Maybe DW is tired of all of the whining?

So they cut dudes without seeing them strike at all? Lame.
by hatteras on Oct 29, 2009 9:20 AM EDT reply actions 0 recs
IMO the basics of striking are waaay easier to teach than the basics of grappling…this might be some foreshadowing into who the coaches are…

i dont know tho i train with a mate whos striking is excellent and iv tried and tried to get as good wioth my kicks as him but i cant lol we are both even on the ground tho lol

not sayin its easy…the basics of striking are “easier” to understand as its all in the footwork….grappling (in my experience) involves more moving parts and is harder to pick up without previous experience.

Dude with the crazy flips looks entertaining!

Ahh, that’s Capoeira and while it looks pretty – it’s shit for MMA in general… Can always stick the odd flashy move in with a more solid style for a base mind you :)

i think hes mixing his capoeira with BJJ cause he was doing some crazy ass passes to good positions, seems like hes integrating it well

That old man (I’m afraid to say his name and end up getting it wrong) is so-o cool. Someone I would definitely like to meet. No surprise he works with with Big Nog. Good video!

I can’t see the video, what weight will this be held at? I would want to see welterweights or middleweights…those divisions need new contenders for the title.

You don’t need to see the video to read that 4 out of the simple 17 words they wrote on this threads caption were “middleweight and light heavyweight.”

Oh lol,i didn’t read it properly. Saw the title and came straight to comments. And thanks x

I would like to see them take raw talent like…
Olympic level Wrestlers, Boxers and Judo guys and toss em in a house…
Say 20 guys with 4 coaches/teams. Then spin a wheel to see who fights off. Maybe have 4 top guys coach and the two coaches who have thier two guys make the finals scrap for title shot.
Imagine Hughs/Karo/Fitch/Serra all coaching…
Wicked……………….

So sick of tuf. MMA evolves, tuf has not. Get rid of the house, set up a state of the art training center. Bring in 20 of the elite up and comers. Lets see how they train, how they live, and bring in the title holders to mentor them. They fight, winner gets a contract.

I heard Southworth was at the try outs, anyone think he has a shot at getting on the show?
by markie on Oct 29, 2009 11:47 AM EDT reply actions 0 recs
He was such a douche on the first season, I really hope not. Remember him cutting weight with Kos and the Iceman?
by Ron Konkoma on Oct 29, 2009 11:50 AM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
Southworth wouldn’t even have to tryout imo…he’s def under-rated these days

This is getting so piss poor I hope Dana has been reading these like they did to yank that hendo ace rematch.
No one is pleased with the ’let’s throw d list celebs on the show’ idea. Its supposed to be for rising talents and fresh faces in the UFC for down the road.
Not,‘well junie is entertaining’, or ‘well he did fight on youtube’, or ‘well they played in nfl’(sorta).
Most deserving and earned get on the show. What a concept

They need to do a much better job this next season getting some talent on the show. This HW version has been lame and it’s pretty annoying knowing Dana was touting it as some of their best work. The best thing on the show so far is Rampage beating the door down. If the next season is anything like this, I’ll stop watching TUF. There’s just too much of a difference between the so called fighters on the show and the real UFC fighters. There’s got to be better talent out there.

I wonder what Dana has in plan for the coaches. The main thing that sucks is the amount of fighters who need english translators, so they’re automatically out of the option of being coaches on the show.
