stockton in the house!~
let’s get on a guy about his video presence rather than his fighting ability.~
proper english isn’t easily learned growing up in stockton.. at least he keeps it real!~

ok, now that ive watched the video, i have no clue what you’re talking about.. nate is very understandable in this short interview clip..
by stinky~fingers on Sep 14, 2009 12:28 PM EDT up reply actions
STINK, mi compadre!!! Dont get me wrong Im a fan of Nate. He always come to fight. But when he trys to act like Nick it gets very annoying. Not that he acted like Nick on the vid, just saying.
by JV on Sep 14, 2009 12:31 PM EDT up reply actions
Stinky it is easier for him to just make a joke and read the laughs, then it is to actually watch the video and listen to what Nate has to say. I understood everything he said and he didn’t say “know what I’m sayin’” once. I hope this is a stand up fight and Nate knocks him out. I would have to pick Melvin if I were a betting man. Melvin just needs to get the title shot ideas out of his head though, cause that is not happening, hopefully.

that the thing, jv.. he’s never tried to act like nick.
if anything, im suprised how much he doesn’t act like nick..
the do have simular attributes, but so does almost everyone in stockton..
u can’t grow up in stockton and not end up with the slang that comes with growing up in a very dangerous hood..
by stinky~fingers on Sep 14, 2009 12:40 PM EDT up reply actions
jay~ imo- nate needs to keep this fight standing..
he can’t risk another loss due to points..
nate tries to hard for the sub, and waists too much time clinching, just to end up being held on the ground by a more powerful fighter..
i do think nate could easliy pull off a sub, but it’s not worth the risk when he can use his reach and tdd to keep it standing.
nates boxing is way better the melvins.. diaz should easily out strike melvin and possibly even end up with a tko..
peeps who think melvin can ko nate must be out of their focking minds!~

C-mon Stink he started acting like Nick for a while. Remember the press conference he walked out on with Nick in his ear? He hasnt gone full Nick yet, and thats why Im still a fan. I hear what your saying about “attributes” and “growing up in a very dangerous hood” but as you grow up those things should be left behind right?
by JV on Sep 14, 2009 12:50 PM EDT up reply actions
jv, u got that press conference thing twisted.. nate only left cause he knew nick was about to be in “bad terms” with the ufc..
nick was the one poppin off the mouth, so nate said he had to go and respectably exited the press conference..
as far as growing up in stockton, u will never outgrow the slang completely..
shit, i still talk the talk, and ive been out of stockton for 3 yrs..
plus nate is only 24 bro.. still young and still living in stockton..
imo- both the diaz bros have matured alot over the years..
alot of the bad attitude is fight hype or dislike.. if the diaz bros have a problem with u? u know it!~ aside from peeps that get on their nerves, they are two of the nicest peeps out of stockton, next to yours truely! :)

Stinky, I was really frustrated watching the Nate-Joe Daddy fight because Diaz didn’t use his reach advantage and keep the fight standing, thankfully he’s realised that he’s made mistakes in his last 2 fights (though I still think he won the Guida fight) and he is going to come in with a much better gameplan. I expect Nate to use his reach and outbox Melvin, picking him apart on the feet and avoiding Melvin’s big shots, before taking him down and finishing him off with a submission as Guillard has always been prone to getting submitted by BJJ specialists. Hopefully this fight will get Nate back on track and I’m confident because he is saying all of the right things, now it’s time to prove it.
As for Stockton I always think of the scruffy town next to Middlesbrough in this country. I wonder which Stockton a worse place to live in.

haha Thats exactly what he sounded like

All the Nate-Hate coming from someone that probably sounds like Bobcat Goldthwait when they speak

Now thats the very definition of jibberish.

Does anyone make less sense than Nate?
I reckon he used to choke out his English teacher
by Paul The Ham on Sep 14, 2009 12:26 PM EDT reply actions
Truth! Which is quite sad, because you can barely understand what Nate is saying either. I had an easier time understanding Brad Pitt in “Snatch” than I do Nick Diaz.

he needs to learn to open his damn mouth as much as runs it…cause nobody understand a word ur sayin..you know?
by hahaha hehehe on Sep 14, 2009 12:31 PM EDT reply actions
guillard for title shot? seriously? How does he think he’s next in line for penn… or within a year?
who’s in front? hmm… let’s see
Huerta (if he decides to stay in UFC)
Maynard (if he beats Huerta)
Edgar
Griffin
Guida
Nate (he’s ranked higher than Guillard)
Uno (siick rematch)
that’s at least 2 years worth of title fights.

by Blazy J on Sep 14, 2009 6:29 PM EDT up reply actions
I am going to make a prediction on this fight. Nate is getting brutally knocked out! Guaranteed.
by MMANIAC on Sep 14, 2009 1:44 PM EDT reply actions
I would like to see you bitches correct nates grammer in front of him. I would pick nate by rear naked choke about 5 sec after the words left your fat head.
PUT THAT IN YOUR PIPE AND SMOKE IT
by samirpamba on Sep 14, 2009 3:00 PM EDT reply actions
What .. Are we in the 5th grade? “I would like to see you say it in front of his face” .. LMAO!!
by SoCal on Sep 14, 2009 7:30 PM EDT up reply actions
Here is where your little title-fight schedule goes wrong. If Guillard fights one of those dudes, and wins, then one of them is no longer ahead of him for the title.
I say he takes Nate (like Nate, but he shouldn’t want to bang with someone as powerful as Guillard) and then fights Guida.
Also, even if Huerta stays, Guillard already beat him. I know it was called an NC, but he won that fight.
by Mahde on Sep 15, 2009 12:11 AM EDT reply actions
Melvin will win this and I been watching him for years. I know what he is capable of. Keep it up son. He only slipped against Stevenson before he lose and that was a mistake by his aggressiveness. Hold it down for the city.
by Lincoln Manor on Sep 15, 2009 2:53 AM EDT reply actions
Big fan of Diaz but cant stand Melvin. Have to admit both guys sound like they are mentally handicapped and should be thankful they can earn money fighting because they wouldn’t get far in life doing anything else.
StinkyFingers, is it cool to come from a city full of unemployed broke poorly educated druggy “homiest” scumbags? You get no respect for having lived in a dump, people take shots at any undeveloped shithole because it deserves it.
Theres something wrong with your head if youre proud of Stockton.
by paniczoo on Sep 15, 2009 3:48 AM EDT reply actions
I really think Guillards worse enemy is his over-agressiveness. It has got him choked out a whole bunch. He is a triangle choke magnet and Nate is really slick at throwing up the triangle!
