HOw many times must he get married anyway?
Plus I didn’t know that divorce was allowed for Greek Orthodox Catholics[I’m assumin’ based on the looks of the ceremony], but what do I know, I’m a Neo-Pagan!
And who’s the 1st wife? Is she hotter?! Hehehe!

This marriage will have problems too. Vadim Finkelstein has a contract where he can give her anal every other thursday. She also had to have M-1 Global tattooed just above her crotch.

“greek orthodox catholics”?? none of those words are right… its russian orthodox and there is no “catholicism” in there.

by Rampage woooooo on Oct 5, 2009 12:45 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Ya, thanks Rampage, I was trippin’ on that one too! Orthodox haven’t been Catholic (and visa versa) since the days of the Byzantine Empire…and that was back before Randy Couture’s first wedding. And as far as I know, Russians have never been Greek.

But like the man said, he’s entitled to his ignorance cause he’s a Neo-pagan (pagans who worship Keanu Reeves).

and don’t forget Frank Shamrock. He was a freakin wrecking ball till he got married. He was the only UFC champion to retire undefeated and then he came back to MMA in the minor leagues losing to guys that he would’ve dominated when he was single.

Looks like everyone there is attending a funeral. Why so serious? I worry that Fedor is getting Cro Cop syndrome. He’ll be thinking about fishing while stepping into the cage. While Rogers is only thinking about annihilation.

Fedrov dominant?

I guess if you think that Crocop was also dominant until…. he came to the UFC.

UFC = reality

UFC = guys training really hard / really athletic / really hungry

Guys Fedrov has fought = mma guys / guys who like to fight / guys who used to be great but most of which get owned today

Do yourself a favour and start watching MMA. Old or new, Ufc or not, their is so much good stuff out there. Dont miss out with the attitude that if its not UFC its not worth watching.

by torresisawarrior on Oct 4, 2009 11:50 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Agreed….Fedor is the best, he always finds a way to win= Randleman, AA and Fugita(wrong spelling)his legacy is in tact with a win or not against Rogers.

by Robert(1) on Oct 5, 2009 8:38 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

But MMA is all about the present and future. I think Fedor was king for sure, but to be king again he needs to step up his game again. You can’t hold onto a crown based on past glory.

Sorry the Fights with AA and Timmy were well pass their best so they don’t count. F**k what the rankings say.

My fingers are crossed he gets these 3 pointless fights at Strikeforce out the way then signs up to the UFC to fight Lesner, Carwin, Dos Santos, Mir, Gonzaga, Kimbo…….. sorry that last one was for fun. Its not about the UFC its about fighting the best at PRESENT which are the guys above and sorry to say they live in the UFC. Then go get married a couple more times and/or push M1 after, retire happy in the knowledge your job is done.

MMA is always moving forward and if Fedor doesn’t do this he will be left behind and forgotten rather then being remembered for being one of the worlds most skilled fighters.

His current contract is padding and all fedor fans know this, Roger is the best HW they culd throw at him yet he would be 5th in line for a shot at UFC champ. He would eat Weldum and Overeem

by Dixon on Oct 5, 2009 9:45 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

lmao to anyone who thinks the UFC has the best stable of fighters. If you didn’t know this Silva and Lyoto (now considered the UFCs top two P4P fighters) didn’t originate in the UFC. Rampage who KO’d Chuck in a PRIDE tourny. Big Nog just beat Randy, Fedor KO’d Arlovski and Sylvia… when he couldn’t KO Cro Cop? I agree with Zack in that you should try peeing standing and doing a little research when you attempt to claim a fighter is a farce or that an organization is better than another organization. PRIDE fighters are just getting old, you can compare it to Chuck or Hughes passing their prime. PRIDE fighters also took a lot more beatings like getting kicked in the face and ribs while downed, that tends to wear a body out a lot quicker than elbows.

by Cogito Ergo Sum on Oct 5, 2009 9:55 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Lol, did you notice who’s gettin the next title shot? Shane Carwin—and Rogers have virtually identical records, except that I think a win over AA is more meaningful than a win over Gonzaga.

by frosnt on Oct 5, 2009 9:55 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Thank you frosnt, exactly my point… if anyone actually thinks Randy is a top hw is crazy too. The guy is an amazing fighter but if you want to not count Tims fight against Fedor why should his be counted against Randy?

by Cogito Ergo Sum on Oct 5, 2009 10:48 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Yeah, when Chuck was the UFC’s superstar and considered the most dominant fighter in any division of the UFC, he went to PRIDE to compete in the Grand Prix with Dana by his side coming to prove the UFC’s superiority. Chuck almost got KO’d in the first round of the tournament, then did get KO’d in the second round by a guy who got KO’d in the third. And that was Chucko in his prime. UFC definitely has the deepest collection of top fighters, but they’ve never held all the cards. PRIDE was better in LHW and HW, AFFLICTION had a better HW division at the time, Strikeforce has at least 1 top-10 guy in 4 different divisions, and Japan still has half of the top Lightweights.

by shonuff on Oct 5, 2009 12:01 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Right now the UFC is absolutely the best organization by FAR. How can anyone argue that? The Pride vs. UFC debate is old news, but if you want to go that route, the Pride fighters as a whole have not lived up to the hype since the buyout. Anderson has been a wrecking machine, but Rampage is the only other Pride fighter to hold a belt, and he only had one defense, and that was against another Pride fighter, who actually started in the UFC, in Hendo. Wand is one of my favorite fighters, but isn’t exactly lighting up the world. Shogun has not lived up to the hype, and Crocop is basically dead. Lyoto’s first major organization was indeed the UFC, unless you include the few fights in K-1. GSP and B.J. have always been UFC fighters.

by naturalshadow on Oct 5, 2009 12:16 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Its not up for debate but one can argue that without having all the best fighters the UFC is doing just what EXC did, just a lot better than they could. Fedor is unquestionably the best HW ever, Barnett is still a top five and Arlovski imo could take out 4/5 of the UFC HWs. Gregard Mousasi, Nick Diaz, Jake Sheilds, Mayhem, Jochaim, Aoki, Sakura, JZ, Rogers… all of these guys would be in the top ten of their weight classes if they came into the UFC, none of them are in the UFC. If you look at the rankings a ton of top fighters are in other orgs so to say the UFC is the best could be misconstrued. The UFC as a single company is the best but the fact that PRIDE, M1, Strikeforce, Affliction, DREAM could all share fighters made them much more fun and interesting imo. The only difference is none of those companies have the marketing skills of the UFC brass and none of them have TUF or a deal with CBS/SPIKE.

by Cogito Ergo Sum on Oct 5, 2009 12:54 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

first off the argument about ufc vs pride is over. they are together now so it becomes ancient history. you mention all these names of ranked guys who arent in the ufc but that usually amounts to 2 or 3 from most weight classes. thats a small percent. made even worse is the fact that being only 2 or 3 per weight class means they arent fighting as many other top 10 guys unless they only fight each other. theres the problem. not only does the ufc have the majority of the better fighters they are also fighting other top 10 guys. its like a good hockey player leaving the nhl to play in europe. if he scores 200 goals and gets 200 assists a year, is he the best player in the world?

by Egads on Oct 5, 2009 1:46 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Compare it to three of the top 10 guys (ATT) in WW not fighting each other and how the UFC manages to avoid big top 5/ top 10 fights so they don’t cut off title contenders like for the MW class… or how the LW group has no real contenders for Penn because the majority of them are one dimensional (Sherk) or overrated (Florian, Huerta). Then the we have the weak HW division. yeah looks like you got a valid point there Lou… but not really.

by Cogito Ergo Sum on Oct 5, 2009 3:03 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

agreed, I don’t think rogers gets out of the first round, like Sylvia, (has he hit the mat yet from Grandpa Ray’s right hand????) and like Arlovksi, Rogers gets clipped with a right, and then submission or gnp. done, and then he can go get a coors light and hop on his wife. :)

by damian on Oct 4, 2009 10:47 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

thats how cro cop was too, fedor needs to face the next generation of hw’s to prove himself. rogers is first on the list and i guess overeem is someone he couldve fought in pride if overeem moved up in weight earlier in his career. but back to my point fedor has to fight the rogers, the carwins, the lesnars, mirs, gonzaga’s and so forth. that way he could cement his legacy as the best of all time. even if he lost one or two of those fights it would prove that in his prime he was the best and out of his prime he still fought the best.

thats all i want from fedor

people say fedor is over rated, he may even be getting old, but when you watch how he picks his opponents apart, there is something clearly unique about him. his technique is impecable, his sambo technique/approach gives him speed that no one i’ve seen has ever matched. PLUS!!! his power behind punches!!! omg, go back and watch the time silva/fedor fight in Affliction. if that doesnt make you drop your jaw, i dont know what will.

No, he didn’t marry once again – he got married with the wife which he is already registered in the state marriage. It is church wedding ceremony, with the same wife. He didn’t do it then, since he wasn’t a believer. But Fedor has become an orthodox Christian two years ago and now he tries to follow canons of orthodox faith.

In response to the criticism that Fedor doesn’t have KO power. KO punches are the one’s you don’t see coming. I’ve heard guys say after fighting Fedor, that you can know the punch is coming but you can’t stop it and it doesn’t put you to sleep (though you wish it had) it just jars you to the core of your being and damages you deeply and psychologically. They say you can get KO’d and feel like new the next day, but when Fedor hits you, you still feel bruised and damaged weeks later.
