This movie will bomb and Quinton will get horrible reviews. He’ll be back in the UFC fighting by 2010

I sure hope he does… I want rashad to get KTFO!

You might be right…popular TV show but remakes have been done to death lately, and have been unsuccessful for the most part…they’ve shouldve got Mel Gibson for Hannibal…my wife says they look nothing alike but I swear they’re a lot closer than she thinks

by McArthur on Sep 26, 2009 10:41 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Gibson would have rocked that role.

by MMACrossfire on Sep 27, 2009 12:00 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I agree Mel would have been ideal, but I think Liam Neeson will do well and he’s had a nose for box office sleepers of late, i.e. Taken which no one expected be a success but was a taut action thriller that did well in box office. I think this could be a good mix of entertaining action and funny characters just like the show…plus it has Jessica Biel in it.

by Captain Ernesto on Sep 27, 2009 4:00 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Mel is the shit. I hate how everyone has been on his ass lately about some old ass drunken remarks, and a young girlfriend. You can snort coke off a dead hookers ass in hollywood, and as long as you give an apalogy, it is ok.

by naturalshadow on Sep 27, 2009 5:06 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Mac, you are right, I am getting sick of all these remakes. Come up with an original movie idea and forget the shows that made money 20 years ago. Kids aren’t going to be interested in it, and most of the people who watched the show back than have better things to spend their money on.

by jay on Sep 27, 2009 11:57 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

tv show remakes stem from lack of original ideas for scripts. and we’ve all wiped with better quality things than the script for this….guaranteed.

I can see this movie tanking, then he crawls back to the ufc, and gets fed to some lions.

by Albow on Sep 26, 2009 10:43 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

i doubt the movie will bomb. your just mad that rampage ditched the rashad fight. the a-team is a show that almost every adult has watched. add with that it’s an action movie, and theres a solid cast only an idiot or a troll will think this movie will bomb. might not be the biggest movie ever but it certainly wont bomb

by Jared on Sep 26, 2009 10:44 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I dont care if he comes back or not, but mark my f-ing words THIS MOVIE WILL BOMB! I used to love the A-Team, CHIPs, Dukes of Hazzard, Knight Rider, etc, but damn if I want to go see some cheesy ass remake movie about a early 80’s tv show. If you think this move will not bomb, then you are an idiot.

by jk358 on Sep 26, 2009 11:38 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

This movie will bomb/tank whatever. I grew up with that show and it sucked then….why in the world would I shell any cash to see a 2 hour version of a 1 hour show that blew? The people that grew up with it are NOT clammering to go see it, and younger people didn’t watch it every week. Who’s this huge audience that you guys are predicting?

by chefdaddy on Sep 27, 2009 5:24 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

They have no target audience. They are hoping that star power and a show people remember will carry the project. Major Bomb written all over this thing.

by jay on Sep 27, 2009 5:29 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Yeah, I think it’ll do well. The A-Team was a popular show. As long as they don’t turn this into a campy farce, it’ll pull decent numbers. The show always had a light humorous side to it. If they overplay that in the remake so that it’s just campy, then it’ll be DOA. If they can amp up the “action” side of things more than the TV show (make it more gritty), then I think they stand a chance of having a hit on their hands. Then it’s sequel time, which may be what Rampage has been alluding to regarding future acting career. They’re probably already talking sequel.

by MMACrossfire on Sep 27, 2009 12:03 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Well dana acknowledged that the real money is gonna come when they do a sequel to the remake. Rampage hasn’t made any statements to say otherwise. So he’s already kinda set himself up for another long break even if he returns. If he loses once he returns, then he might not comeback after the sequel.

by NameNotRequired on Sep 27, 2009 12:26 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Good for you Rampage! Get that money bOY! After years of blood, sweat and tears in Pride, fighting for Peanuts, the man is making it bIG! Great for you Rampage! Make that money and when you are done, I will still be ready to fork over $45 to watch you put RaSHAD IN HIS PLACE….QUEER STREET!

by john G on Sep 27, 2009 12:39 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

for sure john, exactly how i feel

by Jared on Sep 27, 2009 3:35 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Instead of fighting for peanuts he is now making movies for peanuts. A step up I guess.

by jay on Sep 27, 2009 11:59 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

You think just because its an action movie with a “solid cast” that its bound for success? It wouldn’t the first action movie with a “solid cast” to bomb.

by Albow on Sep 27, 2009 11:38 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

i think it will do better than everyone else thinks, especially with neeson in it, as for rampage, he must be delusional if he thinks this part consisting of maybe 4 lines and the ability to pretend drive a van along with some fight scenes will enable him to crack hollywood and as he says, provide for his familly! i believe if he had truly quit then he would not be talking about rashad so much, obviously he is keeping the hype up for that fight which points to perhaps he is not so positive about where this crazy move will take him, having said that i dont think he ever knows what direction he is going in!
When this fight does take place, it will be the first and only time i will shout on rashad, due to this along with his inabilty to coach aspiring fighters properly because he wants to fuck around with his buddy tiki, along with shitty match making just to get at rashad, all of which points to page being a self centered jackass, the truth hurts to all you page fanboys!!!

by TRUTH on Sep 26, 2009 10:48 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

it doesnt matter if this movie bombs or not. rampage wont last long in hollywood because he will still do some really dumb thing that kills his image and he will back fighting for hi family again. good hands/chin or not, the guy is a brickhead. humping interviewers or killin babies with his monster truck or any other joke he will take too far lookin for a laugh from someone will kill his hollywood career.

by Egads on Sep 26, 2009 11:52 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

This is the A-team. Why would anyone make a movie with BA Barracus where he’d only have four lines?! BA Barracus, was a huge draw and a main character to the A-Team. What makes you think that the producers/directors will limit his lines just because it’s Rampage. They obviously see something you don’t. Rampage is very entertaining and comedic. Most comedians become very successful actors in case you haven’t noticed. And while I’m not saying that he will be the next Jamie Foxx, it’s crazy to think that he doesn’t stand a chance of success in movies. You’ll see that he’s a very likable person with A LOT of charisma. And I can seriously see him proving the naysayers wrong…

by miggz3000 on Sep 27, 2009 6:20 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

even if the movie bombs his pay for the movie is probably 10x your yearly salary…

by randy murders on Sep 26, 2009 11:12 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

perhaps even 20x

by TRUTH on Sep 26, 2009 11:33 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

bingo!

by UFC Champ on Sep 27, 2009 9:54 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

ok, sure. I think that’s a little off topic but whatever. The fact that he makes a lot of money says nothing about how its still going to be a bad movie and mark my word HE WILL COME BACK TO THE UFC BY 2010.

by Don "The Prophet" King on Sep 27, 2009 5:06 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Hopefully Rampage doesn’t go on a “rampage” in the helicopter, as well!

I am surprised that Liam Neeson is in it…..close enough to A-list. But not what he normally does, maybe he needs a paycheck?

by chefdaddy on Sep 27, 2009 5:27 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Sorry, guys. I like Rampage- but I couldn’t care less about this movie. Hope he has fun on the set, but I don’t wanna see his face again until it’s inside the cage.

ROAD HOUSE

by Egads on Sep 27, 2009 1:04 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Not an Action Flick Egads. Just because seeing him in tight jeans may have given you a reACTION in your pants, does not make it an ACTION flick. JK LOL.

Red Dawn was an action flick. WOLVERINES!!!

by stinky~fingers on Sep 27, 2009 2:20 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

how many hand to hand fights do you need to make it action? or do you need guns to make an action flick? and nothing was sexier than his chip n dales tryout on SNL.

by Egads on Sep 27, 2009 4:59 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

There were two sexy men in that scene. Maybe Road House was categorized as Action but it seemed to chick flicky to be remembered as such.

by jay on Sep 27, 2009 5:26 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Dude, Road House definitely qualifies as action. He was litterally ripping bad guys’ throats out! It was a typical 80’s reluctant-loner-hero-vengeance-quest movie.

Plus he did Point Break, Steel Dawn, Red Dawn, Donnie Darko, The Beast, Renegades, Black Dog, Next of Kin.
I’m not saying they were GOOD movies, but they were ACTION movies. Not to mention “The Fox and the Hound II” and “Dirty Dancing III: Kabul Kwickies”

by shonuff on Sep 27, 2009 7:42 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

He wasn’t even the sexiest dude in that skit. You have weird tastes my friend. LOL.

by shonuff on Sep 26, 2009 11:30 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

And while Rampage is busydoing that, Rashad should make an 80’s movie too. I think he’d be great as Webster, but Dana seems to have his heart set on seeing him play Isaac from The Love Boat. Who am I to argue!

by shonuff on Sep 26, 2009 11:36 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

LOL!

by MMACrossfire on Sep 27, 2009 12:04 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Mr. T did basically nothing after the A-Team. A second rate career at best comprised of cameos and one-line performances. Now he’s broke and reduced to peddling the Flavorwave Turbo Cooker on late-night infomercials. Rampage will be back in the UFC within 12 months. Bet.

by MC on Sep 26, 2009 11:42 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

flavorwave, lol, I youtube’d that – funny as hell when he bust down the door.

…and Rampage is afraid of Rashad and Machida.

by UFC Champ on Sep 27, 2009 9:58 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

shouldnt be hard for rampage to act scared. he seems to be running from fights for the last year now.

by Egads on Sep 27, 2009 1:06 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

maybe his fear of flying started during the war. the show took place after the war. and im sure he’s not afraid of rashad. maybe machida though lol

by mak on Sep 27, 2009 10:00 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

i think rampage can do a better job of ba then liem nelson could do as hannibal,mr t wasnt a good acter either. and i kinda find it funny that hes in a copter awake because he was ussaly knocked out for any flying . lets not forget woody harlalson is playing murdoc i think so that might make the movie a lot better because he is a great acterand i think that will make up for others . anyways im looking forward to see it

by sparkplug on Sep 27, 2009 11:01 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

This movie will be huge so long as it is not made into a disrespectful farse the way Dukes of Hazzard was. Dukes of Hazzard could have been a smash hit, everyone loved that show in the 80’s and the reruns on tnt did great in the 90’s. Everyone who saw that movie was disappointed because they made the characters completely different from the show. Bo and Luke were clean cut and hard working and always did the right thing but the movie made them jack ass hicks and horn balls. The only thing the same was the car. Hopefully the A-Team movie will get it right and not turn it into making fun of the A team.

by hatteras on Sep 27, 2009 1:45 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

In the A team BA was affraid to fly…this pic shows that sigh it is probably goimg to be nothing like the show. Another farse by some writers who were probably 5 years old when the show ended.

by hatteras on Sep 27, 2009 1:46 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Rampage is the man – was kicking it with him in Republic – Vancouver last night, hes enjoying it GOOD LUCK to him – regarding him fighting never say never !

This movie could be good. And i hope Rampage does come back and this is just hype for him and Rashad fight down the road. And Hatteras that pic looks like they are still in the war. How do you know that BA’s fear of flying didnt happen in the war?
