I thought Cantwell did well in that fight, he clearly lost but he still did well against a great opponent in Cane who I was expecting to walk through him. As much as I dislike Cantwell I have to give him some credit for hanging in there and giving Luis a tough fight. There is no way that he should be stuck fighting the one dimensional Stann, Cantwell surpassed him a long time ago and this is a pointless fight in my opinion, Steve’s going to smash him in the first round.

Cantwell definitely surpassed Stan a while ago. its sad that we have to see such a young talented prospect like Cantwell fight a guy who will be cut in no time for a 3rd time. I cant see how Cantwell would lose this fight.

I may be the only one who noticed this, and probably the only one who cares, but it is noce to finally see a strength coach who actually looks fucking strong. I compete in a few powerlifting contests each year, and at least in my bjj, it has definately been an advantage.

I hope u guys are watching the US Open final, between Federer and Del Potro!

by RoBerto on Sep 14, 2009 8:25 PM EDT reply actions

Del Potro won, the king has arrived!!!
Cantwell is going to win this fight against Stann, he moves much better and doesn’t throw everything into every punch which is the most horrible strategy to have

by RoBerto on Sep 14, 2009 8:27 PM EDT up reply actions

Is it? I didn’t get that memo.
Oh, and by the way that strategy worked once.

by scissorfight on Sep 14, 2009 11:33 PM EDT up reply actions

what is what? yes it is, Josh Burkman, Tyson Griffin and alot of guys in the UFC do that, they’ve scored about zero knockouts!

by RoBerto on Sep 14, 2009 11:37 PM EDT up reply actions

I personally hate when fighters try to finish each other off.
And by the way dropping tennis knowledge to prove yourself about mma is the WORST strategy you can have, ever…

by scissorfight on Sep 14, 2009 11:36 PM EDT up reply actions

haha, I was telling ppl to watch a real sport.
you should try to watch some real sports sometime.

by RoBerto on Sep 14, 2009 11:39 PM EDT up reply actions

If you are watching every sport, how do you find time to actually train in one?

by naturalshadow on Sep 16, 2009 12:06 AM EDT up reply actions

Huge upset that one I couldn’t believe it, I’d never heard of Del Potro before then out of the blue he knocks out Nadal and Federer to win the US Open. So much for Murray being the next breakout star in tennis, typical overhyping from the British media. I also can’t believe Federer lost his cool like that, so unlike Roger normally the pressure never gets to him.

by David W-S on Sep 15, 2009 9:33 AM EDT up reply actions

I was so pissed about that Federer is my fav player
