lots of ppl been saying carwin has what it takes to beat lesnar, ufc 106, we’ll get to see it. This fight is like godzilla vs king kong. Even though they’re both wrestlers, I see this being a quick fight, someone is gonna get KO/TKO’ed. This fight can go either, but carwin has shown more destructive fists than Lesnar. Carwin ftw!

I admire Carwin’s attitude and lifestyle. I’d definitely prefer to have someone like him as champion over that disrespectful no-class ape that’s wearing the belt now. But I think Lesnar’s got the advantage here. Either way, I’ll be surprised if the fight makes it to Round 2.

Lesnar by ground and pound in RD 1

I’ll be very curious to see who looks stronger between Tito and Colman. Both were monsterously huge overpowering beasts in their weight classes in their day. Tito could easily have been a heavyweight and Coleman could manhandle all the other heavyweights of his day. He still looked really strong against Shogun, even when totally gassed out. But he doesn’t look his old self since he’s dropped to 205. We know Randy completely overpowered Tito, so seeing how Coleman looks against him might tell us if he could hang with Randy on the ground. They were the two most dominant wrestlers in the sport in the pre-Brock era and I’ve always wondered whether Captain America was as strong as The Hammer or just smarter and more durable.

I hope Carwin win – I like him way more than Brock…Carwin is an engineer and works full time..RESPECT!!! technique over comes power, I believe Carwin has the skill to beat Brock..

Im gonna be rooting for Carwin in this. But Brock is brock. As much as I dislike him I cant deny hes a legit champion.

Carwin has far more experience. But hes never faced a guy brocks size or someone with possibly better wrestling than him.

Then again neither has brock.

Plus Im pretty sure Carwin probably has more ko power than brock does. So who knows. We might be able to see brocks chin get legitametely tested here.

Gonna give carwin a slight advantage. Hopefully his wrestling credentials will keep the fight standing where im sure he has the edge over brock.

Carwin has experience facing bums compared to who brock has fought. Carwin doesnt have better hands. Just because he knocked out BUMS doesnt mean he can box. Brock stood up with an O.K. boxer in Randy and when he stood up with Crazy Horse he sent him rolling 20 ft with one punch. CARWIN HAS NO SHOT

“Far more experience”?!? Dude! Brock logged more cage time in the Herring fight than Carwin has in all his fights combined. True Brock has only spent a little over 30 min in the cage, but it was against some of the most experienced and accomplished HWs in the sport. Carwin has a grand total of 12 minutes experience in MMA, with only 3 of those minutes in the UFC and only 1 minute in the cage with a ranked fighter. He’s never been in a fight that lasted 3 minutes…how does that make him “experienced.” I hate Lesnar and am praying that Carwin knocks his brock off. But you can hardly count Carwin’s 44 second encounters with no-names as “experience”.

I think Brock will win by gnp in the second but I wouldnt be suprised if Carwin lands a big shot and stops Brock early. I didnt think Carwin had a chance in the Gonzaga fight and he made him sit indian style. This fight wont go past the third round. Also, Tito is gnp Coleman for three round and get the UD. I got Lil Nog by UD or submission. Cane is good but not great and Lil Nog will beat him in every aspect of the fight.

When carwin fough gonzo I don’t think he looked that much bigger, so I’m waiting to see the size up and staredown. I think brocks wrestling is supperior and rush a td to win by tko late 1st.

Carwin stands a punchers chance. Comparing Carwins wrestling to Lesnars is not a legitimate comparison. That added to the fact that Lesnar has definitely tuned his wrestling skills for MMA as shown against a BJJ black belt in Mir if the fight goes to the ground it is over. Brock has a slight reach advantage and does have power in his hands.

This issue is that Carwin is going to try to press Lesnar just as he did Gonzaga as it is the only chance he has to use his KO power. This will have him moving forward on Lesnar trying to punch which leaves him way open to Brocks shot. If he waits for Lesnar to try to keep it standing he will just end up on his back again. I was impressed with how Lesnar waited against Mir at 100. He stood and waited for Frank to move in on him then took him down. Same thing will happen here.

Anything can happen but once Carwin is on his back he is going to be in big trouble.

Carwin was hurt but not finished and al it took was one shot from Carwin to finish Gonzaga. We haven’t seen one hit KO from Lesnar. I say if they fight standing up Carwin KO’s Lesnar.

This is tough, Carwin definately has the power in his fists to knock anyone out. However, I am not 100% convinced with him. Gab got caught fair and square in the last fight but Shane also got caught and looked slow and clumsy (to start with).

The one thing Brock isn’t is slow and clumsy, he is extremely quick for a big guy, just look at his hand speed at the end against Mir. I think Brock is going to be too quick for Shane and the only chance Shane has is by catching him with a punch, and that is do-able, don’t get me wrong, but I think Brock is too clever for that.

I mean apart from Gab who has Shane fought of any worth??? Lets be fair on Brock here, the quality of his opponents have been far greater. Randy went the distance with Big Nog, but didn’t get passed the 2nd with Brock, I know, before everybody jumps on me, that you can’t compare like that, but it does show the quality of Brock.

Also, I think if it goes past the 2nd Carwin will get tired, they are some big old muscles there on his arms and they require alot of oxygen. He relies on fast knockouts and I think he will tire if he doesn’t get it.

I think Lesnar by the 3rd by stoppage. I think Carwin needs more experience.

Mir beats a very green Brock, a walking disease in Nog and then when Brock beats Mir in a rematch and people act like Brock is unbeatable? I love Randy but he has slowed down considerably so beating him was also not impressive…my point is Brock is a farce!!! Carwin wins this by knock out. Chuck did worse to Randy and Vera did worse to Mir…

i love how every1 always thinks gonzaga is a puss or somthing Gonzaga is a beast 1st of all he has tremendous standup that can destroy world class k1 strikers like crocop and he is stronger than a gorilla on the ground im sure if any1 of u felt his massive force of a ground game u would cry also if Carwin connects wit his power he can toatally take the belt just from watchin brock in his few fights if u take him out of his comfort zone and can nullify his massive size by either taking him down and using a submission or by rocking him in his jaw i think carwin could take his heart and his will it seems like once Lesnar is out of his comfort zone he gives up look at the 1st Mir fight Brock was already in postion to tap as soon as Mir took him down and u can tell from the other fightsd he doesnt like to get hit either

Carwin is pretty much a dick. In the world I live in I want a champ like Brock Lesnar. Brock is a role model in every single thing he does. Plus he will just take him down, hook his arm and pound him until he is asleep in three minutes and twenty six seconds. WAR NOT SAYING WAR ANYMORE…its stupid.

The best part about this is that all these guys coming on here saying how Carwin will beat Lesnar will be talking about how weak shane was after Lesnar beats him so they do not have to give Lesnar his props.

People are still talking about how his jaw is suspect. How he got rocked by Randy and Mir. News flash people they were both at one time the HW champ. Everyone gets rocked. If you hold that against a fighter then there are no good fighters.

Carwin could land one decent shot on Brock at he beginning and then get destroyed by Lesnar(a very possible outcome) and people will say how Lesnar got lucky. Everyone gets rocked people. If Carwin deserves a title shot after getting rocked bad by Gonza and landing one good shot then give Lesnar his props people.
