I would rather see old people jogging naked than Junie Browning fighting.
by peazy on Oct 14, 2009 7:48 AM EDT reply actions
i would rather stare at the sun for an hour than to see him help an old lady cross the street.
by real mma on Oct 14, 2009 8:09 AM EDT up reply actions
I would rather jog with old naked people than see him fight again .. this is a last ditch effort to extend his 15 min. Although i wouldnt mind seeing him fight that dude from jon and kate plus eight .. or maybe her, i bet she would take him.

I’d rather run backwards naked thru a cornfield then watch this guy fight

Why am I even thinking of commenting on this cat?
by neeko on Oct 14, 2009 8:05 AM EDT reply actions
Nice to see he’s still got he’s UFC T shirt on. Perhaps they will take him back now just for wearing it in his whining little video!

message to peazy: we get it. you don’t like junie browing. and continuing to comment on this thread isn’t making you any cooler.

Junie, You do have some problems and it’s all you. YOU made a choice to disrespect MMA and MMA fighters. I hope the feeling of the door hitting you on your ass is a wake up call to clean up your life.BUT in the meantime, DO NOT DISRESPECT MMA AND CALL YOURSELF A MMA FIGHTER!.

I like how he’s wearing a ufc shirt, guess he’s hoping to be taken back. its too bad elite xc isnt still around b/c they would sign him today, imagine him and $kala together. Junie, should not be in fighting period, no commission should ever sanction him. Just work on trying to be normal man, dont worry about fighting.

15 minutes of fame is great, if that’s something you really want! But this guy used his 15 minutes to show the whole world what an idiot he is! As far as I’m concerned, his time has been up for a while now! Appology NOT accepted, Junie!

Junie is my hero/idol. This video truly touched my heart and made me shed many tears. This man was more entertaining to watch fight than Anderson Silva. The UFC messed up badly by kicking this badass fighter out.
by Poop-stain on Oct 14, 2009 10:11 AM EDT reply actions
I’ll take the high road and say best of luck to you Junie in figuring out your problems and getting them dealt with. I’m sure 99.9% of the idiots on the internet will act like their shit doesn’t stink and kick you while you’re down, but we all know different…they’re shit stinks too.
To all you tools that are kicking the guy while he’s down based on his “poor representation of the UFC”…leave the UFC representation decisions up to the UFC and show some class. Nobody gives a shit what you think is the best way to represent the UFC, including the UFC, otherwise you’d be on their payroll….which you aren’t.
I’ve never been a Junie fan (I’m some of you will recall my posts about he and Dana’s love affair during his stint on the TUF show), but like I said above, some things are bigger than the sport. If he fought tomorrow, I’d probably cheer for the other guy, but that’s ‘the sport’…as far as his recovery from whatever it is he’s dealing with ‘in life’…I wish him well.
Something to think about classless people…
If you all are worried about the “representation of the sport”, and you are all fans of the sport, and all you can do is kick a man while he’s down…how are YOU representing the sport from a fans perspective? Sounds like Bob Arum was on to something after all, eh?
Grow up.

That is a good post introvert. I respect that alot. I totally agree with you as well. Whether someone is a dumbass or not, they still deserve a certain level of respect when they are trying to man up with the bad decisions they have made.
I, too, wont be planning on rooting for Junie anytime soon, but I do hope he gets better and things start turning around.
by enzo-enormous on Oct 14, 2009 11:04 AM EDT up reply actions
While I don’t quite feel your emotion introvert, I agree. I think it was a fairly decent apology with no excuses, and he’s young and I hope he gets the right mental help and matures.
by DAVE A on Oct 14, 2009 2:55 PM EDT up reply actions
Yeah and if we were all in here praising his efforts and saying he is a good guy Intro would have went the other way. Intro only does the opposite of what everyone else says. You know you don’t feel this way, none of your opinions are truly your opinions, you just like to go against the grain no matter the subject.

I have no respect for drug addicted thugs who attack those trying to help them regardless of their profession. It doesn’t matter if you’re unemployed living in an estate or a mixed martial artist, if you behave like that then I will view you as a scumbag. Junie needs to stop making excuses and take responsibility for his actions, I don’t sympathise for anyone who acts like a thug and breaks the law then blames their problems on others.
The only people I sympathise for in this situation are those poor nurses who were attacked and threatened with sickening insults by a psycho they were trying to save the life of. I bet they got paid a lot less in a year than he did just for that Kaplan fight, yet people actually feel sorry for that idiot. He’s had numerous chances to make a good living and blew everyone, so sod him I couldn’t give a toss about what he does with his career or life.
by David W-S on Oct 14, 2009 2:35 PM EDT up reply actions
Sounds like he is taking responsibility. I didn’t hear any excuses.
So, let’s say someone else (not Junie) pulled the same stunt, but straightened out. What exactly do you expect them to do to earn your forgiveness (not that he or anyone else is asking for it)?
Have some grace, dude….your shit stinks too.

Joey Barton, a Newcastle United player, said all of the same things as Junie, after being arrested for beating up one of his teammates and our club were stupid enough to sign him. 4 months later he was arrested for attacking some teenagers outside of McDonalds after a night out in Liverpool. Like Browning he is talented but still a scumbag from a horrible family (his brother killed a young black boy in a racially motivated attack) and he keeps getting second chances. Neither of these men will ever be decent people, they are a couple of thugs who should be in prison but for the fact that they are famous. I don’t have any sympathy for thugs like that whether they are famous or not.
I don’t want Junie to say sorry, I want him to pay for his crimes just as anyone else would if they took drugs then attacked 3 nurses. If I did the same thing then I wouldn’t expect any sympathy because those actions are inexcusable.
by David W-S on Oct 14, 2009 8:39 PM EDT up reply actions
I’m sure he will get punished in one way or another, and deservedly so.
There are a million examples that everyone can throw around about bad people in similar situations, but there are also some people like this that come out of it better people…I guess I like to think that this kid may be one of the latter.
by introvert on Oct 15, 2009 9:56 AM EDT up reply actions
I am sorry but what is he apologizing for?
by MMA-warrior on Oct 14, 2009 10:38 AM EDT reply actions
He tried to commit suicide and punched some nurses or something like that. There is a post about it a few days back.
by enzo-enormous on Oct 14, 2009 11:05 AM EDT up reply actions
He got drunk or drugged up (not sure which…probably both) and got physical with some hospital staff.
by introvert on Oct 14, 2009 11:07 AM EDT up reply actions
And playing the ‘do you know who I am’ card right before threatening to rape and kill their families.
by PW on Oct 14, 2009 11:10 AM EDT up reply actions
Sorry, But this guy never had fighting skills to begin with. He needs anger management. Kind of reminds me of Mike Tyson with the crazy shit he does. Only Tyson had MAD BOXING/FIGHTING SKILLS and is truly a changed and humble person now! But, Junie has NO SKILLS AT ALL and is an idiot. I hope he gets his life together, but as far has the UFC or MMA goes this guy is done before he ever got started which I think is a good thing for the fans!

“I hope he gets his life together, but as far has the UFC or MMA goes this guy is done before he ever got started which I think is a good thing for the fans!”
I’d agree with this, except for the ‘good thing for the fans’ part. Not sure what difference it makes for the fans whether he fights or not. You don’t want to watch him fight, don’t…that hasn’t changed.
by introvert on Oct 14, 2009 11:10 AM EDT up reply actions
Not sure what your point is “Introvert”? And i really don’t care. Junie sucks and has ZERO skills was my point. ENOUGH SAID!
by nicky on Oct 14, 2009 11:35 AM EDT up reply actions
Then don’t watch him…that’s my point.
If you thought he sucked, then he sucked before this incedent and shouldn’t have watched him then either.
Hell, I agreed with you, nicky…what’s the deal? lol.

They should make him fight Brock Lesnar to get his job back.

Anyone here a fan of Junie?
His “Do you know who I am?” comment shows just how important this dip stick thinks he is.

True. Everybody loves Rampage, right? I know Rampage didn’t go as far as Junie, but dude has problems as well, and most people don’t care as long as he keeps knocking people out.

And Rampage didn’t threaten to rape anyones’ family as far as I know.
