Bisping grappling/wrestling is horrible, mediocre hands. Kang will own him standing up and on the ground.

I just hope no one gets injured before this fight…seems like everyone is lately

I know there’s not a lot of Bisping fans out there anymore.
However, seeing as I’m first generation American, with all my family living in England and my parents moving here like 26 years ago, I’m a Bisping fan by default.
That being said, I just dont see bisping winning this fight. I feel like Kang is stronger and faster, with better grappling. Not to mention the disparity in the proverbial chin.

I just watched Kang come close to caving in the head of Marvin Eastman not too long ago and WOW.
If you hasn’t seen it, you should probably check it out. Kang blasts him the one of the more brutal right overhand/hook i’ve seen in a while.
I know Eastman is not Bisping, but this was in the opening minutes of the fight. If Kang catches Bisping with one of those within 15 minutes, it’s going to be UFC 100 all over again for my boy the Count.

Yeah, because Kang’s never been knocked out…

If we took a consensus of the posters here, who do you think they’d give the edge to as far as chins go?
Kang is no Leben, i just feel like Bisping is weak in that area.

Bisping’s chin is made of glass when matched up with power strikers…

proverbial chin?!!!!! bisping got kayoed by arguably the best single puncher in the game.didnt kang get kayoed by a good dont get me wrong, blown up ww!!like ive said b4 this is my banker of the night.bispings gonna overwhelm kang 2nd or 3rd round tko.
by scott on Oct 31, 2009 1:13 PM EDT up reply actions
“Arguably the best single puncher in the game”
Fedor, Alistair Overeem, Melvin Manhoef (middleweight)
We also hadn’t really seen Bisping get tagged except for a knee that dropped him against, i cant remember who.
Don’t get me wrong, I like both fighters. I just feel like Bisping’s chin is actually small and skinny and the fact that his head kind of bobs in the air reminiscent of a Q-tip doesn’t help his cause either.
by jammin on Oct 31, 2009 1:38 PM EDT up reply actions
u obviously havnt seen the mark epstein fights.bisping looked really skinny in the hendo fight as if he hadnt rehydrated properly.personally i think the occasion got to him and i fully expect him to put it right in this fight.anyway ur a genius knowing that manhoef hits harder at mw than he does lhw!!!

Elvis Sinosic dropped Bisping, there’s no shame in getting KO’d by Hendo chin wise (skill wise there is if you literally run into his big right hand) but almost getting KO’d by a washed up journeyman like Elvis isn’t good by any means.
Bisping looked horrible against Hendo in every conceivable way, I agree that he was far too skinny but if he can’t handle the pressure then he isn’t going to go anywhere far. This is a big fight for Bisping against a tough opponent and if he struggles in the MEN again, like he did against Elvis, then he’s going to get beat because Kang is a much bigger threat.

I think that this is an awesome match up! I dont hate on Bisping like the rest of you. I actually think he has evolved into a pretty good fighter. Not a lot of people AROUND here know exactly how much potential Kang has. This match up has the potential to be amazing!
Skillwise Kang is at an advantage, but IMO Bisping has a big advantage in the mental game and that can pay dividends in this fight!
I have NO idea how this fight will play out, which is why I am really looking forward to this match up

haha funny i just watched hendo-bisping and than i come on to mania and a story of bisping is up. i gotta say this is a pretty even match. i think kang can get the knockout he has the power and the skills but bisping is a pretty good fihgter too. this is a hard one to call

Jammin, Bisping was never really a popular fighter with the mma educated. Most of the people on these sights realized he was a poor attempt at making a UK Poster Boy. While he may have been the only choice at the time, someone like Dan Hardy is a much better choice and in his first 3 fights in the UFC he has been given much tougher opponents then Bisping’s entrance into the UFC. I understand the need for confidence when being a fighter, but he maintained a whole other level of arrogance, till being humbled by Hendo…
mma2000, though his first ko was to Hendo, Elvis dropped him with a knee and he crumbled under a few of Hammill’s punches. So in his first 4 fights he was dropped in 3 of them. So i guess he doesn’t have a horrible chin like you stated, but Kang has the power, the speed, and sweet accurate striking to put him away. Kang also has a really good ground game with a bunch of submissions to his name. The only one question lately with Kang is his mental fortitude. Bisping does not lack the mental game to stay confident and driven.
by Da Monkey on Nov 1, 2009 8:25 AM EST up reply actions
I dont get why everyone is questioning his chin after ONE knockout, he had never been dropped before that and it was his first knockout which came from a terrificly timed punch by Henderson who has a strong right hand. He hasnt got the worst chin (nor the best) but you cant judge the guy on one knockout!
by mma2000 on Oct 31, 2009 12:45 PM EDT reply actions
Bisping grappling/wrestling skill is horrible and his striking is mediocre with no power. Kang wins this on paper easily, and should handle bisping.

It isnt fight camp training. On his website it says it was before he started training for Kang
by UK_Chris on Oct 31, 2009 3:11 PM EDT up reply actions
It really is amazing how bad his level change is going in for a shot. He is not even fluid yet when he drops to a knee and drives. I honestly think he has hit the cieling training over there. Take for example, forrest, he sucked at wrestling and now when you see him shoot at least his drop down to a double or single is fluid and proper technique. Honestly, there are first year high school wrestlers that have better takedowns than bisping and he is a pro-fighter. He should switch camps, and i think he will when he loses his second in a row, this time via, gnp

Bisping will stop kang or get the decision. he got kod of hendo not some joke 185 fighter. Hendo has lead in his right hand. i dont care who u are if u get hit with that right hand and on the button its lights out unless ur brock. hate the fighter for poor performances not for getting tagged. r u all forgetting he asked for wanderlei straight after. props to bisping for fighting who the ufc put in front on him. not a massive bisping fan but the stick he gets is out of order. cause hes british and won tuf 3 course the ufc r goin to use him to tap the uk market. thats good business.

No way Kang takes this. He hasn’t performed well at all in the octagon. One knockout, and all of a sudden Bisping has no chin? Whatever. Bisping took Rashad Evans to a split decision not too long ago. Bisping by unanimous decision 30-27.Plus this fight is in England.
by Josh H. on Oct 31, 2009 5:13 PM EDT reply actions
Yes way Kang takes this. Kang via KO or TKO[GNP]!
WAR KANG!

Anyone who doubts bisping against kang in london after a ko loss to hendo is crazy. i expect bisping to blow him away early. i expect big things from bisping in this fight and all u haters will be shocked. hendo is no easy win at 185 or 205 for any1 and getting kod by him is no shame. a learning curve that bisping needed to further his career. actions speak louder than words and i think he now knows to stop the shitty prefight build up talk and concentrate on the task ahead.
by jjk on Oct 31, 2009 6:06 PM EDT reply actions
Kang is not any easier of a task. 46 fights, 32 wins (many of them game a-level fighters). I don’t see where Bisping can win this fight as long as Kang is in it mentally. Kang is the better striker(has KO power which Bisping completely lacks), has only been KO’d 2 times in his career, and is much better on the ground then Bisping.
by Da Monkey on Nov 1, 2009 8:31 AM EST up reply actions
The fight is at Manchester and while there is no shame in losing to Hendo, the performance was dreadful. He looked like an amateur who came into the fight in poor shape and a horrendous strategy, before running into a big right hand that KO’d him after talking himself up. He got found out badly and proved his critics right, now he is under a lot of pressure to get a big win in front of a big crowd that won’t be as pro-Bisping as it has been in the past. He almost blew it against Sinosic, Schafer and Hamill when he was under pressure and did against Hendo, so this could be a long night for Bisping.
Kang is a legitimate threat and other than Hendo and Rashad, is the best guy that Bisping has faced, he is well rounded and experienced and I don’t see him getting caught by Bisping if he gets sloppy, as Mike doesn’t have KO power or fight ending submissions in his arsenal, so this should be a win for Kang.

I just wanna slap him as soon as he opens his mouth. He’s got the most annoying voice ever.
by Alex on Oct 31, 2009 6:37 PM EDT reply actions
Watch carefully at 3:33 – you’ll see how much Bisping has progressed, he actually circled to the right!!! Now if only he’d learned that magic technique against Hendo… ;)
by Jimrod on Oct 31, 2009 7:36 PM EDT reply actions
Yea you wanna slap him but then he would smash your keyboard over your fkin head you pussy so shut your fkin face mengi boy. The guy fights for a living if you met him all you haters would be beging for his autograph or keeping your little mincing fkin mouths shut. Alex you couldn’t knock a kipper off a greasy plate mate and it’s called an accent not everyone has an american one look it up the language is called english and theirs a shit load of accents in england alone so you will have to deal with it or swallow you fkin dick wipe.
bisping 3rd tko
by alex = sad bastard on Oct 31, 2009 7:44 PM EDT reply actions
Bisping 2nd round tko. Lots of biased yanks still about, please get over the fact that Bisping won TUF 3 anf TUF 9 both times smacking about alot of americans. Kang couldn’t even beat Belcher or akiyama. By the way you americans speak the “ENGLISH” language mainly because we invented you and ur flag. ;D
by fantana817 on Nov 1, 2009 12:06 AM EDT reply actions
It amazes me how the Americans jump all over Bisping basically cos he’s English and TUF yet when Brazilian fighters are creaming their guys they say nothing! The Brazilians are way more patriotic than Bisping is too (As long as the belt stays in Brazil yada yada……)
Hard to predict this fight BUT you’ve got to expect Bisping to come out charged up. He’s got a lot to prove and a win over Kang will help him get back on track. That said, if he stick and moves his way to a decision i’ll wash my hands with him cos thats no strategy for people whom want to be a champ someday……

Shoguns Hairy… it’s because he isa cocky SOB that cats hate him. I was used to respect this cat, but after a while of of hearing talk $hit all the time, he get’s annoying especially that he can’t back up his big mouth! Being a bloke has nothing t do with this. Why is Kang favourite by fans? He’s Canadian from Asian descent, has nothing to do with where he’s born. He’s an exciting fighter who doesn’t need to talk smack for hype.

Train all you want Mike, Kang is KTFO of your a$$! This is gonna bring Kang back up there. His last loss ws brutal to watch. Not equal to this cat’s talent at all. WAR KANG!
