I think they made the mistake of putting these to against each other way to early. Both are in great shape and both are candidates to fight for the belt, if not now after a fight or two.
But by having them go at each other, they immediately take one of them out of the run for the belt. Kind of sad considering their both on top of their games.

People complain when two top guys have to fight each other for the right to move up the division ladder toward a title shot, but they also complain when a guy beats a bunch of nobodies to artificially inflate his record en route to a title shot? I’m not calling the two of you out personally, but the HW division is more than just AA nd Big Poopy now. It will take some impressive wins to get a title shot, unless you run your mouth like Barney Carwin.

Mirko has 19 KOs out of his 25 wins. JDS has never made it out of the first round. Neither of these two have any interest in EVER going to decision. Should be a fracken war.

cro cop will win this, why besides experience, cause junior’s striking is powerfull but not technical, a flabby werdum gets caught cause he throws a weak right hook while santos leads with an uppercut, his hands arent always high either

Cro Cop looks bigger than he has in the past, recently he looks like he’s using his hands a lot more and putting more combo’s together; he’s more experienced and more technical than Dos Santos. I like JDS but he seems like more of an aggressive brawler than a polished technical striker, and IMO unless he ends this fight early or gets a couple TD’s Cro Cop is going to pick him apart and school him.

can we please stop the whole crop cop wants to make a run at the ufc title already for godnesses sake. the guy isnt a fraction of the fighter he was. he needed an illegal eye poke to beat a can like mustafa al-turk. anyone who has size on him can beat him now b/c he is so much slower. People still dont get that the pride ring/rules are so much different than the ufc’s. Thats also partially why cro cop hasnt had success in the ufc. the octagon assists ground fighters more than the ring and crop cop has never adapted. if he was smart he would have tried to drop to lhw possibly b/c he cant hang with the strong guys at this point. lets take him for what he is now, a legend who can have fun fights against big names and a gatekeeper. he’ll never get close to the ufc title.

Wow. Not sure if you are off your meds or what booby.
Crocop won the OWGP about 4 or 5 fights ago. He is still waaaaaayyyyyyy in the mix. Just because he has had a rough patch in front of your little eyes doesn’t mean that he is done. He has never been a dirty fighter. He didn’t eye poke Al-Turk on purpose and it wasn’t his fault that the ref didn’t see it and stop it. And anyway, Al-Turk was NEVER in that fight, it was only a matter of time.
But let’s all defer to you the master of all MMA. I’m sure your assessment that he hasn’t adapted to the cage has nothing to do with the fact that he also has been battling injuries during the same time period. And have you considered that he may like to be lighter than his competition. He and his coaches probably know better than you do about his need/ability to cut weight or stay in the division. Maybe he has tried a test run at cutting weight (as that what pro’s do (not like speculating keyboard warriors) and he found the power he gives up isn’t work the weight advantage he “gives up”. But I guess you know all, oh mighty king of the octagon, keeper of all MMA knowledge.
So go back to your WWE tapes of Lesner and when you are done with your own little beatdown, try to realize that you maybe, just maybe, don’t know all of MMA. If/when he beats ANOTHER free wheeling striker, what will you say then?
So no, WE wont stop the Crocop title run talk just because YOU don’t know his abilities. And also because YOU don’t speak for all of US.

Please, he was stomping Al-Turks ass before that accidental eye poke. Give me a break. Al-Turk looked foolish against Mirko.

Cro Cop is still good. He had some bad fights but was injured. Now I think he is given the perfect victim. A man who will stand and bang but is limited to only boxing. Cro Cop will let lose on some hard leg kicks then to the body and head if he can. If Dos Santos gets inside he will use his punches and circle out of trouble. Dos Santos is like a bigger faster Rampage with a better ground game. Cro Cop is like a bigger, harder hitting Rich Franklin with better kicks. Good fight that will catipult Cro Cop or send him packing.
