The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 11 open casting call from Spike TV and UFC in Los Angeles on Oct. 6

Calling all TUF guys:
Spike TV and UFC recently announced an open casting call for the next installment of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) franchise at the Renaissance Los Angeles Airport Hotel in Los Angeles, CA., on Oct. 6.
The tryouts will coincide with the UFC 104 event held over the weekend (Oct. 4).
Middleweight (185 pounds) and light heavyweight (205 pounds) hopefuls should arrive at the location between 8 and 9 a.m. PT. Registration will take place as soon as the doors open and tryouts are set to begin at 10 a.m.
UFC President Dana White is expected to oversee the tryouts with Spike TV’s senior vice president of sports and specials, Brian Diamond. No debut or possible coaching candidates for Season 11 are known at this time.
Applicants must be over the age of 21 and have a professional fight record. Dress code would be that of a normal sparring session and candidates are expected to bring the appropriate gear and equipment.

Is the requirement that contestants have a professional record a response to Amir Sadollah coming in without a pro fight and leaving as, in the words of Comic Book Guy, The Worst TUF Winner Ever.

I don’t know about all of them, but this one, right above the application download link, it says you must have a professional record.

GSP probabaly will be, especially if Loiseau is trying out. Don’t know who the opposition coach will be, probabaly the Swick-Hardy winner as that fight would need a lot of promoting for anyone to be interested as we all know it’s going to be a massacre. I’d rather see them do a TUF 2 and not have rival coaches for once, as entertaining as the rivalries are it can be disastrous in the long-run if the coaches steal the spotlight from the fighters or if the fight ends up being delayed or cancelled.

David why would Loiseau be trying out? Did I miss something? Good idea about just having two coaches who aren’t going to be fighting eachother at the end. They waste a lot of the hour with the coaches fighting eachother.

It would be the Crow’s last hope at getting into the UFC as he looked awful against Herman. I read a headline on the side of this site saying he was planning on trying out. If Wes Sims can make it onto TUF then I like Loiseau’s chances of getting a last shot but I don’t like his chances of winning the show, unless the other MWs are awful.
