UFC welterweight contender Mike 'Quick' Swick featured on tonight's edition of Pro MMA Radio

Just days removed from the UFC 103 event that was to feature his welterweight number-one contender bout opposite Martin Kampmann, top ten 170-pound star Mike Swick will join us tonight at 9 p.m. ET on MMAmania.com’s exclusive presentation of Pro MMA Radio.

"Quick" will go in-depth about the injury that forced his withdrawal from the Dallas event, the Sept. 19 fight between "The Hitman" and his new opponent Paul "Semtex" Daley, his training at AKA and of course when we can expect to see him back inside the Octagon.

Hosted by Larry Pepe, Pro MMA Radio is professional, guest-driven program that features some of mixed martial arts biggest names.

If you’re looking for a radio show that revolves around a couple of MMA fans ranting and raving about everything that’s already been covered ad nauseam, then Pro MMA Radio probably isn’t for you.

However, if you want to hear from actual fighters and industry insiders answering questions that are relevant to the current MMA scene, tune in every Monday night at 9 p.m. ET for our exclusive live feed.

See you tonight at 9 p.m. ET!

Met Swick at UFC 103 and he couldn’t have been a cooler guy. Took photos with all the fans. But when Daley took the stage, Swick was scouting for sure. Daley looked impressive with his punching power, but often seemed wild at times. Swick is definitely more elusive than The Hitman and should present a tougher challenge for Daley.

Swick for the win!

I don’t know about Daley over Swick… Swick is just as fast and he’s got a big reach advantage…

If you haven’t seen it, check out the article about Swick in the last FIGHT magazine… Good stuff.

I hope they ask why they wont fight each other for money, but aren’t bothered by the fact when one injures the other, causing them to lose money by missing a fight.
Also, whats with these AKA morons wanting to fight a past his prime MAtt Hughes. Do they think easy wins over non-contenders should earn them title shots? Kind of sounds like Karo a few years back.

Lots of people want to see Kos and Hughes fight. Nothing to do with an easy title shot but who doesn’t want a legends name notched on their belt? Next point is Hughes is still a huge name and will get him a ton of credibility and its a safe fight for Kos. I guess it all comes down to them being smart enough to know that since they are all top competitors they can fight lesser people by avoiding fighting each other while still holding the top portion of the weight class and it also comes down to them knowing how to play the system to get easy title shots. Just wise planning on their part

A notch on your belt when a legenend is in their prime is one thing. When they are past their prime is another, kind of like when Hughes beat an older Royce Gracie. Who cares.

I completely agree that it isn’t as significant but thats the point, Kos can’t keep taking risky fights and big names plus easy wins equals nice headlines and quicker title shots. Kos can just practice his striking on Hughes. I personally would like to see it because I would root for the underdog Hughes to win, and imo I would rather see where Hughes is at in the WW division then see him lay on more Chris Lytles or Matt Serras. Kos would make him work very hard to win that fight and Hughes might even be able to give him a decent trade standing.
