Kenny and Rashad are 2 fighters who have no ties with Shogun and who weren’t listening to Rogan…Both scored for Shogun

I know, I keep bringing it up and bitching about it in every thread, but every time I hit refresh on the Fight Finder it still says Lyoto won, WTF.
I guess I need to complain more.

cause its not like Lyoto KO’d Rashad or anything…

Scored it the same as Kenny. I haven’t heard any fighter say Machida won.

His best friend said he won. I’m sure Ninja says Shogun won. Counting Silva is a little unfair I’d think.

And the list of people continues to grow, people that saw what really happened on 104. How many more must speak up before all the fools in denial admit that SHOGUN BEAT THE DRAGON!!!SHOGUN GOT SCREWED!!!

Andy’s wrong but they’re best mates, good point by Amos it’s like Ninja backing Shogun, no surprise at all if anything I’d be shocked to see Andy say that he lost. I had it as 49-46 to Shogun and I was one of Lyoto’s most vocal supporters on this site so I feel that my scoring was fair, as a Machida fan I want to see him perform a lot better in the rematch as he won’t get a lucky decision again.

Agreed. Wasn’t even close. The double the strikes stat says it all. If your theory is that Machida hit him “harder” Shogun must have some super genetics that fend off visual damage, and Machida must have the opposite as those “grazing” kicks sure gave the illusion that he was pretty damaged. Ugh…

Except that Rashad lost to Machida badly and would rather face Shogun for the belt. It was a close fight and for once we will see it again to settle the score.

I think it’s interesting that Rashad says to watch the fight without the audio…hmmmmm. I guess Rogan’s not going to his house for dinner any time soon.

i think he is trying to get people to realize that the audio excuse is crap. watch the fight any way you want, shogun won that fight easy.

Shogun won the fight and was flat out robbed. Plain and SIMPLE. There is no way Sherdog, MMA Mania, Bloody Elbow, MMA Junkie, Fightlinker, Fight Metric, ESPN and whoever else scoring the in favor of Mr. Rua can be wrong. Impossible, well, according to the Judges they are but…
If you picked Machida…I’m sorry, you are wrong.
This rematch can’t come quick enough but we’ll have to wait until at least January.
It’s funny, my friend bet me a beer that Machida would win. I just happened to buy a round as the 5th round was ending. I gave him his beer before the verdict was read and he goes, “Naw, Naw…Shogun clearly won that fight; I owe you.”
Well…we all know what happened next. I can’t help but think I jinxed Shogun. Cheers!!!

why didnt they give credit to shogun for the one takedown he did have? he clearly took him down, i beleive the 2nd or 3rd cant remeber. But machida got up real quick. IT was clearly a takedown. Also, in that flurry that suppsoedly Machida went on in the end of the third, if you look closely, Shogun was the one that rocekd machida with a right hand. Machida was clearly rocked cuz he fell into Shoguns chest!!!!

shogun never got a takedown machida slipped once untouched and at the end of the third machida kicked shogun in the gut punched him in the head had two morw blocked and then was hit once by shogun.

anyone else notice during the commercial for UFC 105, it said to watch it here “only on ESPN”? hey Mania/Jesse, any confirmation?
there was about 15:35 in time left for the video when i saw it

It’s fine to analyze and talk about Machida/Shogun but seriously give it a rest with the crying. There’s going to be a rematch anyways and i’m sure there will be a more clearly defined winner. ok shogun fanboys?? good, now just enjoy the show.

The one good thing about it all is that both these guys get loads of publicity which they both need in the states and europe…yes shogun prob did take it but its not like its the worst decision to have been made in the sport, far from it!!
I like both guys and it makes for an interesting rematch, whatever happens im sure there will be a 3rd fight!!

Fedor over Arona was worst decision ever followed by Bisping vs Hamil. This is more along the Rampage vs Griffin fight.

I watched the machida shogun fight again and i think the commentary was terrible and one sided in shogun’s favor. Machida won this fight yea it was close one but he landed the harder shots and had shogun in trouble more.

come on guys… do you remember the couture/rizzo 1? i mean… that was a really close fight and we all know what happened… so lets see the rematch and we will see the real champion…
;D!!!

I guess everyone views the fight differently. If shogun mixed his striking up more with punches he would have won but he didnt and he only caught machida 2 or 3 times with punches and every kick shogun landed he was countered by machida. All I have to say is if shogun uses the same strategy in the rematch (which he said he will) machida will be looking for it and will capitalize.
This fight is like a blessing in disguise for machida because now he knows what he has to fix in his gameplan and there wasnt much to fix anyway so thanks shogun for that. The next time we see lyoto fight its going to be a whole different dragon.
