Agreed. I hope us U.S. Americans can keep this trend going. The guy puts on exciting fights and it’d be a shame to lose him just because he doesn’t always win.

On a side note his face looks a lot better/normal. Wonder if his eyebrows will ever grow back? Wand, you need to knock this dude out quick so he doesn’t mess up your healing process!

I disagree, just because he is not a title contender does not mean he is done. He could still get better as well wit the right training. I would also like to see him and Anderson scrap it out, yes I know that the outcome would not probably go in Wands favor but I would still like to see it.

U guys r morons, even in a loss he shows that he can still compete and more importantly have an exciting fight!!. He dropped Chuck Lidell Knocked out Jardin and almost Knocked out Franklin and that fight could of went either way Franklin. And Losing to Rampage Jackson is not the worst thing that could happen after all he was a NUMBER 1 contender. So all u Wanderlei haters can hold off for a while he aint goin no where and can still fight. Atleast he’s not getting knocked out by everybody like CHUCK HAS

Why the hate on Chuck? They were both kings at the same time for different orgs. The fight they had together was epic, and my personal favorite. It was a great fight by both, but Chuck was the winner unanimously. Chuck is older, and is well past his prime. Wand is younger and very exciting, but he still needs to win. I am hoping he gets it against Akiyama.

Agree… its one thing to lose 3-4 in row and still be in your prime but going down the Shamrock road should be above Wandy and the UFC…Wandy is getting knocked out bad in this fight

Wandy takes this one via KO. I think we all saw fro the Belcher fight that Akiyama is better suited at 170. Yoshi is a great fighter but I don’t see his speed and ferocity matching Wandy’s when they meet in Oz.

If the cut to 185 goes smooth for wand then he will KO the crap out of akiyama. I don’t see how anyone could think wand is done. On paper it looks bad but anyone who has seen the actual fights knows he still has it.

Man, Wand needs to start using his ground game in fights. Love the guy but i think he definatly needs to start using his highly under rated ground skills. Noone would see it coming. Its great he wants to put on exciting fights for the fans but as a fan of his (fave fighter) i would probably jump out my seat higher if he took the guy down and subbed him.
