Dancing with the Stars 2009: Chuck Liddell set for Episode 3 tonight (Oct. 5)

It seems that ABC -- much like the UFC -- will have a hard time getting Chuck Liddell to ride off quietly into the sunset.
The former UFC light heavyweight champion and his professional dance partner, Anna Trebunskaya, will once again boogie their way into our living rooms on this season of "Dancing with the Stars" tonight (Oct. 5) at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
He and his Russian counterpart survived week two courtesy of his "angry man" tango. He also had a little help from fellow contestant Kathy Ireland, who clomped around the stage with all the grace and fluidity of an ED-209.
The former model -- whose footwork resembled Fred Flintstone trying to get his car out of first gear -- tied the robotic Tom DeLay for last place in the judge's voting and simply did not impress the viewers at home enough to warrant another week of dancing.
Regardless, Liddell is on ABC this evening and he needs our help to stay there and survive the 16-person "celebrity" dance-off.
Remember that you can call (800) 868-3402 during the show and up to 30 minutes following its conclusion to vote for the "Iceman." You can also vote online at the DWTS official Web site right here.
(Note: You can vote up to eight times per phone line.)
In the meantime, go ahead and sound off in the comments section before, during and after the big event. Good, bad or indifferent — we want to hear from you.

Is there any chance that Chuck’s super-hot red-headed dance partner has her pants fall off at some point? On the show, I mean, not just during a rehearsal break with Chuckie.

I watch the show long enough to laugh at Chuck dancing, then I stop watching and go vote for him. He cracks me up trying to dance. We’ll see how long we can keep Chuck on the show…hopefully at least a few more weeks.

I gotta say, I’m watching this show now. It seems like the UFC/ABC cross promotion thing is working. LOL!

hahaha!!! Who’d have thought that DWTS was trying to lock up the MMA demographic.

From what I heard, after careful consideration, ABC chose to go with the UFC and not M1 Global for obvious promotion ending reasons!

I guess no one wants to watch “M-1 Global presents Dancing with the Stars.”

I don’t care to watch Chuck fight anymore, ever since everyone has his number. And, I can’t stand to see him shuffle stiffly around the dance floor like frankenstien. Shameful.

lol, Yeah poor Chuck.
The guy is the highest paid fighter in MMA history.
I agree the guys making 5k a fight is BS, but Chuck Lidell is worth multi millions!

Andy would be awesome on this show, he’d be great on the Brazilian version when he retires and would actually have a decent shot at winning, the guy is really charismatic and has shown off great dance moves. Rather than a hopeless dancer people feel sorry for a la Chuck and Calzaghe, he’d be a genuine threat to win the whole thing with his dancing and personality.
I’d watch this series over here but they put it on at the same time as Flashforward plus we get it a week after the US showing and most of Chuck’s dances have made it onto youtube anyway. Hopefully he can get pretty far in the competition, even though he has no hope at winning.

Anderson would be a natural. He was a natural dancing Michael Jackson moves.
