My hope is that some of you anti-anything other than UFC guys will watch the Aoki and Hansen fight, because in my opinion there are no UFC fighters other than BJ Penn that wouldl beat either of these two guys.

introvert you have to be kidding… there are at least 5 guys in the ufc that could beat both of those guys on any day. Please just tell me how you would think aoki would beat sherk? just to name one

Sherk would walk right into a sub from Aiki. Aoki is on another level BJJ wise than anyone in the UFC LW division. Just because Sherk seems like he can’t be subbed, doesn’t mean Aoki couldn’t do it.

Aoki seems to be another guy who is getting lost in the past of MMA. He’s got great skills in one area of MMA, but you need skills in all areas. I think that Hansen has a better chance at using his skills to defend Aoki’s take-downs and beat the hell out of him on his feet.

Imo Maynard, Huerta, Diego, and Kenflo could and probably would beat either aoki or Hanson…Huerta is iffy but I’m pretty sure about the other 3…they are to big and strong for Aoki

Except for Diego none of those guys have to grappling games to contend with aoki or hansen. Even florian with his black belt. Hell even sherk would get caught like when he dove into hermes’ guillotine. It’s just his phenomenal cardio that saved him. Elbows might change the game but i still would go with those two.

did anyone pay attention to the weights. aoki weighed 153 and hansen weighed a whopping 150lbs. these guys are too small for the ufc’s lw’s. they would fare better against the wec’s fw’s.

nNR: I agree! I honestly think that if you take BJ out of the equation, either Hellboy or Aoki are capable of winning the UFC LW title! Can guys like Maynard, tyson,sherk,Florian and Diego beat them? Absolutely! Im not saying that Hellboy and Aoki would wipe the division clean, but they are more then capabe of beating anyone in the UFC with the exception of BJ…and in my eyes, they would be favored against most!

I would love to see Diego vs. Hellboy!

BTW, what is up with putting the two smallest guys with the two biggest guys in the “Hulk” tourney? I think Sapp shoud get beat by Soko, his skill is not there and cardio is worse than Soko’s.
