And the list continues to grow. I’ve lost count of all the people and fighters that saw the fight how it really went down. SHOGUN GOT ROBBED!!!
by TaPouT on Oct 30, 2009 4:57 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
So Tito bashes the fight then praises Shogun in his next answer. The guy is a dick, bashing Machida for being boring. Last time I saw Tito fight he was missing all of his punches, getting thrown around like a child and lying on the floor clutching his chest after a brutal knee to the body. The last time Tito got 2 consecutive TKOs was over a washed up Shamrock who had no business fighting in the UFC nevermind against Tito, while Machida got 2 KOs over top contenders Rashad and Thiago. Who’s boring now Tito?
Just for that statement I’m cheering for Forrest, if he says something stupid then I’ll cheer for Tito. Honestly I don’t really care who wins, I think it’ll be a good fight but that as a main event and Amir-Baroni on the main card brings this PPV down a lot.
by David W-S on Oct 31, 2009 12:20 AM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
agreed David
In a perfect world tito/Forrest goes to a decision and the judges decide that both fighters suck so the fight is ruled a double loss instead of a draw! lol
Tito/Machida was one of my favorite fights of 2008! Seeing Tito look like an amateur was memorable

They should air the Saunders/Davs fight over this Phil Baroni crap!
Definitly not spending a penny on this event

I can’t justify this as a main event? Kos vs Rumble is sweet but maybe not enough for $49…

yeah my money is going toward the pac-cotto fight for sure

Wow…One of the few interviews I’ve seen with Tito where he doesn’t come off sounding like a pompous ass. Good job Tito.

I hope and think that Tito will win this fight too. I really want to see Forrest run out of the ring crying. It would be sweet if he did, and the crowd chanted “Run Forrest, Run!!”.

Doesn’t he have a kid or two with his ex-wife. Fatherhood should’ve lessened his ego a long time ago.

Pac-Cotto gets my money as well. Is there a place on the net to get a stream for UFC 105 even if you have to pay like 10 bucks or something?
by Danny_c on Oct 30, 2009 3:22 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
105 is free. This article is talking about 106. All UFC events are free somewhere on the net. johnG knows a bunch of sites. I use channelsurfing.net or SopCast.com. I always pay for the event but once in a while the UFC will throw something like this event at you and I just can’t justify it to myself to pay for it.
by jay on Oct 30, 2009 3:44 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
The real question is :
Will John G. respect you enough to tell you what those sites are?
Personally, I am SOL.
by OJR on Oct 30, 2009 4:20 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
apologize ojr, john can forgive. i forgive you.
by roy on Oct 30, 2009 4:30 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
I go to channelsurfing.net or justin.tv. You can usually catch a few fights there, but the streams are usually pulled down before the main event fights.

Hahaha! Yeah man. I don’t know where gay got that from. But as far as I can remember, you used to give out sites to noobs like us like 2-3 years ago?

all the sites I’ve tried suck….picture is bad and sound is horrible with major slow down…will pass on this one and use the night to take my girl out instead and bring up the fact that a UFC is on but that she is more important…I’m such a heel!

the tito/couture rematch could certainly have been a great draw for a main event

This was a great interview. I am a huge Tito fan. In just about every interview he is in he is very arrogant. I loved his honestly and at times, a but of humility. I can’t wait to see the fight. I hope he has learned at lot from Freddy and comes out w/the KO against Forest.

if tito has the power to ko anyone in lhw, it would be forrest!~
im not saying he will, but with glass’law griffin, it’s always a possibility.
by stinky~fingers on Oct 30, 2009 4:00 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
Forrest has only been knocked out by Silva, Rashad and Jardine, and those were all the result of long flurries of accurate and powerful punches. Shogun couldn’t knock him out. Neither could Rampage, and he had five rounds. Glass jaw is hardly an apt description here.

by Dana's a CrossDresser on Oct 30, 2009 5:21 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
The winner of this one will probably get Shogun next. Especially if Shogun loses to Machida this time around. If Shogun wins it will take bothe Ttito and Griffen another win after this one to get a title shot. Both will probably fight Rashad/Thiago winner next if Shogun is champ.
I see Machida and Anderson having a plan for Shogun this time and Machida going for the kill at the end of rounds, or in little spurts to make sure he wins the round but he will never fly off the handle and go for broke. It is gonna be a great fight the 2nd time around.

by Dana's a CrossDresser on Oct 30, 2009 4:58 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
can’t be. They’re gonna have to fight like 2 more contenders before facin’ a top dog like SHogun.
But if you’re sayin’ that Shogun needs a tune-up before the Lyoto rematch, then I would have to agree with you hatteras.
by The Negation on Oct 31, 2009 8:31 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
so who gets the winner of machida/shogun 2? would it be the winner of shad/silva?
who do u guys think should be the clear cut number 1 contender to face the winner of the rematch?
i kinda see the winner of shad/silva facing shogun whether gun wins or loses…at this point seeing machida fight either one of these guys again just seems pointless…
but seeing shogun vs rashad or shogun vs silva is a great fucking title fight….
but other than these 2 all i can think of is vera if he beats randy….
by HellaHectic on Oct 30, 2009 5:28 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
What a POS.
UFC is going backwards at this point.
How desperate are you when you have to put Tito and Forrest as the main card?…Then charge $50 bucks for it?
Dana – You should apologize and then give it away for free.
I predict worst PPV numbers ever.

Hello from Spain guys… I will never pay that much for this main event. This is garbage… I will see the fights the day after, for sure, but free. I hope Forrest win, I hate Tito.
Regarding Machida vs Shogun I think that sometimes judgement is biased, however I agree with the idea “to be the champ you have to beat the champ”. Shogun did not do that. I dont think that for a couple of low kicks someone deservs be the champ. However Shogun did a great job cuting machida movement and room, not enough. I want to see the remach, is going to be awesome.
by Rembukai on Oct 30, 2009 7:39 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
ok we can bitch and cry over this forever , but the fact remains machida is 16-0 and has the belt!! My first thought was WTF they gave machida A UD???? but in all reality machida did just as much in that fight, he counter the leg kicks with jabs to the face almost every exchange, stuffed every takedown , landed some knees and has a flurry at the end of 3.
if you sit back and watch with an unbiased opinion focusing on machida you can see that the first 3 can be given to him , do the same for shogun and you could argue the same thing that he could have taken the first 3 rounds. it was a close fight in terms of “points” as for damage done yeah shogun did more but that’s not what fights are judged by they are judged by points, and round by round not overall. The rematch will definatly clear all this up, if shogun wins , look at it as he defended his belt, if machida wins look at it as he won it back
get over 104 already!!
As for tito talking crap about machida, all i can say is hahahaha did you land 5 strikes????
by TheDragon on Oct 30, 2009 7:56 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
Clowns….
This is a huge draw…tons of tito fans/haters. Tons of Forrest fans/haters. The UFC absolutely is a winner on this one…i’d pay $100 for it. Also…a lot of times the ppv’s that have big names end up being half ass great as the ones with smaller named guys trying to prove themselves.
Not to mention…we get 105 a week before…for free. So if you’re a real fan of mma…and want to see the sport grow…stop whining..get 10 guys together…and each fork out 5 dollars to find out
A. If Tito can give 100% for 3 rounds…B. If Forrest will tear up like he did after jardine killed him. C. If Forrest will run out of the ring crying…he will for sure if Tito over whelmes him in the 1st round again…different forrest…healthy Tito. Should be interresting.

The show is not really an MMA show, it’s just a UFC show. 25 minutes of “Dana White said this” and “Dana White said that”…then 5 minutes of “oh, there are some other events happening this week…let’s get Dana’s response…..”

True to some extent but isn’t the UFC “THE” organization that has arguably the best talent pool under contract? So why not follow them and why not have them work with you?

If tito gets in the cage with Machida again i dont think he will last 2 rounds. Tito totally dosn’t understand the ART of martial arts and him dissing Machida’s superior style like that just shows how far he has to go and how little he really knows about fighting.
