Despite no date for Evans vs. Jackson, Dana White no longer on a 'Rampage' over A-Team movie

I guess UFC President Dana White pitied the fool after all.

During the post fight press conference for UFC 103 on Sept. 19 in Dallas, White confirmed that he and Quinton Jackson are on amicable terms, despite the fact that "Rampage" postponed a pending light heavyweight grudge match with Rashad Evans at UFC 107.

Jackson was cast as "B.A. Baracus" in the upcoming remake of "The A-Team," currently filming in Vancouver on a tentatively scheduled six-week commitment, effectively preventing him from being fully prepared to compete in front of his hometown crowd (Memphis) for the first time ever inside the Octagon.

White blasted the former light heavyweight champion for bailing on the bout, which was understandable considering the entire season of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 10 was built around his pending showdown with "Sugar" on December 12.

The two recently managed to put their verbal spat on the back-burner for the time being to try and figure out where they go from here. Jackson is still game, but don't expect to see him before Spring 2010.

From White:

"We kind of made up. We're going to figure it out. He wants the Rashad fight. He's in Vancouver doing this movie. It is what it is. Now we just have to figure out when. We'll see what happens. [A-Team] was supposed to be done right around December. Now he's saying that they have makeup dates and stuff like that, so he couldn't even fight in February."

With Jackson now scratched, UFC 107 will feature a main event between lightweight division champion BJ Penn defending his title against number one division contender Diego Sanchez, as well as a heavyweight showdown between former champion Frank Mir and Cheick Kongo.

Stay tuned to MMAmania.com in the coming weeks for more information and a possible date for Jackson's return to the fight game.

At least Rashad was able to finish Forrest, something Rampage couldn’t do.

John 2 weeks ago you were willing to bet your life this fight would happen before the end of January. Your word is worth about the same as all your opinions, not much. March fight date, little miss can’t be wrong.

Well now all’s said and done, I still am a li’l impatient that my boy Rampage gets to knock Evan’s as$ out later than February. that means it’s at least half a year that we get to see Rampage shut Evans’ trap!

The UFC isn’t doing a Columbus show in 2010. The WEC might be though.
