Yee! im this video at 3:55-4:02 ish, im in the black bleeding through shirt and black cap. its awesome how u can roll up and just ask for tix. Though im kinda pissed so many are on craiglist/ebay.
One lady was asking guys if they were “one of the wrestlers” i wanted to call her out for just getting tickets to sell.

theres plenty still on the market right now for about half of face value, sales have been slipping for these events… i have never been to one but id guess its because people are sick of paying $100+ to sit in nosebleeds and cant even tell what the heck is going on in the cage…

Scary thing is they got record breaking sales for 105 despite charging the same prices in a huge arena for a glorified Fight Night with the best fights announced after the majority of people had already bought their tickets. If I could afford it I’d love to go to 104 that is a proper card with a dream fight as a main event.

i sat 2 rows from the back wall at the air canada centre before, and i sat in nose bleeds at a baseball game, and you can very very easily see what is going on…they are probably even better seats, because you are looking down into the cage, instead of looking straight into it…just my opinion…

I’m not talking about the ticket giveaways, I’m referring to the taping of the “good deeds” and posting the vid on the internet. It ain’t a good deed if you brag about doing it.

wow you need the grammar swat team sicked on you! the police cant handle all that! heres how your sentence should look: “yes these tickets aren’t selling well. when hughes fought gracie here at the staples center the same thing happened. I got hooked up with a free ticket.”

Buahahaha foxy! I chuckled. You tell em! ;)
And as i’ve said before & will continue to take the flack for, dana is doing more damage for UFC now then he is good. His hunger was undeniably what got them there. And his fight everyone in his way verbally, attitude worked quite well in the market of old, & his climb up. But now as a big boy, he still hasn’t learned to adapt to a true businessman. Sorry that makes so many upset. He just needs a lil tweaking.

you would think that the “grammar swat team” would know how to use commas.

I dont get it… does he actually think people halfway across the country are gonna fly to LA because they got a free $75 ticket? If you can afford to fly to LA your not gonna be worried about getting a ticket..??(im talking about when he was giving them out in NY)
by Mike on Oct 21, 2009 7:10 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
I’m sure the company can write those tickets off, but he doesn’t have to do it. I’m quickly becoming a fan of “DW” in his case, the good outweighs the bad.
In response to Mike.Just the fact that they got free tickets gives them an incentive to travel to L.A. DW is stimulating the economy, some people just want free stuff and meet him, so much that they’ll fly and spend more money to get the tickets. I’m sure the UFC can afford to buy all their own 75 and below tickets and give them away. Among many things it boosts other sales and brand image.

I am a big DW fan too I just know if I lived in NY and got a ticket I wouldnt fly all the way to LA, unplanned, cuz I would save $75
by Mike on Oct 21, 2009 7:45 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
No shit if I could get the time off I would be there regardless but for some reason they have trouble selling there and thats why its been so long having the Angels with a possible game that day the Raiders playing the Jets LA is spending it’s money on the traditional sports hopefully the Dodgers out now will sell some tickets but Saturday at this time of year is usually spent watching baseball and Football in the big cities.

I thought Dana was going to sign Verne Troyer, that’s a good comeback fight for Chuck right there.

say what you want, but Dana is giving out thousands of tickets free to fans via Twitter. To me that says a lot. He may not make all the right decisions, but at least he is trying to keep the fan in mind. Keep it rolling Dana!

Giving stuff away is always good…showboating about it isn’t.
