difficult to promote (for reasons that have been discussed to death), his basically undefeated record is so vitally important.
Because man, if he loses (doubtful against Rogers), it’s one and done. He goes from superman to just another fighter overnight, his market value crashes and that will be that.
It would be more than enough pressure for a fighter alone, but when you’re a Russian Mob tool, it’s got to be a lot worse. Fedor might be taking a dirt nap for all we know if Rogers KO’s him.

I agree, the “tities” comments are getting so old. Next thing you know people are going to start commenting on fighters apple bottom ass’s.

I hope it doesn’t happen, but I have a bad feeling about this… I think that Fedor might go down.

Its sad that people watching ESPN have to take Grimm’s word about how Fedor fights cause they can’t use any of his previous fight footage, even the affliction footage.

This guy is to much. Its like he regurgitates things his manager tells him about fedor. Didn’t he say he doesn’t watch fedors fights? “Hey fedor I know that we’re fighting this saturday, but I just want you to know that when u knock me unconscious I’m totally faking it..”

If he does win he should sign w/the ufc and fight Brock. His size would make an intriguing matchup.
Most likely Fedor will play it smart, just like he has with other oversized opponents, take it to the ground and submit him.
