UFC 105: Ross Pearson ready to fulfill his dream on Nov. 14

Quoteworthy:
"This is the moment I've been waiting for since I first started watching my old UFC DVDs, dreaming of one day competing in the Octagon. I sometimes watch the early UFC events in between training sessions and it's crazy to think I'm now a part of this thing. I'm no longer just a fan of the UFC; I'm one of the competitors. I'm anxious, nervous and excited to finally get this chance. It is everything I've ever worked towards in my life and on November 14 I'll finally get my chance to do it. This is just the start of my journey..."
The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) Season 9 lightweight winner Ross Pearson anticipates making his second appearance inside the Octagon when he takes on Aaron Riley at UFC 105 from the Manchester Evening News (MEN) Arena in Manchester, England, on Nov. 14. Pearson bulldozed his way through A.J. Wenn, Richie Whitson, and Jason Dent to eventually capture the TUF crown by besting Andre Winner via unanimous decision at the June 20 Finale earlier this year. "The Real Deal" is a scrappy 155-pounder with plenty of heart — and could find himself the topic of conversation among the division's elite with a convincing win over the venerable Riley.

One of the better fights on the card, Riley will be a difficult opponent so it’ll be interesting to see how Ross matches up to him. After him and Andre cancelled each other out in the finale I’m hoping that both of them can prove themselves next month, a win over Riley would make a big statement so good luck to Ross.

It’s a bit early to be fighting Riley, but I think Ross is game enough to pull off a win here. If he does, it’ll be a huge win so… go Ross!

Aaron also looked way bigger than he ever has and hes working with Jackson. Too much for Pearson. BTW, by looking at him maybe he should consider dropping to 145.

Ross could be good but I think I see another Mac Danzig in the making. Good but not UFC good. I hope not.

If he wins I hope its not a snoozer like the finale. Someone tell him its a spectator sport

Ross, you were one of my favs on the show. I’m a fan and wish you the best. Just remember to make a boat load of money selling/sponsoring stuff either here or back in the UK. Fighting doesn’t have a seniors tour. And there aren’t any easy weight classes. Get working on your grappling asap.
